@maddog107 - Sorry about all the emails. One minute the forum was working, I'd send you a email saying it was working, and then 2 hours later it started to freak out again. I'm happy everything is resolved, I've had a lot of PM's from members who are happy the forum is back, and very happy they get to pad their post counts and repost pictures lol..

Since BZ is hosted in the U.S., what are the U.S. statutes when it comes to libel, in terms of the responsibility attributed to the platform it is hosted on?

Generally it all falls under DMCA which essentially is the hosting platform (BZ in this case) is not responsible for customer created comments. This shields Facebook and the likes from lawsuits. So we should be fine.

Obviously if someone requests we take it down, we do that promptly but we do not need to be actively policing it.

But we should just follow our normal standards, if the topic is getting out of hand or going off track we delete stuff and tell them to calm down. If that doesnt work we ban them and problem solved

Still alive, bu for the entire month of April I've been battling back to back flu's + allergies. I was so sick for 2 weeks that I was dropping 2 pounds a day and I've been left with PTSD about food and I'm having to relearn how to eat.. I'm starting to feel a little better but I'm just mentally and physically exhausted

that sounds horrible. Hope you get better soon and I can imagine that is exhausting. Let us know if we can do anything to help
