I couldn't find the original and when I put both cat and snow in my thread, it didn't come up . It is interresting to see how many times the word cat came up in the search though . I'll see if I can find it. On a different note though, there was a Slovakian model or woman I was trying to get identified for awhile. She had a decent face (not as pretty as a single of your fashion models I know of actually), really great body, but I was interrested in her voice as I'm not as familiar with the accent as some others. Unfortunately, my search led me to the knowledge that she's actually

in the porn business

. Long story short, I'm thinking I should look up some interviews from some of the models to replace hers . I think I may have heard Lucia at some point and I imagine Zuzana wouldn't disapoint.

Maybe it´s the Mexican cooking that gave me the Spanish vibe - but I´m almost sure I remember something like this from my Spanish lessons when we were learning about food. Damn.

The other thing is, they never showed anything like this in American movies I´ve seen it looks very refreshing and tasty!

^Well that's cultural bias for you! Tamales are made with corn and corn husks, which are a 'New World' foodstuff and eaten by the Mayans and Aztecs (amongst others - in Argentina we call them humitas) - so they would have been appropriated by the Spanish Conquistadores. I only ever see them in "Mexican" restaurants in Spain though...

I know that you were referring to the "Christ" bit, but still... ok, I know people are morons, just that... WHY the hell would anyone be offended by that?

Or maybe it´s just that Christmas is "Vianoce" in our language, and it does not contain the "christ" in any way or meaning, so I have not met anyone who would feel offended by it. Hm.

^It's only ever people who want to be offended by such things. But Christians can also get offended by it's usage in what is mostly a secular holiday now anyway - and get sniffy that people don't recognise the 'Christ' bit! It cuts both ways.

In regards to Mahi's comment, Muslims can be as offended as anyone else if they choose to be - nobody has a monopoly on that emotion!

And where do you usually spend it? With your family? I never thought you to be a traditionalist but to be frank, I like the tree and I love the atmosphere - I just need to get out of the town everytime.... there is nothing more beautiful for me than a Christmas day - the 24th of December - spent in woods. You sit outside on the terrace on a bench and watch the snow falling down, and everything is so quiet. So peacefull. It screams "Christmas" for me And then there are people I feel good with, it´s always so much fun. So... warm.

^I think I like the idea of the "traditional" Christmas, having spent so many of them in the blazing heat! In Argentina it's the height of summer - but then I also spent many in Qatar in the desert (where, incidentally, nobody mentioned Christ ). With my parents having split when I was a young child I'm never with my whole family, so I do the best I can. It's mutable, and so I like to grasp whatever cliches that I can!!!

I think I love this one:

The woman has an exquisite voice. And Yo-Yo Ma.Is.There. !

^I love Alison Krauss' voice too, since I heard her on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

And quick note to add here: It's going to be below the freezing point tonight in our area Jennka. Nothing compared to your place but good lord, when I step out at night, my nipples are hard enough to cut glass
