When magazines do those polls over what guys prefer - skinny or curvy they either are very vague in their description or have absolute extremes.
I remember reading UK's Heat & it had the poll but the options were a VERY unflattering photo of Charlotte Church & a VERY skinny photo of Victoria Beckham.
I think Charlotte Church is incredibly sexy but the photo was so unfair.
Consequently the choices offered to the men were quite catch-22.

I think most guys want a girl who is healthy and happy. Confidence is sexy.I agree with moiselles - when a girl accept herself & enjoy a life - se is a sexy and attractive for guys.
lol, a girl with a hot body is attractive for a guy. Most girls who have hot body's are healthy, and almost all girls seem happy... at least to me.
Exactly
I'm not thin, but I'm not that fat either, I used to be sad about it, and non boy would look at me, but when you say "Ok this is me, I like myself" and you show this to other people, they start liking you too.. or at least that's what happened to me! And my current "date" says something "You need to get rid of this pounds" and I say "haha well I'm not, I'm fine with them!" and he doesn't care then.. it's up to us!

I like curvy girls, that is girls who actually look like women. And a natural thing for a woman is to have curvy hips and thighs, nicely shaped ass and boobs (reasonably big and round is perfectly OK with me). But sure, my girlfriend keeps whining about her weight (125 lbs with 5'6'' height) - she says she's too fat and has ugly-ass hips and so on, blablabla. No matter what I say to her, she always knows best. I hope she appreciates my viewpoint, but in her own eyes she's still "fat" (she wants to weigh about 15 pounds less). And when it comes to views regarding what is sexy, she prefers the skinny model look which to me is just as off-putting as it gets.
But the truth is, every look is good apart from the extremes as long as you're fine and healthy. Some girls have a hectic metabolism and they can eat a lot and never gain a pound on their body. Others have to care about diets and things like that. I say it's good if you can keep the best weight that you can actually achieve. Don't spend your time trying to get as skinny as you can, just listen to your body and find out at which point it feels best. Personally, I like curvy women with a few extra pounds here and there, but that's just my own opinion. My girlfriend is shaped exactly the way I like it, and I love that! But, as we all know, girls just wanna lose them pounds and there's nothing we can do about that ![]()

So chubby, then?
I've never understood curvy really.
I've always thought of it as hour glass figure (although not so extreme). Apparently it just means slightly more chubby or heavy set... more to love, with love handles, or whatever other polite/beat about the bush terms you wanna use. lol

Curvy does not equal chubby. ![]()
It means women who have actual curves, pronounced hips, a round ass, ...
Women whose ribs you can't count. Whose bones you can't actually see protruding through their flesh.
You get my point. ![]()
I get that, but the thing that always made me confused was when people would talk about supermodels such as Alessandra, Adriana, Heidi, Karolina ect, and THEN curvy girls. I’ve just never heard anyone refer to those models, or any other models with their build as curvy. It was them, THEN curvy girls.

I agree with you. If I read SympathySillouette's description right, then those women should be called curvacious. They got boobs, ass, shapely legs yet flat and smooth tummies. But everytime I hear people talking about "curvacious bodies" I see Oprah when she's gained 40 lbs, Tyra Banks when she can't squeeze herself into a swimsuit and a fat lady on Dr. Phil complaining about her husband saying she has a bubblebutt.
The majority of people use curvaceous as an euphemism for chubby. I'm not saying they're right in using it that way, I'm just saying that most people (including myself) don't have a clue what the right description for curvy is. Is it something the fatties invented to hide behind or was it actually supposed to be what Sympathy said? I don't know.
it all depends on the guy...if he shallow, then definitely (unless hes one of those "more cushion for the pushing" type guys).

I like chubby arms. Something about girls with pleasantly plump arms gets to my head.
Chubby arms and lots of boobie cleavage. Mmmmm...
Wow, that's a new one - chubby arms. Definitely never heard of that before, haha.

Giving head at the drop of a hat is also a major turn on for the kinds of guys you date ; )
so what, i like to do it. Ely is not every guy i know, that just happened to be the way i was with him, and NOT with everyone else. you like to make me sound like a slut... but then you go run around talking about what you do, (which I won't say here, because frankly I'm not a dirty asshole with a big mouth like .. hmm.. i don't know .. YOU) things that are comparable or perhaps even worse than what i'm capable of (unless u're lying
) and I don't go around trying to take u down. I guess I should remember that for next time, I don't think I want to talk to you any more.

That's because no one wants to admit it. Come on... you know you like it too.

I have to be honest with you and say chubby arms are a big turn off for me. I love shapely arms, like Jen Garner in Alias,
Jessica Alba in her superfit days and Jessica Biel in Blade trinity.

No thin sticks, but no flab either. I hate that when I see a twenty-something wave at someone with their hands, their flabby arms wave as well, if you get what I mean.
But opinions differ I guess. Or maybe you're just making a joke and I'm taking you literally

Same for me, I like thin arms with some muscle. ![]()

Hahaha, word, ladies!
Some nice examples you picked out there Expresso, I agree.
I think the waving of the flabby arms is a little different than chubby, chubby seems to just be a little a little larger than average, but not so much that there is excess that actually hangs loose. The broader shoulders will work not only to give you a bit of frame but it also makes your waist look smaller.
Well put Sky.
Chubby != Flabby

I like these arms too...

i care about my weight
i smoke 1.5 pack cigarette and it helps me ![]()

Of course there are girls who can look great even when chubby. And I like a bit of (pardon the word - I couldn't find a better one) meat here and there.
Let me illustrate...
I mean, is there even a word in English that means "chubby and sexy"? "Curvaceous"? "Buxom"? Or "shapely"?
I don't mean overweight women, just those with a little "extra" curves here and there... Beyonce, Kelly Brook, Serena Williams, Kim Kardashian...
I kinda care about my weight seeing as i weigh 120lbs lol
