Okay, so there is this band Silversun Pickups just starting to get more shows I think they are pretty good 
They kinda have an alternative rock vibe, my favorite song of theirs is "Lazy Eyes" don't judge it on the title haha 
. Then there the britpop band Air Traffic they haven't released their whole album yet theres only a sneak peek <_< But there 2 songs which are out are amazing 
. I've been listening also the song "Let me in" by Hot Hot Heat alot too :| have you listened to that yet? 
. And of course nothing is wrong with listening to Artic Monkeys with Death Ramps I like the song "Nettles" . Also I like The Perfect Victim a new LA band they have a rock with a slight punk vibe and I like it

Thanks for the reccs but you could've just ignored my post in the Now Playing thread and thank you for Silversun Pickups... they sound really similar to some band but I can't put my finger on it...should listen more... I can't find anything by Perfect Victim though. Do you listen to much punk? Also, do you like electronica? I've been listening to a bit of electronica at the moment

I don't use itunes and I don't want to pay for most of my music either I just download using torrents

That's like 2 Gbs of music! I'll try to listen to more and tell you how some of it is like I can tell you now that most are like alternative or indie and kind of laid back, not much to get you up and jumping around. If you want to download you should try Sloan, Nick Drake and Iron & Wine. Jamie Lidell is like soul and Mark Ronson is just a composer doing covers of different bands like Britney Spears and Kanye to Maximo Park and Kasabian.
