I guess based on what you said about being homogenized you must feel the way I do about the Maxim lists
. Not only a bland jumble of it girls with a stardard of famous + young + not overweight + not offensively ugly = hot, but seemingly anyone on the list is one blockbuster film or TV role away from being 80-90 spaces hotter in one year
. Not to mention it seems to me some of the women's 'hotness' is almost being sold like a product almost like they're talking you into it ('you're a man, so you want this'
at least on some of its VH1 shows though I haven't seen this year's. But the media does have a way of trying to subliminally talk you into actresses' beauty like if I hear 'the beautiful Sarah Jessica' enough times it'll change my mind
). The most interresting thing about it to me though is they seem to mean 'hot' as in looks and 'being hot on the scene' at the same time, but obviously all the photoshoots are sexual and Meryl Streep can make ten movies in the year and not be on obviously, so the inevitable result is people thinking its all looks so arguing and complaining about the rankings based on looks only and why my favorite model is below Amanda Bynes is inevitable. I don't hate them though, but I just saw the thread and have a friend who's really into it so I find it kindof funny I guess ![]()

^I'm always happy to dish out some "hope" - she need only ask!i think the better question is can B give her some "hope" where she needa and is asking for itAnd always a pleasure to see some Behati on my thread, LMS.
i think the look in her eyes is calling for you. she knows who is best for her

i have never found Sarah jessica Parker beautiful. i have no diea what kind of crack some of these people are on. i give her credit, she has kept ehr real looks, which in Hollywood is rare, but she is average looking. But, as an actress, i do think she ahs talent.
and i do agree Joe, the media goes to great lengths to 'get over" the talent they want people to like and pay money to see. Like MEgan Fox. She is paltered all voer the palce, yet (IMO) cannot act to save ehr life. But we are being force fed that "beauty equals talent".
^I know 'Jason Stackhouse' from True Blood used to 'live' in Summer Bay too. Don't all the girls end up becoming second-rate popstars (Melissa George notwithstanding)?DealAnnoying! Her smile never fails to make me melt
Have you seen Garden State? If you didn't like her in that you probably wouldn't like her in anything <_<
Did you know the dude playing Thor is yet another graduate of Home & Away? Seems Australia is slowly taking over Hollywood.. soon it'll just be us and Natalie
And yes, I did see Garden State. And no, I didn't! I did like her in Leon (no sniggering at the back there - you know what I mean!) - and she was very distracting in Closer (yes, this time it is the reason you're thinking of!). So, well, let's just say I'm ambivalent in the main... ![]()

I loved Closer.. for many reasons. Did you know the dude from Knowing Me, Knowing You (played the food critic, the French chef, etc) wrote that?

Love Chris Morris too ![]()
The great Shaun Micallef did a great news parody show here just a few years ago called Newstopia.. went for 3 series I think.
They also did all these awesome fake ads in between.. none better so than the various "Inspektor Herring" promos ![]()
... And I say this in the depressing inevitability that Rosie will soon be atop such a poll.

All these "hot" lists are ridiculous, if you ask me
it´s always about the "girl of the moment" thing, quite boring at the same time...

it´s destiny!!

Do not, under ANY circumstances, watch this video. Do not press play. Back slowly away from your screen and just walk away from this. Ain't worth it.

These quotes about the video say it all.

By the way, Michael*, I just received the BBC 'Sherlock' series on DVD - so I can finally see what the fuss was about (+ Gemma Chan)... (Y)
Ah, excellent - do let me know what you think! When I first heard about the series, I was fully expecting to hate it but I couldn't have been more wrong. A cracking, if strangely short-lived little show (perhaps with it being a modern adaptation, they were reluctant to commit to more than three episodes?
).

Lolllll. Totally agree
Takes me back to a great bit in the movie Ed Wood, where Sarah Jessica Parker reads a newspaper article about herself and asks Johnny Depp "do I really have a face like a horse?" - before proceeding to pull the one of the horsiest faces of all time. ![]()
