well since Ashley is no longer here I feel that I have to say something. Jimmy, I used to like you better BEFORE you became admin. I am aware that I was the one who recommended that your admin status be official because I too thought you'd be a great admin. Figured you'd get stuff done, but ever sincd you became admin, I have liked you less and less. Certainly on this board. Outside here, I think, oh yes, THIS is why I like talking to Jimmy, Jimmy's cool. But on BZ, I really just want to ring your neck sometimes.
Take the fucking issue with Taben and lim f(x) for example. I have NO fucking idea what made you think your little remark in the Judging area was funny but it wasnt. Moreover, the fact that you can joke about it suggests to me you don't realize just what a huge issue it was for the staff as a whole. I feel that since that moment it's been pretty tense around here. But whatever, I guess I should just "get over it"
edit: didnt see your comment jimmy so this isnt a direct response to it.
Am I beyond making a stupid comment?..of course not. Am I beyond being misunderstood or not conveying my thoughts correctly?... of course not. My only recourse is to admit that I made a stupid remark and apologize if I offended you guys. I don't understand why anyone didn't say anything at the time though....seems like that would have avoided the build up of "tenseness".
well lets put it this way. nothing would've built up if that issue had been laid to rest completely and nothing else stupid had happened shortly after. but first you have the taben-limfx issue. that was supposedly taken care of, and i had gotten over it and didnt feel it needed to be addressed until you made your jackass remark in the Judging area. things wouldnt be tense if they were more spread out...but its that first issue, then the Playboy thing which is STILL going on for some reason that is absolutely unbelievable to me, other remarks etc. it wasnt brought up initially because initially it just seems like a disagreement that one can move on from, but then it keeps coming up again and again, and that is when it becomes a major problem. at least thats how it is for me.
as for ashley, i think she made herself pretty clear time and again in the staff area.

Here's what I've been told and observed. You don't do anything. At least that any of us have noticed. The only thing that comes up in my personal memory is the whole nudity/playboy thing which you're still throwing around as not being a big deal. Then there was when you defended GG and Worshipper when they were basically being assholes and starting fights because they could.
And joking about sexual orientation is uncalled for.
Let's not assume that just because we don't see someone doing something, that they aren't. Sure, I'm not a big contributer of pictures, but that's not why I was made admin. I was made admin because I know my way around IPB and I've been able to take care of some things in the background. There are also a couple other ways that I contribute here, mostly in the background though.
I guess I defended GG (only in here) because I felt he was getting ganged up on, and he didn't deserve it any more than anyone else. Did I defend WP? Oh, you probably mean with Barry, huh? Well, that I'm still wondering if I made the right decision then.
about the joking...see my above post.

Unbelievable to you, huh? Well, believe it. My issue about a picture of someone fully clothed that was published in Playboy is a topic that was never discussed. Why does this cause sooo much grief? Why do you have to get so fucking worked up? Oh wait, you are already worked up, you are just transferring the aggression since the source of the irritation is the same...me.
As for me falling out of favor with you...it was only a matter of time...we knew this.
As for Ashley...yes, she did, i suppose.
I would love to say I am finished making jackass remarks...but I have plenty more to make...I just don't know when they will happen, else I would warn ya.

I never said one thing or another about being a contributor of pictures. You could never post anything at all in regards to images or information but that would still not be the point. You don't get admin status because you post a lot of shit to the board, you get your own thread.
The only "changes" to the board that I've seen is what used to say "IPB" now says "BZ" on the forum images. This is just my curiousity, but other than that, I haven't seen anything being magically "changed" in the background.
I find if people didn't open their mouths and act like fuckwits they wouldn't have a problem, but it seems that several members have a foot-in-mouth syndrome.
Considering that people stated that they didn't like it, and saying something and/or someone was "gay" was a warning offense, and then you throw around a "whoops I didn't know you guys were offended" is a bad job of covering your ass. We said it was wrong then, and we're just restating that now.

I'll quote myself on this:
Playboy is porn, period. It doesn't matter if they're naked, fully clothed, talking about their dog, or what sexual position they like. It's still porn.

Geez, I'm not going to list every little tweak I did in the admin board.
Apparently my apology was insufficient, warn me then...and warn the ones who call people "jackass" or tell people to "fuck off" while you're at it.

I'm going to quote this because I honestly want an opinion or two on it. Of course since people only read what they feel like I guess this is just a waste of time, isn't it?
1. If everyone has such an issue about enforcing the rules, we should go down the list of each rule in here and decide if we want to use it, add to it, or toss it out and come up with REASONS for each. WHY do you think it should be removed, edited, added onto and then like normal individuals, we discuss it and come up with a set of rules that we can all agree on.2. We need to make a list of what is a warning offense. Because this whole thing about it breaking out into a fight every other day is really fucking tiring. If someone posts nudity without a warning, we warn them, if someone is an ass, we warn them. WHATEVER it is we all need to know what we can and can't warn about and that would save A LOT of headaches. At least I think so. So when lim whatever his name is, or Barry or Taben or someone else opens their mouth, we don't have to come back here and go "well it wasn't THAT bad" because most of the time? It is. And I'm personally getting fucking sick and tired of it being girls and against guys and the guys are just rolling their eyes and virtually patting the rest of us on the head going "there there" and ignoring everything we say.
3. We need set guidelines about what the mods and admins can do and can't do. And people with the status of mod and admin need to do their fucking jobs instead of sitting by and letting things get bad before they step in with a roll of their eyes to "save the day". Half the time I forget we have people as mods or admins because I never see them doing ANYTHING, and the only way you know they're on the mod team is their little title says so. And we need to be held accountable for our fucking actions. If you fuck up, you get punished for it. Have your status removed or whatever if it comes to that. Because just because you're an admin or a mod doesn't make you God, and a lot of people around here fucking act like it.

first of all you actually havent fallen out of favor with me. i think i made that pretty clear. i think you're cool when i'm not interacting with you on bellazon, when i'm not dealing with you as an admin. i mean that. it's another reason i was reluctant to bring up the issues i have with you as an admin. this isnt a "falling out" unless you want it to be. i thought we were better friends when you weren't an admin.
i'm not going to address the Playboy issue again. I think Meghan has made many good and intelligent arguments regarding the issue and so I refer you and anyone else to her.

Good ideas.
I do think a list of admin/mod duties is a neccessary item for us to construct.
Also, the rules for issuing warnings, and rule review.

So taking meghan's playboy argument farther....we need to check the source of every picture posted here and make sure they weren't scanned out of an ad or editorial that was in Playboy....clothed or not.
I mean Susan Eldridge from Arena magazine is better than the Jessica Alba from Playboy?

Arena isn't a softcore porn magazine. It doesn't come concealed in black plastic, and you don't need to be over the age of 18 to buy it.
The point is not the fucking nudity. The POINT is that the magazine said nudity is coming from is A PORN MAGAZINE. Quote, end quote.

Ok, so we will just treat this as other topics, let the rest speak up and the majority rules.

hey james that's your cue. i know this is the only issue you have an opinion on.
btw, i am also for laying out mod duties or at least what we should be warning people about.

wow umm quite an eventful night huh kids?
IMO
1. ok well i vote for the playboy ban
2. i think we need to split our mods and assign them forums rather than just having the forum led my "global mods"
3. a list of duties should follow as well

#2 is especially important; it's something jimmy mentioned to me a long time ago but it never officially got brought up.

OK well here are some of my thoughts.
First of all, I don't particularly believe in ever removing a warning. Harsh? Quite. That's kind of the point though. I'm tired of people's rampant idiocy and the like. Totally aware that no one is going to go for this one, but just had to let myself be heard.
I haven't warned a person for hotlinking or posting nudity yet. Generally I'm more concerned with namecalling and other really derogatory remarks. I think if someone is new, maybe they shouldnt get an immediate warning for posting nudity or hotlinking but after the first time, I think a warning is definitely in order.
I also think that three instances of major flaming/bashing should warrant a ban. less if a staff member has been bashed or worse ignored ![]()
As for dividing up the forums, I am most often in Models and General Talk. I don't mind handling those two as well as some others. General Babe Discussion, and the Guy forums.
Finally I do think we need to be held accountable for our actions or lack thereof as Meghan suggested. Of course, this becomes a problem when one admin won't let us hold another admin accountable for his actions because he'll shut down the board. This becomes unfair to other staff members who do fuck up and are forced to be held accountable while one gets to run wild and free and do whatever he damn well pleases.

I agree about the warning thing. I never understood why we removed the warnings after a certain time but I went with it since it was easier than debating it.
I think I've only warned one new person for posting nudity but other than that I have given people chances. As for hotlinking I didn't know we were supposed to warn.
Agreed.
I'm mostly in Models. I hardly ever venture out unless I'm bored enough to do so which isn't often but you can add me to the General Discussion list if need be.
And I agree again. (Y)

Who is this Ashley you speak of?

For sections, I don't usually wander out of Models if I can help it. I don't go to General Discussion period, but Model ID and the Polls area I've been known to poke through on occasion.
Which reminds me of something else. I asked earlier what people thought of making a "models IDed" area where once images had been named, the thread was moved there and retired with the name of the model. If no one else wanted to do that, I'd volunteer for it. I don't know about everyone here, but it drives me nuts to see the same girls IDed over and over again.
