How long has he been in the industry and has he had any difficulties or faced any issues as a photographer with the constantly changing dynamics of fashion from the heroin chic era to the waif thin beauty standards to today’s more inclusive  body standards as well as the obvious pivotal changes we are noticing when it comes to diversity.

Also so does he have any insights on the different perceived expectations on men and women in the industry and the standards they are held to.

Also can he give any opinion on the very obvious wage gap between males and females on the highest levels of the industry and is it as skewed for newer or less globally known models or does it start to balance out.

Hardest location/s be ever had to shoot at and why?

I can think of more if you’d like and I’ll come back with anything else that comes to mind.

These are excellent!

If anyone has anything else as well feel free to post. I'm going to try to get him something soon though

If he really wants to discuss diversity then maybe ask:

What does he thinks needs to change in the industry and what does he do to help the cause?.

Has he ever experienced/witnessed racism or discrimination on set? Without having to mention names of course.

Then something other questions that comes to mind:

What kind of clients does he like to work the most with? (I.e commercial brands or more of hf/editorial type of things)

Which model/client that he has worked with made the best impression?

How has social media changed the industry for him? In this day and age where everyone with a cool camara and two instagram filters calls itself a photographer.

Anyone have any possible interview questions for her you want me to ask? I'm going to send her something shortly and have been conversing back and fourth.

Thanks!

Nice, should we do some sort of sticky header/announcement on these interviews?

Ohh that's a fantastic idea! I think a lot of BZ members just go straight to the forum, would be a great way to redirect them to a blog and to announce our interviews!

It seems that a lot of models from smaller countries especially Eastern European countries flood the market and have difficulties breaking into the industry. I personally have noticed that quite a few girls struggle to go beyond one or two seasons without what seems to be pressure to remove their clothing and do more riske pictures. Have you had to face these problems and if so how have you dealt with them. And how would you recommend anyone else trying to get into fashion deal with them based on your personal experiences?

Sorry I can't really think of anything else at the moment other then some of the same questions asked of the photographer. Also, when I mentioned the difference between male and female models it wasn't so much as how they are treated but the huge difference in wage gap. It's such a weird dichotomy as in most fields males are assumed to make more whereas in the fashion industry predominantly in models females make substantial amounts more then their counterparts.

Do we still ask for proof of ID for thread deletion requests or not?

I've been ignoring the guest complaints. I figured if it was a legit copy write issue they would make an account and reach out to an admin, not just haphazardly report it as a guest. Typically with broken English.

If it's like a 1 page thread or if no replies in years, I will delete. If its active then we can probably ask for more proof.

If its a guest complaint then yes ignore it, they can send a formal removal request via email as specified in the legal part of the forums if they really want it removed.

Hey katchitup. I’ve got someone else who is willing to do a blog. I went out on a long shot and reached out to mj. One of the leaders in body diversity or force feeding it to us and she is willing to do an interview with you. Or at least one of her team members do one

DAYM yes hook that up I will gladly do that!

Also thinking about changing my Bellazon name so that the author on the blogs looks more legit. Plus I am posting for my friends and other people to check out as well, so it would be cool if they were published as my name or a form of my name lol.

Let me see if I can edit the settings within the WordPress blog. If not @maddog107 I'll have an admin just change my BZ name in general. I'm a little over the Katchitup thing too tbh lol.

Alright, I'm currently emailing Alyssa Conroy and I'm trying to figure out if they want to do the interview via email or skype, or however else they want. I'll let you know ASAP.

Hi Katchitup!

I've been in touch with Alyssa Conroy, and she was looking for some information in regards to the interview with MJ. Do you have Skype, or did you want to hash out the details on here?

Hey! I do have Skype, I also find Google Hangouts Meet to be an easy way to do calls. That way we are also able to share screens as well. Whatever works best for her! Does she have an estimated date/time that the interview would work? I am pretty swamped and want to make sure I make time!

@SympathysSilhouette @PinkCouture  @maddog I would like to change my username if that is okay. I didn't know if there was a way I could just change it on WordPress so that my author name would be Lindsey as opposed to katchitup, or if that means I have to change my Bellazon name in order to reflect my WordPress name?
