I only like one song from Kele's album and that is 'Everything You Wanted'. Can't say I listen to any others. Best Coast sound good but after a while all their songs all sound the same to me and Tame Impala are good. I don't listen to much of their stuff but this cover rocks

Yeasayer are coming down again for a festival next year :hell yea!: Along with Beach House and Two Door Cinema Club Interpol and Mark Ronson are coming down too That venue reminds me of this:

^ Sheldon is my hero!

As a band who are almost permanently dressed in black suits, I can't imagine Interpol's look would really lend itself to the Australian weather, but I applaud them for trying anyway.

Do check out Beach House if you can though. I didn't think there was any way Victoria's voice would sound like it does on the album, but it does and seemingly without even trying. Pre-song banter could use a little work though - "How about that Millennium bridge? Yeah, that's a good bridge."

I'll definitely be there to check out Beach House. Lol at the bridge comment. I'd love it if they did the same thing with the Syd Harbour BBridge By the way, do you listen to Angus and Julia Stone?

Didn't know much about them until recently - after reading that they were Australia's best kept secret, I checked out a couple of tracks from "Down The Way" and was quite taken with Julia's drawl. I might just have to give the whole album a go.

Some very curious goings on at Anfield these days, Ed! :|

Would it be fair to say that given the kind of money currently being thrown around, Kenny is in it for the long haul?

Possibly, but we'll see. Since the transfer window, not all has gone as well. I would still like us to be in the hunt for a good coach but I think the Kenny-Clarke combo is promising. Just gotta dump Lee. How are things on the non-penitentiary side of the Tyne?

Enjoying Interpol?

I flippin' hate February! It felt like the charge for Europe was on until recently, but I can't help thinking now that Bruce and Quinn have made a complete pig's ear of the January window and put paid to our chances. With games against Arsenal, Man City and yourselves coming up, we may be looking down the barrell of a seven game losing run. It's not all doom and gloom though, I guess. Need to avoid losing too much ground in March, so we can make a renewed push for the top half in the remaining games, which look very winnable in comparison. By the way, I don't think I ever said Raul Meireles would come good in the end, but I definitely thought it.

Though I probably wouldn't hold Interpol up against the early stuff (it was a long time coming and not a huge leap from their previous work), I've been enjoying it a lot so far and am pleased to report that it's a definite grower. I got to see them live last autumn but didn't know the new material that well at the time, which I kinda regret now.

Have you heard the Anna Calvi album at all? It's probably the best thing my ears have listened to this year.

^Her speaking voice is not really what I expected.. she's like a little mouse

She sounds a lot like Holly Walsh actually.

I reeeeeally want to see her perform live. I hope she comes to Australia soon

^Such a contrast from the thousand yard stare, full-on singing voice and guitar shredding of her on-stage persona. There's a UK tour in the summer (someone had the bright idea of skipping the northeast but I'll consider going further afield if I can find someone to drag along ) and she's just returned from the States, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's an Australian tour lined up in the near future too.

Ed's winning at a game of hide and go seek.

Did you steal Destiny, secretly get married and now having children thus avoiding your commitments to Bz?

Or you that busy
