Karlie, for a few months in 2011, was my most favorite model.  This was when she a real HF star and was gorgeous wearing all those big dresses with her long brown hair.  I also thought that she was a terrific model with talent for facial and physical expression.   Afterwards, she got more commercial (became a VS Angel), cut her hair short, and gained weight which made me lose interest and move on.

^ see with Karlie she's a good enough model that she can position her body to look like she has a definite shape to her body, but realistically she doesn't have much in my opinion. Even when she tries to position herself, I still see her as a skinny, shapeless model, so I don't buy into it. I don't like how toned she looks on that Vogue cover either. I didn't like her short hair phase either, she's not feminine enough looking in my opinion, to pull it off. Toni Garrn has a similar shape and height to Karlie and I didn't think the short hair suited Toni either. However, that's kinda irrelevant became I'm not a fan of short hair on women period.

For example, short hair is Halle Berry's signature look and a lot of people think she looks best like that. (She's not stick skinny and straight either) But I liked her better when she had the long curly hair.

When I think of Karlie's body naturally, this is what I see.

^ In regards to Karlie, I can say she's doing very well for herself. She has impressed me with all the prestigious modelling gigs she has landed. She is killing the game these days from what I've seen and she has created a brand for herself. I don't watch all her interviews or anything, but I do get the impression she's a friendly, out going person who is well spoken. Now looks wise I don't like her and never have. Way too tall for my liking. She has this Tom boy look to her body, I guess because of her shape. She has a somewhat banana shape and in combination with her height... it's even worse. I don't think she's all that pretty in the face either. When she smiles, her lips look non existent. Plus her smile in general annoys me.

Oh and the whole Taylor Swift thing, annoys me.

I will say that these days she has a bit more va va voom to her than she used to have, but I'm still not a fan of her looks.

I'm kind of torn about her I think sometimes she looks amazing, specially on dresses like in some recent pictures, and as Cult says I also liked her more when she had long hair. I also think she has a beautiful face though her smile doesn't always do it for me.

And I'm alway impressed at how tall she is  I know she's freakily tall, but I'm still surprised everytime I see a pic of her standing along another model.

But I definitely didn't like her for VS, even though she looked really good on some pics. I never thought she had the body for it, she lacks the curves, probably in part for being so tall. On the other hand, being that tall she has great legs, which I like But for me she kind of confirmed the trend VS has been having more an more of having thin almost "teen-like" models without much curves and kind of flat chested...

Carlos I don't like the VS trend either. Agent P bodies and your average SI bodies look better to me, but as was mentioned before... I can see why VS chooses the models they do. However, I guess it's because I don't think like a true fashion person, that's why the industry tends to go for the skinny, boyish models... and they like that, while I dont.

Andy , you spoke of the whole "talking to yourself" in threads... that's how I feel about both of Leo's threads, in the gen thread specifically I stopped posting as much as I used to because it was like I was just talking to myself... There's no real communication anymore.

Also another thing that I don't think I've mentioned yet. When it comes to my interests in models, I tend to not like many of the super popular ones that become celebrities (I mentioned that part before), but If I find a model pretty... to keep my interest she still has to do something somewhat noteworthy, or show to me that she's on the rise. For example I look at someone like Jessica Morrow... (A model that I don't think you guys like haha because I feel she isn't your taste) but for me I think her face is soooo gorgeous. Her body isn't my type, but her face is so pretty to me... that it's fine to me. However, she doesn't do anything interesting... she works for brands like Claire's and TOBI which is boring. I know her look is more commercial, so I was never expecting the high fashion stuff. However, I was getting excited when I saw she was doing some tests for VS Pink, because it is a step up above what she has done and I think her look is perfect for that brand. However, nothing more has come out of that.

Anna Ewers, isn't you guys type either... but I think why I like her is that I find her attractive (not the best looking or anything, but that's not important to me) plus she has that sexy look to her and she actually has boobs! She bares a little resemblance to a certain actress and Supermodel but I still think she has her own look where I can identify her easily. All that in combination to the fact that she's not a big celebrity in the gossip columns, but she's doing big stuff. She's done so much big high fashion stuff and I'm loving the fact that she's done Vogue and she got a Harpers Bazaar U.S cover.

Same with Ophelie, she's pretty enough in the face to me (not wow to me) but her face is memorable to me atleast. She has her own look. Plus, I'm a fan of her body type, I like boobs She's not known as a celeb and her career is successful in my eyes. She was on the cover of Vogue Italia and she's had other Vogue editorials. She's done relatively well on the runway. Now she works for VS, which is considered high profile too... but what I like about is that VS is working with a model with a body like hers.

So yeah, my point is, there are multiple things that come into play when it comes to my lasting like of a model.

Oh and I tend to like the bustier/ slightly curvy models... but I'm not into the playboy playmate type look. I don't like Samantha Hoopes because she looks so fake to me, fake boobs, fake looking tan. She looks like more of a glamour model, which I don't gravitate towards.

About, Anna Ewers, I don't know. She looks amazing in some pics (like those I think you had on a set not long ago), but in some other she doesn't quite convince me. But I like what you mention: she has a sexy look and she actually has boobs. But I'm not sure if I really like her. Curious, because she reminds me of Claudia Schiffer sometimes, and she was one of my early favorites.

And about Ophelie, I really like her body (amazing chest  ) but again her face is not my favorite... Still is nice to see a body like hers doing VS. Or like Lais: bustier girls.

(And I don't have issues with the Playmate kind of look    ).

I'm very anti- no eyebrows though lol. So I dislike seeing any model with the bleached eyebrows haha

Carlos, Claire's is just a jewelry store targeted towards pre-teens... maybe even teens. None of the relevant models work for them. So no wonder you haven't heard of it. And I think the store is just present in North America... Maybe even strictly Canada. All I know is that that store is present in pretty much every big mall here and that I use to love that store as a pre-teen but would never shop there as an adult.

I've never seen a TOBI store here in Canada, all I know is that it's not one of the brands that the relevant models tend to work for.

Maybe you are right and they are real, thanks for your thoughts. They just look too firm and round to me which was why I was skeptical. Atleast they don't look as bad as Samantha Hoopes though... her nipples are so high up that it's obvious they aren't real. With Elle it's not as obvious as Samantha's I guess, maybe she just had a better boob job.
