Hey everyone. I am extremely sorry for my absence from BZ and mod duties. I have been studying photography. I've been super busy working and starting up my business. Please forgive me. It's a very long process. I just wanna apologise to PC and all you awesome mods for keeping up with everything. I'm going to try very hard to be here.

You a Canon or Nikon person? Is it worth it for me to jump from my Canon 7D to Mark III?

I'm a canon user . I am still very basic at the moment using a 550d because everything else is too blody expensive. 7d is fantastic and i've used it at my college. I haven't seen a mark III yet but i've heard a lot of great things about it. I say if you can afford it, then go for it.

Thoughts?

Can you create "Male Polls" in General Guy Discussion> Subforums? It would be very helpful

Provided we think we've got enough interest to sustain a 'male polls' section, no objections whatsoever.

I told her that I'm not sure there are enough guy polls to justify a subforum (I'm not even sure there's half a page worth) but that I have no problem with it. The only problem was I either forgot how to make subforums or its different under the new format. Of course, it could be that interrest in said polls could increase given such organization. Of course, that didn't help the Other Men of Interrest much but it could possibly in this case.

Received this via PM from the member blahblah. Do we usually ask for proof of ID before deleting content? If so, I'll get back to her and set the wheels in motion, so to speak.

I never really know what to do about those . I usually just comply if its a small thread that hasn't been posted in within the same year, but if its a popular thread proof probably wouldn't hurt.

Also, am I the only person having problems with deleted posts ? It seems that posts deleted before the upgrade are difficult to find. I also tried to move a thread from General Talk to Site and Forum and it just got deleted altogether without even going to the Tomb. It shows up in the search, but when I click on it, the message says that it doesn't exist and that I don't have permission to view it.

I also noticed there are a few threads that never got transfer here from the old board. I also get the same error message as Joe whe I try to locate certain deleted posts/threads. Is there any way we could still get access to the old board to manually transfer things here, or is the the old board gone for good?

Sara Sampaio's thread has just turned into the new Bar/Adriana thread. The amount of back and forth snips, snarks, name calling and overall aggressive nature is causing some members to freak out and send reports. Once staff go in and clean up those reports other members freak out that "we're dealing with the problem", and they don't think it's fair.

Do we ban the offenders? Do we warn them, and if we warn them, what do we warn them about? Because from where I'm sitting they really aren't saying anything bad. Instead you have a bunch of hyper active fans who don't like ANYTHING remotely negative being said.

Who's right, who's wrong and how do we deal?

Update: I've had to give them a warning to stop the chow chow, or we may look into closing the thread for awhile. Within the time it took me to write up the warning, there was 10+ posts back and forth of bitching. And a PM from Fakebuster with the following

Update Two: And FakeBuster and Pozas are STILL continuing the drama. I've removed their posting ability for 5 days.

Yes, constructive criticism are allowed but there was nothing constructive about what was said. The comments were obviously for the purpose of baiting & bashing which are violations of rules.

If after the suspension there are still issues I say we bypass the three strikes & you are out rule and just go straight to banishment.

I'm about to clean it up now. I had to step away from the PC cause some friends came over

Boss Lady? Not at all I certainly do not view anyone here as my subordinate.We might not all have the same member titles but when it comes down to it we are all members trying to help out the best we can. Sure, we might also have different forum privileges but I see it as dividing up the different types of tasks so things can be completed in an efficient manner. Like I said before, sink or swim we are in this together---we monitor and support each other

If anyone is the boss it would be MD b/c he is the one who owns/runs the server & etc

Thanks Pretty, I'll keep a closer eye on Sara's thread too. My astonishment at the levels of emotional incontinence there is pretty much a constant these days. Is it me or does she seem relatively inoffensive?

Could we start a personal thread for katchitup?

- She has been registered for more than a year

- Makes more than 5 posts a day, and I think the majority of them are not PIP posts

- I don't think she has been suspended or received an infraction in the last 6 months

I think DaniCullen nominated her for thread before. Don't remember but someone definitely did.

No objections. I don't know her very well, but she seems to make good contributions in a wide variety of topics.

I'll have to vote indifferent since all I know her for is complaining for the most part .Speaking of such, is the ignore function not still available ? I've made a habit of telling members to use it when trying to settle disputes and now notice that I don't see it myself.

Also, in case it comes up, my vote in advance is a no for Danni, ILuv and modelknowledge for future staff members. That's not to say I think we need to hire right now or that my fire before hire stand is unchanged of course.

Hey all, sorry I've been away for so long. I can only imagine how much I've missed. Between last semester at university and such, been pretty hectic. Now to the joys of the real world -___-

But in the meantime, since i see I still have a mod status, I'd like to know if you could use some help. It's nice to see some old faces, as well as old friends who are now mods I see. Do whatever you can. Like when you are browsing and you see an infraction just fix it. And if you get a report ticket, check it out and see can you resolve it. Sometimes members report stuff in Site and Forum section so make sure you check there as well.
