I love Milla and Kate, but can´t imagine them playing these charaswho knows, maybe they´ll be great
![]()
Natalia- tall, long haired platinum blonde, cold personality, russian (that's secretly a 3/4th evil Nazi conspirator)
Abbey- short hair dirty blonde, American (goody goody..)
Sydney- black hair, whip carrying Australian (seductress)
I've been out of the loop as far as film is concerned...but I can think of some models that would fit the look for each role well.
Which models? I´m curious
actually I started reading the comics
it´s fabulous!! I´m in love with Sidney!!!
she´s a whole lot of a gorgeous woman
and the whole comics is just great ![]()

Overall, I consider the Germans in WW2 to be much worse than Stalinist Russia. The Soviets did their share of crimes, but the Germans take the cake in terms of criminality, particularly in the East- ie. crimes against the Jewish people, Russia, Poland, Yugoslavia, etc. .When American soldiers occupied the West, many of them became affectionate towards German women and ended up marrying lots of them. To my understanding.. and ironic that fact is...well, the American military never really got along with the French population and instead preferred the defeated Germans much more.
Maybe the French women weren´t the easy target ![]()
I´m not really talking about this politics crimes - rather about how the soldiers acted towards the other people. For politics, you had the nazzis or the communist - one worse than the other - but for people, you had the Russians and the Germans, and from what I hear from older people who´d gone through it, they mostly tend to say the Germans were nicer. ![]()
but, all in all, they were all people, sometimes only boys who were frightened and scared to hell... many people here sheltered them, fed them, hided them when they needed - and it did not matter if it was Russian, German, Italian or Slovak... it was a human who needed help, and that was all that counted. Of course people were scared of soldiers, but even in that case, they helped. I think that war not only brings up the worst in a person, but also the good parts as well.

You know, Jennka, when you talk about people making their own houses and stuff...Am I correct in assuming, at the same time, that this is commonplace? In the United States the % of people that have full ownership of their homes has been roughly the same since the 1960s. The only difference is that the median home is twice the size today, and filled with gadgets. Most Americans, measured from 1930 standards, are rich today.
In 1930 John Maynard Keynes (liberal economics populizer) wrote an interesting essay about "economic possibilities for our grandchildren". It was hopelessly flawed but at the same time rather insightful. His prediction is that "in the future", innovation would ease the need for human labor and man's demand for material goods would eventually stagnate and then stand still. People would, theoretically, only need to work only 15 hours a week, and the there would be some sort of utopia on earth. Of course, he was massively wrong, and he completely neglected so many variables. Oh, consumer demand just kept on increasing.

The insightful part is when one stops to really examine what in their lives brings the most utility and meaning- And #1 for most is usually free time, love, friends, and family by a long shot.
It is commonplace for people out in the outskirts (or rather villages) that they are cappable of building their own houses and that they are very handy in general. The city people, on the contrary, not. It´s more rare here that someone is capable to build something by his own. In cities, only rich people have houses (or those who inherited) and mostly people live in flats, and in the villages it´s the other way round, which is logical.
What a nice utopia
I think people get ill from money - mentally ill. They somehow seem to forget what is really worthy, and important. They tend to forget about the nature and respect for it, and about the other people and respect for them too.

Thanks. Makes me feel a little proud to be part of this spreading process.I notice you didn't say anything about the picture, does that mean you don't like it?
I thought it was kind of dreamy.
Their are some very talented people on deviantART (quite a few with no talent too but I can live with that). Lois van Baarle, known as Loish is an artist I really admire. Here's a sample.
Her deviantART page is here... I think I'm getting the hang of this spreading process.
![]()
Oh, I almost forgot, lots of fan art on Loish's page including even more Disney princesses.
Oh, I´m sorry, I forgot - the picture was, of course, amazing ![]()
I know him
I´m on DA too and follow many great artists - there´s a whole bunch of them and the number is still growing. It´s a real pleasure for the eye ![]()

Fabiana Semprebom got married!
what? To who???

What more to say. Yes, it´s beginning to look like that here in Slovakia as well. Here, when you hear that someone has a title in "Social Pedagogy" you know it all. The whole society needs a change. Every year, there are more and more people with degrees coming from the universities, that mostly know nothing at all about work in practice.I am supportive of College education in general (outside of the flawed structure of the MBA and some of the esoteric liberal arts degrees) for not only personal but also vocational development. For instance, I like degrees in Philosophy and Mathematics. (In fact, I am quite intimidated, as I don't have exposure to this.) Their training really shows, and these knowledge bases can be combined with technical fields to enhance thinking skills. I think that well developed academic understanding can be a very useful skill in work, but obtaining theoretical knowledge/frameworks have to be done right- as in efficiently and with the right mix of interdisciplinary focus. It's this part that students often fail to pull off.
The hard part is the fact that as the job market in economies advances, more and more university education is often needed and this can become an overly burdensome exertion of effort over one's working life.
There is also a lack of independent thinking and self-realization in schools, if you ask me.

After watching this video, I think Isabeli could be a gorgeous Sidney Savage ![]()

^I don't know. As you can imagine, like most 'colonial' countries the folklore that we do have is a more general one of the indigenous peoples. That and whatever was brought over from Europe anyway. Actually Argentino 'folklore' is more to do with the music and traditions of the gauchos - the cowboys out in the Pampas. Or the roots of the Tango. My grandfather's family are gypsies though (as I believe came up before?) so that side is steeped in superstitious ways, herbal cures and 'divining'...Hm... Slovakia not really, rather Romania is rich with wampire folklore, in here we got dragons and dragon killers (Juraj the most known one), princesses, kings, peagants... but of course, people were superstitious and had a lot of "count to ten, don´t say the name" kind of things... people believed more in werevolves than wampires - because of the amount of wolves we got here. The whole folklore was more about good witches and bad witches, dragons, horses (no unicorns, though), fairies, forest fairies and nymphs, and kings and queens and princesses of course. How about your country and folklore?
We still entertain the old 'chupacabra' though. He may be more Mexican - but he still gets on with dastardly deeds here every now and again.
Oh yes, and there was this whole 'gnome' hysteria a couple of years ago:

Oh, Gnomes!
and people really believed that video? You know what fascinates me about this amateur monster-kind-of videos (just like with Lochness monster) is that it´s almost always very blurred, low quality and accidentally shot (because it´s common that people bring cammeras when meeting with friends at night
)
but I love the chupacabra thing
you know, just like with the Lochness, it´s something inside of us that wants to believe such things. That there are lot of unknown creatures (which is true, but the reality is mostly not so romantic and adventurous as people think), that there is treasure somewhere and that maybe somewhere, unicorns exist
Like Terry Pratchett once said, we need fairytales even more like an adults then like a kids.
And how about your Brittish side? ![]()
edit: I´ve actually read an article on argentinian tango and it´s roots and development - because there is a school about it in Slovakia and they wrote about it in TV OKO. The man - I don´t remember his name, but he is a "big thing" in tango issue - talked about how tango used to be a dance of the poor people, and just later transformed from streets to the dance halls. The whole thing was very beautifully written and nice to read.

^There are many a tale of the origins of the Tango, and some even dare to suggest that it's more French than Argentine?!?!And how about your Brittish side?edit: I´ve actually read an article on argentinian tango and it´s roots and development - because there is a school about it in Slovakia and they wrote about it in TV OKO. And my British side. I wonder, have you ever seen The Wicker Man (the original - this I cannot express strongly enough! :| ). It's a superb horror that deals with old British folklore. And is somewhat unique in that pretty much all the 'scares' happen in daylight:

This is very impressive and professional, Jennka. Is your boyfriend a carpenter?
