Oh my yes she does especially her mid-section...what a stomach! Just overall beauty and babe

Ah nice, that's a great idea hun Plus you can pass on that furniture down multiple generations if the future kids to be don't break it that is Nice to see someone with a talent and skill set to build something out of their own hard working hands and mind But ah yes, that equipment, always a snag with the plans eh?

Mhmm, and it's still holding up here. No serious heat waves in the forecast and I doubt we shall get one now that we are so late into September. Time for the rainy season soon!

How often it rains during the rainy season?

If he likes street fighting, I bet he'd love Krave Maga too . I like Russian music too, especially Tchaikovsky . Do you have any comedians you'd recommend? I don't know anything about their humor actually although I find Irina S. to be funny .

Random pic ...

That pic is so soft wonderful.

watch this It´s from a Russian movie We from Future, not an outstanding movie but this scene is epic for me. That woman who sings is called Ninuška in the movie, she´s a nurse.

This is why I so love Russian music.

No comedians to recommend - but when you watch Russian animated movies, you can sense that Have you seen any Russian animated movie?

I really don't know, actually.  I checked recently and was surprised to see the same obscure avatar (A vogue snapshot I think) being used.  I dunno, I think it's expected.  I'm sure many do, but they rarely post out of their own interests.

As far as old masters go, I sensed the same thing when reading the old economists.  They each have their own particular insights which had secured their train of thought enduring value.

I have heard from someone who has read his biography...that much of Darwin's success and innovation came from his excellent discipline and unusual devotion towards objectivity.  He would constantly question his old research and had very much a pure scientific attitude. He recognized himself as not someone with extreme quickness or brililance of mind and always retained a belief in his fallibility as a person.  He sought to compensate for this by being was unusually thorough in this thinking.

Is that accurate?

Absolutely One of his old tutors (the one who recommended him for the voyage of the Beagle, I think it was Henslow, but am not sure) told about him, that Charles never stood out with his intelligence extremelly - it was the way he saw things, his passion for science and love of nature - and his discipline. He had amazingly open mind and always doubted and questioned everything - especially himself. Throughout the whole On the Origin of Species, the most common phrase is "we are way too ignorant to thoroughly understand the subject in its fullest scale" - but he somehow felt the right way to go. He was also very respectful towards his science colleagues, and a very charming man.

However, the whole question about his not-very-outstanding intelligence must be taken within context - he was very, very well educated and his mind was brilliant compared to common people. I love this quote of his:

"Every philosopher knows, that the common saying "Vox populi, vox dei" cannot be trusted in science."

You're very busy with these hobbies!  But what I don't understand is this:  Why not just focus on one new language, and learn it thoroughly?

---

BTW, here are three pictures I really like:

Lais dancing Salsa at JCG's fashion show <3

Beautiful Valentina at RL and at the New York Public Library...with the original Pooh bears!

attachicon.gifYVL_5907_450x675.jpgattachicon.gifd70f525a1be411e3a7d422000a9e0846_7.jpgattachicon.gif7926b77822f111e39b6422000aa80460_7.jpg

Lais is @ 12:14

I don´t  have time for that. I´ve decided to invest in every new language 4 years of more or less intense learning, and then bang to a new language. I want to learn as many I can lol. I know that with kids one day, the free time would be even harder to find

I love the pics Valentina is really something else, isn´t she? She´s so... so "luxury" girl, unaproachable for a regular guy. Like this high society stunner lady you don´t even dare to dream about.

And nice dance, Lais! I realized how thin she actually is, and tall!

Not any more, though I used to work for a company who'd often communicate via telephone with an office in Germany. I thought it would be an ideal opportunity to practice my linguistic skills, problem was, whenever I'd try to speak German with them they would just speak English back. They probably thought their English was better than my German, and I guess they wouldn't have been wrong.

Love the hedgehog pics too. We used to see them quite often in gardens around here but I haven't seen a single one this year, which I'm rather sad about.

Bizarrely, I got my first real glimpse of the Slovakian mountains yesterday. I was watching a documentary about an artist/sculptor called Andrew Rogers and one of the works he created just happened to be in the high tatras, I couldn't believe it. It's really beautiful scenery, I'd like to visit one day.

attachicon.gifslovakia-sacred-andrew-rogers-land-art3.jpg

High Tatras are amazing place to visit, just like Low Tatras and generally ANY nature here. I´m a real fan of our nature lol. For now it´s the only thing I´m trully proud of.

Not much hedgehogs? How is that?

Lol maybe, on the contrary, THEY actually wanted to practice their English?

Woa, never thought I'd see beatboxing in a Russian movie . Although her singing is very hypnotic, I wonder if the fact that that guy made the accordion actually work was the greatest accomplishment. *decides against expounding on the horrors he's heard on the accordion* Its scenes like this that really bring the magic to musicals . Of course the same goes for ballet musicals, having those amazing dancers, great arrangements and telling a story all at the same time.

I've seen Russian cartoons by way of the 'New Girl' show. A Russian model commented that she (Zoe Dechenel) looked like Martishka the monkey and she actually does look remarkably like her . Actually, the Enchanted Boy is Russian come to think of it. I like the Anastasia cartoon movie although it seems to have all North American actors.

Why is that do you think?    Layla mentioned it too several times before and I've heard it myself.    What's common is the dual generalization that German women are too masculine looking and German men are handsome.  I guess they can't have it both ways, eh?

Personally, I've never considered German women to be unattractive and in fact they look very much like american women..(a lot of americans are in part, whole, or significantly German).  What helps a lot is the fact that German people tend to be fitter than most and eat smaller quantities.  This is just from what I've experienced...

Here in Slovakia, German women generally are not considered very beautiful at all

^ I don't know, maybe people still have the image of horrifying female athletes from FRG :| or just 'big', as very masculine-looking. Anyway, it is also surprising that I heard German men saying that the only good-looking German girls are mixed (nationality or ethnicity) ones.

English women are also generally not considered to be attractive....

I was about to say- a lot of Americans are of English and Irish extraction (#2) as well.  But German is #1.

If there is a tendency with looks from these ethnicities, it's certainly centered around having faces that are too narrow while lacking defined cheekbones.  With the English, their noses are often too long and dominant on the face.   Overall, I can't say that Americans are particularly good looking.  Kind of middling, imho.  It's not like the situation where people visit Holland/Sweden and then comment on how good looking the people are.

I've never been to Russia but there is a sizable immigrant population near where I live.  I think of caucasian Russian people as having high cheekbones, wide-set eyes, and bigger oval/round faces. These are pretty much what all beautiful women have and that may be why so many top models are eastern european..<3

Christoph is an excellent actor - I totally adore him, damn. Hated him in IB has Leo ever won anything? I think that he´s one of the actors that eventhough being great never get a fair recognition from the award-giving-people. Who needs them anyway

Do you know this Anne Sofie List? There is something about her

Thank you

Andreea is amazingly beautiful, a total package of great body with a striking face, what more can one want VS can bring lots of attention to a model, which is great on one side, on other side it can lurk in also the psycho-fans who can make a thread unbearable to read

You can write me pm anytime and I´m glad you´re finally back to your old happy days (aside from the issue). I feel like something is changing inside me within the relationship with FL - it´s weird. I feel like I would like to start a family with him - not so scared as I used to be. I´m really considering it.

Every German person I know of over here is with a non-German, but I never really thought about it. You don't generally hear English women spoken of in the same way as some others, but interestingly enough, I actually like more English women (in looks) than say Swedish women who are widely praised for their beauty. On the other hand, Romanian women are also stereotyped as being manly in some places and (based on models) they exceed both the Swedish and French to me. On my end, Sweden does appear to have a high percentage of above average women, but not many that I can think of stand out in my mind as individuals. Czech Republic and the Netherlands on the other hand seem to have the win percentage I expected from Sweden based on reputation. Russia is so huge that if only 5% of the women were beautiful, it would be a lot of women. Its still easier to label a Russian look because it obviously isn't the biggest immigration target. I've been to France and the Netherlands, but haven't been to Romania or the Czech Republic though. I haven't been to Slovakia either but seeing as how many still (20 years later?) don't acknowledge it as a separate country, I had no idea how it was perceived beauty wise independently. I do know that they do seem to produce a lot of beautiful models relative to the population size. America is of course diverse and has a lot of people (California has more people than Canada). Its a huge land filled with mostly immigrants and descendants of those that took it by force. China has more people and is of course not nearly as diverse, so its easy to label a Chinese look. Brazil on the other hand is even more diverse than America. I've always found attempts to quantify what the 'American look' is to be somewhat strange. The blond hair, blue eyed is generally referred to as the 'All-American' look when not only did the majority of Native Americans have jet black hair and dark eyes, the majority of current Americans probably have brown hair with a lot of the blonde coming from a bottle and a lot of the natural blonde only being blonde at a young age. That might be closer to the Finnish look than the American look.

The ethnic breakdown is something like...

223 million white (with various ancestry)
39 million African American
24 million European Hispanic
21 million Non-European Hispanic
14 million Asian Americans
3 million Native Americans

ect...There are over 300 million overall with a steady annual increase.

Having said all that, I would still without hesitation say that I like American beauty as much as any other place .

Lol at that video

Do you like ballet, Joe? Haven´t met much men who do. Ballet is for sure a piece of art!
