I think sometimes the problems with members we have is because there's a huge language barrier. In the case of this member, we need to have someone who speaks italian explain things to him. Biting off his head isn't going to get any sort of message across.

I think that's an issue all around though. If we are going to be more strict with rules, we have to be considerably more tactful and nice about enforcing them....at least until people get all bitchy and at that point it should be taken off the board and into PM....IMO of course.

I think things only go into bitchy, at least in most cases, when you repeat yourself twenty times and it seems like all you're doing is talking to a brick wall.

I don't know what's going on, but I can't add polls in the threads made by other members. People ask if a mod could add a poll for them, but I can't do it for some reason. Why is that? Am I losing the Force..?

oh ok so you CAN'T edit the first post and add a poll BUT you can reply and "manage this topic's polls" and add the poll that way.

Feel free to mess around with the "maddog" skin to adjust the placement of the ads, I am just using that as a mockup for the time being untill we get a logo.

I added an ad to the bottom only on the "showtopic" page...that's the "thread" to you and me.

I wonder....maybe we could try ONLY running the ads down there for a while, just to see how that works first...before we go with the banner at the top.

Also, I notice you chose to display image ads only on top...is there a reason you chose that? We would get alot more diversity in ads with text ads, fyi. The bottom ad is image AND text right now, so it might display either depending on how it "feels".

Thanks jimmy, I just added the ads to the default skin, we will see how it goes, I still would like to reorganize the top since not all people actualy reply around here. But i guess its a start with just one ad way down there.
