This was a record year, though they say the winter will be extra cold . I'm looking forward to that though . I'm just starting to love taking pictures and I know it should give me some great material.

Why don´t you post some of them here? Ha?

And how cold is there in Winter?

So the previous generation has a lot of carpentry skills, and they pass it on their kids? That's quite something.

In the suburbs and exurbs around here- people buy houses and are incapable of building them. We are so unskilled that we haven't mowed our own lawns in twenty years- we hire outside help for that sort of thing, ha ha.

..

I bookmarked this a long time ago since I found it rather close to my formulative experiences:

http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archiv...ation-kid/2164/

I'll comment more later on this culture, its legacy, and its idiosyncrasies, (too tired right now...)

Thank you for the link, gonna read it later, no time now but it seems to be very interesting reading!

I guess that´s how it mostly goes, though from generation to generation, kids seem to be less skilled in handcraft and more into computer games <_<

but you know, there always will be people who know how to build houses and things someone has to

Yes, the DA one.

tFS is nice. Members aren't as nice as ones here, but there are some really nice people. I was wondering if you'd like an invite?

You get a lot of your posts from the fashion spot, so I wondered if you were a member.

Also, I found some Anka pola's. She's so pretty in her polas.

Probably not that cold by the standard of a generally cold country, although the range from summer to winder is pretty wide I guess. Our standard of cold is probably 32-15, but nothing outrageous although it may seem that way compared to 105 maybe .

And if you insist, though I must admit, I don't really have any skill or knowledge of settings or anything per se . The only thing I bring to the table is I like doing it and great appreciation for small things . But here goes ...

Some random ones on my hard drive...

Kitty footprints in the snow ...

A plant that I don't remember where it was or what it is ...

post-17304-1315917314_thumb.jpg

Some random clouds. I like clouds .

Thanks. Makes me feel a little proud to be part of this spreading process. I notice you didn't say anything about the picture, does that mean you don't like it? I thought it was kind of dreamy.

Their are some very talented people on deviantART (quite a few with no talent too but I can live with that). Lois van Baarle, known as Loish is an artist I really admire. Here's a sample.

th_it__s_coming____by_loish.jpg

Her deviantART page is here... I think I'm getting the hang of this spreading process.

Oh, I almost forgot, lots of fan art on Loish's page including even more Disney princesses.

Oh, I´m sorry, I forgot - the picture was, of course, amazing

I know him I´m on DA too and follow many great artists - there´s a whole bunch of them and the number is still growing. It´s a real pleasure for the eye

I've been trying to figure out, for quite a while now, if it's worth me joining deviantART. I'm not a great artist but you've persuaded me that it would still be worthwhile even if I only use the account to comment on or favourite other peoples work. I have posted a few of my pictures though. Link on my profile page.

Give Cintia a pair of glasses, and all of a sudden she's a "Geek"..

Take them off, and she's something else entirely...

Miss Ophelia would do quite well as Valerie, too..^_^

I love clouds too and want more pics

32-15 is indeed not very cold, although it depends on the wind, on the degree of wetness (I love dry winters. It can get to -22F and you still not feel the cold as much as when it´s 14F and wet and windy... THAT it freaky damn *** winter. You can hear me swearing the whole day on a day like this.

Oh, Valerie. I think Cintia is too much sensual to be Valerie. She didn´t impress me much though... she´s like... romantic or what? In love with Baracuda? Naive?

No. Not my cup of tea. But I like her intelligence and smartness

Jennka in a new bulletin for Rossmann I saw a 'sale' on mascots... it showed a unicorn, yet the description said it was a pony but it clearly had a horn attached to its forehead!!!

Aww, thank you. The house is more or less done now, may post pictures of it somewhere. We're now trying to tidy up the garden and plant some flowers before the winter weather starts. Not used to digging and planting, feeling a little stiff today.
