Yes, I did... and I don't know why I remember such details easily

Because you're an intelligent woman?

So why did you wonder why she didn't marry you?

Well, when I mentioned that Leo effect- I personally felt it myself when I flipped through a magazines and found Lara Stone's wedding photos. I haven't really visited her thread ever since.. It is interesting.

I have happy thoughts (but no inclination) about getting married sometimes, so there. I liked her wedding photos- her dress was awkward enough, I like Anja, and the whole affair seemed close knit and scenic enough. I wouldn't want a huge wedding.

All of it comes from an internal longing for a reward of some sort- after years of very hard work...

A Utopian "You won", "Happily ever after" would do..

I don't know, I don't visit his thread but I've 'heard' his fans are crazy? It's like "Twilight" obsession for some of them I guess, and I have no idea why. Leo is loooong past his prime, physically. I'm sorry, but he looks like a coach potato I'm not expecting him to have a 6-pack but considering he's under 40.... he should take better care of himself. Or maybe he thinks dating attractive women takes the attention away from him? I admit, he's a very good actor but he's not a good-looking man; also, there's something in him that makes me think his personality isn't the best... but kudos for his environmental charity

You have high standards, Layla What is your ideal male figure?

From a male perspective- I think it's fairly hard for even a high testosterone type to maintain a six-pack. Eventually, people get tired of abdominal exercises.

I think Dicaprio is a very experienced actor with above- average talent... unusually powerful & well connected. The Thread is labeled "King of the World"...

What kind of irks me about his movies is the fact that he's not usually appropriate for the top roles. Plutocracy!

As for attractive women...Is Bar Rafeli famous because she dated him?

I don´t know as for me, I much prefer natural look - I myself never wear make up nor mascara, I´m allergic to such things. Year ago I even stopped dying my hair... and I love natural looking girls.

My partner doesn't wear make up either. I think that's the same for the majority of women these days, here in the UK at least. Thirty or forty years ago I think it would have been very different. My partner also works with pregnant women who have notoriously sensitive noses so she can't wear any make up at work.

BUT I can also enjoy a good make-up on a woman - but mostly on pictures, it´s like art for me, like a painting. In real life... I prefer natural look on everyone.

I didn't think of that, make up as an art form in itself, on a human canvas. I'm afraid that, like tattooing and body piercing, doesn't do much for me but I can admire the skill involved.

As for guys I know... dunno, my fl, after almost 4 years of dating me is used to NO make up at all and he seems to dislike make up on girls more and more my men friends keep telling me they love natural beauty, but when a pretty girl has a normal, nice and not very screaming make up, they don´t mind it at all.

I suspect that's because most men wouldn't even notice a 'normal, nice and not very screaming make up' and would regard it as a 'natural look'. A woman I work with once changed her hair colour from blond to red and it was three or four days before some of our male colleagues noticed. I'm afraid some of us guys are not very observant so I think make up is not as important to men as it is to other women.

Oh, and the few women friends I have, they all love to wear make up (some exceptions are there, of course) - they say they can´t go out without it bulshit, if you ask me

Bullshit, I agree, I think in this country you would only find older women (40 or 50+) thinking like that (and some teenagers too I guess) but maybe, in this case, I'm just being an unobservant guy.

I hope all this makes some sort of sense, I'm writing it at the end of a long day at work.

As long as it helped you, it´s great. Mine process of understanding (whether it´s me or anyone or anything else) has always been constructed of long observation of the object and thinking, reanalyzing, talking about it with others (in such a way they did not know who or what or why is discussed) and then again thinking and observation it´s an automatical process in my mind, mostly I don´t even know I´m doing it... then just something pops out, mostly emotion I have to connect with words (sometimes it takes month to find the right word). It´s neverending process, one cannot put the other in some box with a label on it... people facing different situations, their actual mood, their mental strength, and many other factors make it impossible

Only generally they do act like they are following some international pattern/scheme. When you cut them in pieces... it all gets oh so complicated. Mostly I only manage to feel them, but can´t really analyze them into words

Since you're from Slovakia, you must have some idea of communism. To my understanding, Marx's line of thinking was that humanity was ceaselessly moldable- like clay. One of his statements was something along the lines that educated human beings can experience a higher state of consciousness and choose to eliminate evil or wasteful habits of thought and desire through..eh...training and teaching. (or historically, indoctrination..)

On the other side of the coin is the Calvinist Protestant conservative who believes that people are, as you say, "cut out" for certain things by God and mostly are immutable. So there's something called "human nature" for them, and it's on a stone tablet.

This dichotomy even plays out in US academia- we have liberal psychologists/sociologists that believe that the human mind is neurologically a "blank slate"- as in people are born, and the environment shapes than for the most part while their more moderate intellectual opponents that emphasize genetics more.

My view generally falls in between. I do think I inherited certain traits from my parents and I believe that scientific understanding of human development has merit.

Yeah, you also brought up a memory of mine... father always kept us away from politics and "high society" in which he daily lived - I got to understand later how grateful I am for this manner of his. I´ve never understood such a life, but we are all "cut" for a different things. My sister can´t understand how - and especially WHY - do I manage my trips to woods, mountains, sleeping anywhere and even enjoying it. I, on the other hand, can´t understand what the hell can she do for three hours in a shopping center I mostly start to have headache after 15 minutes there only exceptions are bookstores.

The right moment ic crucial too Nowadays I try to talk more, although I´m more used to think than talk. Of course, when I´m drunk, it´s the other way round

Why are you grateful? The problem I had with joining local politics was the people and the general environment. It just wasn't a healthy one to be in. You could do it for a long time and come out a pretty bad person.

..

You like models, a lot Jennka- usually that correlates with a love of high fashion! What books do you like? I love walking around in New York with someone special. It's something that means a lot to me. When I was living in Hamburg I often jogged around Alster lake with my girlfriend or went boating. The waterways in NYC, on the other hand are very polluted.

I also wanted to ask you something else- how far has capitalism gone in your country since the reforms? You mention 3 hours in a shopping center- does that mean new malls and retail outlets are being built in Slovakia?

That´s great I´m sure she is very beautiful from inside out and back (if that´s how you say it ). Majority of women - seriously? Like, you mostly can see woman without make up than with it? Is it some trend in the UK now? I can´t say the same about Slovakia

I didn't think of that, make up as an art form in itself, on a human canvas. I'm afraid that, like tattooing and body piercing, doesn't do much for me but I can admire the skill involved.

I like good tattoo or good piercing but it mustn´t be tacky

I suspect that's because most men wouldn't even notice a 'normal, nice and not very screaming make up' and would regard it as a 'natural look'. I absolutely agree that make up is more important for women than for men Actually, I seriously suspect women that the whole intention to look the best is not aimed at men.... but at the other women

Bullshit, I agree, I think in this country you would only find older women (40 or 50+) thinking like that (and some teenagers too I guess) but maybe, in this case, I'm just being an unobservant guy.

My view generally falls in between. I do think I inherited certain traits from my parents and I believe that scientific understanding of human development has merit.

I agree with you - it´s always about what you inherit, and always about what you can do with it, and what you learn. In my view of world, anything is possible and everything is relative. It´s always about how you look at things and think about them, actually you can turn anything in your hands, turn it around and back and forth and the way you like it... on one hand, people CAN choose what they are going to do and who they are going to be, on the other hand, it doesn´t mean it WILL make them happy. And choosing what will make you happy and go for it while hurting as few people as possible - come on the dreams, desires, love, or just money - there are many things that keep as alive.

You know that all ideologies are based on good ideas... but done in wrong way. If anything, people are NOT cut out for perfection. It´s like Utopia. People who think they know evil and good and can clearly put them aside are always wrong - and, unluckily, these are those people who are mostly in lead of all ideologies... People are manipulatable, especially when gathered in crowds and threatened. But never all of them. And never for very long...

Why are you grateful? The problem I had with joining local politics was the people and the general environment. It just wasn't a healthy one to be in. You could do it for a long time and come out a pretty bad person.

Because mostly, when I meet such people, they give me some kind of uneasy feeling I can´t understand, nor can I describe it. It´s like getting mentally sick. You just... feel there is something wrong, but you can´t name it. And also, my priorities are absolutely different and somewhere else... not saying how this "society" changed my father at last. His life... and his priorities. Like you said - it´s not a healthy environment to be in.

You like models, a lot Jennka- usually that correlates with a love of high fashion! What books do you like? I love walking around in New York with someone special. I also wanted to ask you something else- how far has capitalism gone in your country since the reforms? You mention 3 hours in a shopping center- does that mean new malls and retail outlets are being built in Slovakia?

How far? Pretty far, if you ask me <_< new malls and retails are built every year... they are like mushrooms after rain. Once you see a huge not-used area here, you can be pretty sure it´s going to be filled by some shopping centre very soon. On the other hand, I would never want communism back here. Never. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, let it be democracy, aristocracy or any other cracy or ism... but some are better than the others. Now, it IS better.

As for high fashion, I´m seriously fascinated - I don´t know why, I just am. By fashion as a whole. Ironically, I´m no fashionist myself and mostly don´t give a shit about what do I wear...

What books? All of them when I was 5, I started reading comicses and fairytales, later I´ve been through detective novels, romantic novels, horrors, thrillers... anything that came to my hand. Now, I love fantasy books, especially Terry Pratchetts´ ones - my most favourite writers are Terry Pratchett, Peter S. Beagle and Christopher Moore. I love funny books as well as drama ones... but I prefer funny ones, those that can make me laugh. Ironical or black humour... doesn´t matter Terry can manage to do it all - he is witty, funny and full of deep thoughts wrapped in light words. Last two years I also got hooked on science & biology - reading Freud´s Psychology of a Dream and Young Girl´s Diary, Darwin´s Voyages on Beagle and On the Origin of Species... as well as some studies on cosmology or anything related to space, both relativity theories.... there is so much to learn, so many fascinating things.

I also love fairytales and Harry Potter

How about you and books?
