Btw,I checked the English Premier League few weeks ago,I was shocked to see Man United ranking 6th or 7th after some even unknown teams to me.have I missed something about Man United? or is it something temporary?I always see it to be the best English team.
Yeah, it's a bit bizarre to see them placed so low in the league, isn't it? They still have more or less the same players as last year, who were plenty good enough to win the league easily; the problem is that they've changed the manager and the coaching staff, and they've already lost seven games this season, which would have been totally unthinkable for them in years gone by. They'll urgently need to improve and strengthen the squad this January if they're to stop their current half-season slump becoming a long-term decline.
Hopefully that improvement doesn't start right away though, they're playing against my team in the League Cup semi final tomorrow evening.
And they're on the way to lose Rooney,he's refusing to renew contract with the team, would it affect badly you think?or Rooney has lost some of his strength and affect lately?
Oh,what team is it? and what was the result ?I didn't check last games for English League.

Not entirely sure what you mean by "recommend" it to you? Do you mean you want me to sell it to you?
Glad you like the songs
Nothing so formal!
Just wondering if it's worth opening an account of my own. Is it always so handy for discovering new stuff, or more of a place to store your existing favourites?

It did look that way for a while, but reports today are suggesting that he'll probably sign. The Rooney of 2014 is still a great player when form and fitness combine, but with a £300,000-a-week contract, influence over future transfers and the club captaincy rumoured to be among his demands, I personally would be tempted to tell him to get on his bike. ![]()
I'm a Sunderland fan (someone has to be
), and we somehow managed to win the semi-final match on penalties. Whether a game against Man City in the final should be considered a prize or a punishment, I haven't quite made my mind up (ask me again after the game
) but I applaud the team for the magnificent achievement of getting there.

Both really, Well its probably in my top three websites. So I couldn't possibly say whether its worth it without having a biased answer. I'll run through the concept and you can decide yourself...
You start off by downloading a program on to your computer. This program is called "last fm scrobbler" Now this program links up between the website and whatever device you play your music on. (for me its spotify) You then start playing a song and this program "scobbles" ( In layman's terms records) the song on to your last fm page. It then lists it into 7 categories - "Recently listened tracks", "last 7 days" "last month", "last 3 months", "last 6 months" "last 12 months" (lists - every guys dream right)
Now here comes the good bit - last fm studies the kind of music you listen to and then starts to recommend not only other artists but other people who are into the same music. You therefore find yourself listening to music you would never would have stumbled upon. My taste has expanded ten fold and my taste has changed dramatically. I met this girl who has literally educated me on the American indie scene and I feel in love (with the music
)
You can interact with other users. post comments on Artists pages too
I first discovered it through Matt ("Mattlovesmodels") and I can't recommend it enough! There are plenty of BZ members on there too

Give it a whirl and see what you think. I believe its right up your street
In that case, it's written on my 'to do list' in very big letters!
I always get stupidly excited about hearing new music and potentially discovering something great. I’ll let you know when I'm fixed up. ![]()

If I remember correctly you are a graphic designer, right? Have you see this: http://sharpsuits.net/Home

Anyways, I hope all is well with you ![]()

Note to self - that's how one does new year!
Good hear to hear you've not been affected too much, I've seen so much news footage of the massively contrasting conditions across the States lately. Lots of stuff about the effects of the polar vortex, of course; most notably the freezing conditions at Niagara Falls. Looked a bit like a scene from 'The Day After Tomorrow' - but without the man-eating wolves, obviously.
There were a lot of people suffering from flooding over here until recently, though the catchily titled 'quasi-biennial oscillation' didn't really make it as far as the northeast - indeed, neither did the heavy snowfall we were promised in early December. I wouldn't be surprised if we got some in the next month or so though. I just ordered myself a new winter coat, which is at the ready as we speak!

I found it to be very rich, superbly acted, superbly directed and loaded with uncomfortable psychological realism. It is an important film due to its originality and subject matter. At a more personal level, I have some distant family members that are members of an eccentric well-financed cult like Scientology. The Master is already among my favorites. It's a film that needs two full viewings (I'm still working on viewing #2), and the individual scenes are of unusual quality. The first viewing is almost 'too much' to absorb due to how unconventional, yet real and painful the psychological situations that it displays are.
The film is, like TWBB, very open ended. It doesn't drive points home, but rather provides material for viewers to interpret for themselves. The low-keyed, rather than ham handed...nature of the film indicates much about the amount of thought that was put into constructing the scenes. So it's an exploratory work in a sense, and different people will get different things out of viewing it.
Check out my revived 'The Master' Thread. The film was originally 2:38, but was chopped off by 20.
I've yet to see 'The Master', unfortunately, but I do plan on giving it a shot. From what I understand, it's rather more of a character study than a cohesive story, and it requires multiple viewings to fully appreciate the various themes and subtexts.
Yeah, as is the case with most Tim Burton films, 'Batman' has that cartoonish and slightly artificial sheen to it, but it's also slick, stylish and just generally good fun to watch. I see it as a kind of middle point between the ludicrous but wildly entertaining TV series with Adam West, and the grim, epic Nolan saga.
Probably not, though I do think both Nicholson and Ledger made brilliant Jokers. Jack I guess went in more for 'comic book crazy', Heath went in for outright anarchist, but they were perfect villains for the films they were in. I often used to wonder what it would be like if they were able to switch roles, imagine Nicholson in 'The Dark Knight' or Ledger delivering the line “ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?” or dancing to the sounds of Prince. Well, perhaps not that last part.

Any thoughts on Messi's milestone? The Super Bowl is expected to be freezing. Of course, no one expects anything different from New York in the winter time
. If there's a big fall out from people who had to take off of work and travel long distances getting screwed in the process, it may be difficult for other cold weather states to get a crack at it. Of course, I like cold weather games as much as the next guy, but prefer warm weather Super Bowls so that chance is less of a factor. Obviously some would counter by saying the best team will overcome the odds and it goes back and forth.

And they're on the way to lose Rooney,he's refusing to renew contract with the team, would it affect badly you think?or Rooney has lost some of his strength and affect lately?

or doesn't he deserve these demands?
Your team doesn't have lots of fans? And I understood from your previous post that your team is facing Man United in the semi final not final match itself,or I got it wrong?
It's a prize believe me,it's recorded in any history for any team the times it faced big teams in finals,it's something so positive and good, whatever the result is.
And yes, surely it's big achievement but won't make up a lot in case of losing the match, which I don't hope to happen,as we should applaud our friend's team, right? ![]()

It's not as big a part of what I do these days, but I still try to keep my hand in whenever possible.
A lot of those are eerily familiar, though - the best one I ever heard first hand was "could you not just put the picture of planet Earth on backwards?" ![]()
It is, thanks! I trust all's well for you too? ![]()

Just make sure you take all the seeds out of the wedges or else you shall host some nasty problems
"The Day After Tomorrow" started a few weeks ago back east
The one shot that had me me impressed was seeing the Great Lakes frozen over
Ice fishing anyone? But some good news, maybe, over here for us. We have MUCH COOLER temps coming and a possibility of rain, fingers crossed here. Ah yes I heard about the flooding and massive waves some of your country was experiencing not long ago. I guess I shouldn't complain here yet all that water makes me think otherwise
Mother nature is a cruel mistress sir! Winter coat...what's that?
According to forecasts (well, the Daily Express
), we should be 95 days into 100 days of continuous snow by now, I’m not sure what happened. ![]()
Essential attire for us Brits. We only have to wear them twice a year, from January to June and then August to December. ![]()

Cool!
So this is me: http://www.last.fm/user/HorizonTries
Perhaps inevitably, my understanding of what I'm doing is still a bit tenuous at the moment, but I'm looking forward to seeing the recommendations roll in! ![]()

I always thought that the Prince soundtrack was inappropriate for the film. It just didn't match the story.. :-p
Yeah, when I think about Prince's involvement now, it puts me in mind of the MTV-like scene in which Jack and his crew deface assorted works of art, which I always found indescribably naff. I suppose it's forgivable now though, since the movie was very much a product of its time. ![]()

I watched a bit of it live this year, 'twas 22-0 to Seattle when I left it so I figured the eventual result was a foregone conclusion. It was more one-sided than the Barca/Man United Champions League final. I have to say too that the 'Legion of Boom' has to be one of the best sports nicknames ever, but I did find out a little while ago that the Jets used to be known as the 'New York Sack Exchange', which I think takes some beating. ![]()

I just don't think he's capable of doing enough over the next four years (when he'll be around 33 and his career will be in decline) to justify that kind of investment from the club. He can still be a nine out of ten performer of course, but he's already asked to leave twice in the last two years, and if he gets to decide who's captain and what players are signed, there's no way the manager can be in complete control.
Relative to the city's population and current economic situation, I'd say Sunderland is probably one of the best and most passionately supported in the country, but it's also a club that gets overlooked a lot in the mainstream media. They're not flashy or exciting, they don't have many well-known players, and it's not in a particularly glamorous part of the world. If you're looking for a team who wins all the time, Sunderland wouldn't be for you, but if you're looking for one with a habit of being wildly unpredictable, you'd be right at home. ![]()
Thanks.
We beat Man United in the semi-final and now face Man City in the final on the 2nd of March. My fingers are crossed!

Sounds like you guys are also lacking the COOLER weather as we have been. At least you have the rain though. Can we borrow some? ![]()

I came basically now to say my heart goes with people in England these days,I heard and saw the disastrous places affected by floods in the West of your country, they say that these big amounts of floods didn't happen in 250 years before, hope everything is OK for you and people around the country. ![]()
