maybe we should post some kind of announcement asking members interested in becoming a moderator to pm us and then that will provide us with a pool of people to choose from.

Not a bad idea. I guess we can do that when all our current nominees reject the position

Maybe in the announcement we should ask interested members to PM an admin. Why do they want to be mod? Why they think they will make a good mod? Or something along those lines

I am sorry to inform you that upon viewing your completed moderator tasks it seems that there is not enough work being completed from you, for you to remain as a moderator. Along with not enough work being done we feel that you are not around enough to be an effective moderator. Currently we no longer have a place for you as a moderator at our forums. I hope you will continue to be a part of our community and not take this to heart. Thanks for all the work that you have done for us.

I think 2 seems fine. If not, maybe add Wild_Rose b/c she is often on the subforums (which most of us seem to avoid ) If you want me to ask her, I can since we talk on MSN quite often. I am pretty sure she will say yes.

Just one other general question for now:

Which decisions/actions can I take at my own discretion and which should first be discussed with the other staff members?

I guess things that obviously violates BZ rules, like a member w/ an oversized signature, or nudity w/o textlinking or warning, you don't need to discuss with the staff. And stuff like deleting double posts or merging thread you can do without asking. Basically use your common sense

As for stuff that should be discussed first...hmmm...maybe a member that is being troublesome and pretty much any major decision--again, trust your common sense

And of course feel free to ask questions (Y)
