ashley...you're back happycryingwft5go.gif

Who is this Ashley you speak of?

Which reminds me of something else. I asked earlier what people thought of making a "models IDed" area where once images had been named, the thread was moved there and retired with the name of the model. If no one else wanted to do that, I'd volunteer for it. I don't know about everyone here, but it drives me nuts to see the same girls IDed over and over again.

I hate that as well. The Models IDed area is an absolute mess imo, so it'd be nice to have it more organized. At the very least those threads that have been IDed should at least be closed. something! lol

My opinions:

Warnings should not be removed.

What is this "dividing into sections"?? Don't you guys check every new post with the "Today's Active Topics" feature?

I think that all models that have been correctly IDed should have their topic locked and moved to an IDed models section. Chilax had it that way and it seemed to work fine.

I dont think already ID'd models will solve your issue. Assume i had no idea who the model was, am I suppose to look through all already ID'd models and make sure she aint there. I think people will just take the easy route and just repost and ask for the ID again.

Although already ID'd and non-ID'd would make it cleaner, but not solve the reposts.

to answer the 2nd question: No

In fact, I stopped using that feature ages ago. It pisses me off Also, most boards actually divide up responsibility.

It is quite time consuming, but I thought that was the way it was done.

Anyway...

I've seen Lolita start a few topics for models and actresses but she doesn't start it "properly". I know that we don't have any set rules that mention how a thread should be started but it bugs me to see a small bio and one text linked picture. Some examples:

http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?showtopic=4024

http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?showtopic=4116

http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?showtopic=3823

Should I mention this to her or just leave it alone?

Maybe that's something we should add to reworked rules or whatever. Or maybe make a "guidelines" thing, seperate from the rules, to explain how to upload images, how to maybe start threads if people need help, that sort of thing.

I dont think already ID'd models will solve your issue. Assume i had no idea who the model was, am I suppose to look through all already ID'd models and make sure she aint there. I think people will just take the easy route and just repost and ask for the ID again.

I had in mind that like...if they modeled for VS it would be [NAME OF MODEL] - Victoria's Secret or you know, something like that. Maybe just their name and what they're known for or something.

If that's not something, we could just delete the threads as the models are IDed. Since if you think people wouldn't check a seperate forum of already IDed models, they probably don't check the threads now.

I put up something on how to use the upload feature. If you can't figure that out you're pretty stupid.

I say we just delete all the inactive threads that have had models ID'd before because if they think it's a certain model they'll just visit that person's thread to find out if it is that person (someone pointed this out the first time you mentioned it).

Also I think seperating it might get confusing. Especially with reported posts.

You know my thoughts on that one.

Anyway, so deleting old threads would be fine. It would at least clean stuff up and get those models who haven't been IDed a chance. We still have to figure out what merits a warning, and go through the rules I think. Especially that nudity thing that seems to be such a huge issue.

Oh and Nicole reminded me. I also think the warnings should be left. That way people might actually realize that they have a good chance of getting their ass banned if they keep acting like asshats.

I agree, warnings should be left in place, unless they do something extraordinarily good to expunge their record.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dividing up moderation duties, or at least assigning cetain "Mod Leads" to the busiest of sections will be benificial for four reasons:
1. The mod in question can take "ownership" and have a more focused sense of where they are to "do their thing".
2. Mods that are not wanting to do as much "mod work" as the others can take on the smaller sections and thus find their place without having to be badgered.
3. Members will know who to go to for questions regarding this section.
4. Members will have a sense that someone specific is watching them and they might be less likely to "act the fool"...or at least know they will be called out.
We can keep the Global Moderator designation and still assign Moderators as a sort of lead to certain sections.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A person who refuses to do anything we request, whether it be about how to start a thread properly, how not to address another member with respect, or whatever....should be warned or restricted in some way, imo. In the case of this person who can't start threads correctly, she shouldn't start them.

sounds good to me. only problem about starting a thread "correctly" is that we technically dont have anything saying what the correct way to start a thread is. yes, it's common sense but we can't restrict someone from doing something we havent explicitly made clear in the rules. That being said, either "How to Start a Thread" should be added to the Official Rules OR a separate thread can be created and placed in the Bellazon Forum Rules and Conventions section (like the search function thread). Either way, people would know for sure that there's a proper way to start a thread. To add to that, if we do something like that, we should also add that it's not appropriate to stick something else in the Main Title of the thread except the person's name. (e.g. Jojo = jail bait - forget about the title itself being stupid lol it breaks from convention and isnt aesthetically pleasing haha).

Oh yes, one more thing about dividing up mod groups. I think all mods should be responsible for the Models area mostly because it's the largest important area on the board. Then maybe we can divvy up the other sections depending on how often mods bother with those sections as well as how much time/effort the mod is able/willing to contribute to the board as jimmy suggested.

Well, my point about the "how to start a thread properly" was not really focusing on that part of the deal, it was mostly about the failure to listen to the staff of the forum.

Yes, I understood as much. That doesnt really change the nature of my comment though. From what I understand she hasnt been told how to make a thread properly so she hasnt failed to listen to the staff, and since it's not in the rules either, it just got me thinking that perhaps it should be so that there's no confusion. That's why I brought it up.

This is what I think should be reasons for a warning:

Warning Offenses

1. Bashing or calling people names. The whole "gay" thing, calling someone a cunt, etc

2. Posting nudity as a thumbnail or image.

3. Posting nudity without a warning

4. Acting like an asshole. Edit: Being a malicous asshole. i.e. "i know more than you do because i am this and this and this and couldn't give a coherent argument to save my life"

5. Posting offensive material. I.E. porn, graphic violence (mutlitated animals, that sort of thing).
