ok, so Nicole is not for it. Anyone else want the rule gone?
before most of you guys were moderators here, when capt and i did all the moderating, we enforced it.
riiiiight i forgot...ok the mods are tainting you i suppose so you no longer enforce the rule. got it!
ok, so lets enforce the nudity rule. i think it should be added to the rules list that nudity in siggies is also not allowed. seems obvious but you know, people are unbelievably stupid. ok so then i can tell Taben, Mikele, and SOCOM (mwahahaha!) that their siggies are inappropriate. and then from now on, ALL of us follow by the rule, including and especially james! none of the mods should have to clean up after his ass lol. we enforce the rule in others and then that should work right?

i was the only one that enforced the nudity rule.....yes anyone can click it but its the principle of it.
Not trying to jump on your back about it but what about the Adriana avatar the other day (or was it yesterday)? Either way, you shouldn't have used it, even if you did take it down after I said something.
The problem with giving the rule up:
1. This forum is based in the USA and it is illegal to show nude pics without membership and age proof requirements.
The other reasons I posted above...
2. we have alot of kids on this board and it's always good to err on the side of caution on this sort of thing.3. many people like to surf here at work or in some other situation where having the nudies in plain view might make it impossible for them to do so.
4. If we "strip away" the nudie rule, things will surely get out of hand...and quick. And where then will we draw the line? What exactly will be acceptable and what will not? What would stop people from posting nudies in every post and/or in everyone's sig? It will be impossible to draw it without hurting feelings or pissing people off. The best thing to do is to stick to our nudie rule.
The problem with lack of enforcement:
For the same reason we got after Marduk for not consulting the rest of the staff when a banned member came back and wanted to get in, we should all agree to stick to the rule no matter what we decide it to be. We cannot have admin OR mods off doing their own thing because they "feel like it" or cause they don't agree. This of course applies to me too because Torben's sig would have been gone this morning but I'm waiting till we decide this damn thing.

Ok, so we are good on the nudie issue. Let's now settle an issue brought up before....the use of the warning system and the manner in which we decide to ban someone.

Before warning or requesting a ban, EVERYBODY must post it in the Member Management thread. It's there for something........

well i know for bannings i've seen capt ask for other people's opinion on a ban, and the rest of the admins just ignore him, so i'm going to have to say that the admins should actually RESPOND when someone brings up a ban, warning, etc.
