Are mods able to suspend posting privileges, or can we only give warnings?

If in fact we can suspend posting abilities I'm not sure how. kapiten is still posting nudity and refuses to listen to our warnings and I'd like to be able to do something about it, not just give him a slap on the wrist telling him he's been bad.

^ I fixed the settings so mods can warn and suspend the posting abilities of members.

After you select a warn "Reason" and enter the number of points (just enter 1), go to the bottom of the page to "Punishment"---> Click on Change--> Select whether to put the member on mod watch, suspend posting abilities or a general suspension (like a temporary ban)---> Click on Warn Member.

I think we should give kapiten either a 14 day posting suspension or a general suspension. Which one do you think is best?

Since I strongly believe kapiten is this orca78 guy, I guess he would just open another account if he can't post his mostly disrespectful pictures, so it wouldn't matter if he got a suspension or if you would ban him right away, I guess

^He appears to be posting again under the name of udinpetot. His posting style is minimalistic but virtually identical to that of kapiten, lordjhon and orcha78, with the same disregard for BZ's nudity policy. If we could stop him coming back, I'd vote to ban him outright.

After CarMELita mentioned kapiten and orca78 are the same person, I checked and needless to say she was right. So I banned those two account and another associated account, mbahjalmo.

His email address is mbahjalmo@gmail.com He also shares an IP Address with asromania who's email address is busugeng@yahoo.com (orcha_78's email address is busugeng@gmx.com). Also mbahjalmo's email address is asromania@doajayatravel.com. I banned all of them & etc.

Hello I really didn't want to have to send you another pm about that damn leo thread but it's too hard to stay silent about this lol.

Byprincess is driving me insane.every since that very first pic of the two together in Sydney she started this hating on leo and Erin... and its been the same thing ever since. Plus when she's proven wrong like for example there has been multiple pics of him and Erin WITHOUT Irmelin she doesn't mention that or the fact that we got several pics of the two in close proximity she doesn't mention that either. She just needs to find every and any little thing to hate on. Then the fact that she has her little followers repeating some of her bullshit is the reason i rarely even read leo's thread nevermind post (which is annoying because i'm just as big a fan as any leo fan out there)... This Erin thing is getting out of hand... that's why i like Erin's thread because leo really isn't a topic of discussion on there. people just post pics of the two without the long discussions.

this talk about his mother and the constant comparisons to his previous relationships is just too much. It takes up pages and pages sure its not off topic but really its stupid nonsense and REPETITIVE. Must every time a new pic of leo and Erin come out there has to be comparisons to his other girlfriends?

So i'm wondering if there's anything you can do... like maybe have those repetitive discussions be redirected to general chat or open another thread that closer mimics the rest of the threads on BZ?

I asked her to link me to when she felt the issue started or samples of the problematic posts. This is her response:

I skimmed through the thread. After PrettyPhile told them to stop the random chit-chatting and stay on topic, they have somewhat complied. However there is definitely a lot of extensive circular conversations regarding his love life (past and present). It was definitely annoying to read through Leo's thread b/c it was challenging to find actual content.

I brought this up before and I will bring it up again, I think we should make a thread in the Gen Guy Disc section where they can have these long discussions. It will be similar to the Gen Disc threads in the Female Model subforms expect it will not be in a sub-forum format. I suggest this b/c technically they are not doing anything wrong but it is obnoxious to go into the Leo thread and see pages and pages of discussions that adds little to the thread. If there are no other suggestions or objections, I will go ahead and set up the thread.

I guess you're right, Pink, it would be good to redirect this dicussion, but I'm afraid they will just be back in the Leo-thread in a short amount of time. We need like continuously monitoring the Leo-thread and post a link to the Leo-Discussion-thread right away whenever they come back and continue to rant ...

I don't want to install something like a sub-mod, but maybe we should ask fashiondream to report whenever the discussion gets carried away again, for she's visiting the thread anyway? Or one of us needs to check on it frequently. I'm not keen on the job, but I would do it if no one else is already following the Leo-thread.

^ I agree, a sub-mod is not necessary. I was hoping instead of having one person monitoring the Leo thread we all chip in. It doesn't have to be anything intense---just a quick skim. If we see any extensive discussions we will move the posts and direct members to the Leo Gen Disc thread.

Initially it might take members some time to get used to but they will eventually get the hang of it. The way I see it is if Lima fans can [kinda] do it so can Leo fans I will ask if FD minds helping us out with the reporting. After being banned and given a second chance by LF she seems to be committed to being a good and helpful member

There are tons of threads filled with needless discussions, what if people start complaining why Leo's got a gen-dis thread and not the others? ... but well, I guess I just answer it's a staff decision and I am not to question it

If memory serves, we did have a gen-dis thread for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley when the news broke about her role in Transformers 3. It ran it's course eventually, so maybe this one will too.

We will cross that bridge when we get to it. If members do inquire or complain, we can reiterate what I have already said in Leo's thread

Yo, what's up with those recent strange "reports" ... did anyone tell those guys that the report button is not for private messages? Otherwise I'll do ...

^ I think a lot of members are accidentally (I am guessing here) clicking on the Report button. It doesn't hurt to "remind" them the point of the button. So do whatever you think is best to handle this

EDIT: I assume it is ok for me to remove the "Report Button broken" announcement?
