yea it could easily be done, as well as batch uploads (instead of one pic at a time) but again back to the bandwidth issue, it cost a ~300 a month to keep this up and running, so I want some return on investment and if i did that it would only go even higher.

Hmmmm the circle thingy gives me an idea. That alone is too small to fill up all that white space we got left over, mabye we can do a girl like petra in taht space and other girls ofcourse for the others that hate petra.

Another thought I had when I woke up this morning, is if the logo was kept large, so the circle went over the top and bottom of the banner, and then a model could be screened inside, it would take up a large amount of space, but still have the model thing involved. Which I think we should do, but Petra on the default banner makes me kind of twitch. Not because it's Petra, but just how it's set up.

Not that the model banners I was working on look any better at the moment.

I was wondering, you know how you can add a Post Icon to your post? Well can I remove them from the first post of the Model threads that have them? I think they break up the uniformity and well, frankly I find them annoying (examples are the Jacquetta Wheeler and Cora Skinner threads)

James, to reiterate what I mentioned to you before, when it comes to the placement of the google ads, it would be a good idea (thinking in terms of return only) to put the ads close to the primarily used navigation buttons for each page. For most of them it would be the top of the page but in the threads the bottom would be better...above or below the reply and page# buttons would be best. You put these ads near navigation and you will pay for your hosting easy. Sure, Google ads are not the best as far as return but they are very low maintenance and they send they checks as promised. Like we talked about, I've been playing with these for about a year now and am finding that the simple trick is placing them near navigation. The reason is simple...that is where people's eyes are going to go.

ie. MarisaMiller.info (a stupid one page psuedo-site) ... since 2/1/06 has had a whopping 2,251 page views and has made $30.60 Translate that to BZ numbers and you can get the picture. Sure it's not apples to apples, but you surely will make more than the $10/month you fear.

Feel free to mess around with the "maddog" skin to adjust the placement of the ads, I am just using that as a mockup for the time being untill we get a logo.

I added an ad to the bottom only on the "showtopic" page...that's the "thread" to you and me.

I wonder....maybe we could try ONLY running the ads down there for a while, just to see how that works first...before we go with the banner at the top.

Also, I notice you chose to display image ads only on top...is there a reason you chose that? We would get alot more diversity in ads with text ads, fyi. The bottom ad is image AND text right now, so it might display either depending on how it "feels".
