The enter key is well appreciated indeed . Midday sun for all .  Modlknowledge wanted me to consider the idea of having standards a model should meet to have a thread. Some of those standards are being somewhat established beyond development with no last name among other things. She also wants me to delete said existing threads. One of my main problems with this is that (based on the disputes I've been in the middle of here) I foresee the likelihood of one of said models suddenly blowing up and there being strife about thread starting rights and such. That's not to mention the fact that I say members have a right to start whatever threads they want as long as its within the guidelines of said section. That's not to say that I don't understand the other viewpoint. I personally think that the one name Model ID thread should suffice instead. She also asked if the one name threads could be archived particularly if they haven't been visited in months and I don't have a problem with that idea or if they had maybe a little subforum in the model or Model ID section. If that were the case, the ones who started them would probably be less likely to just forget about them and have more of an invested interest in getting the information.

The one name thing I dont agree with. I have seen plenty of times where the person starts with just one name (sometimes the agency just states "Jane D.") and then later in the thread someone says the full name and it gets fixed, I dont think we should discriminate because of the limited amount of info available.

Also I dont really like making so many subfourms, just makes it more confusing. All the models are in one page, it would suck if I have to search through different sections if I only have the first name of a given person. 

Anyways lets see what the other people think but I say lets leave it alone. No archiving, no demoting single named models, etc. 

The phrase 'mountain out of a molehill' springs to mind. There are long-established models who go by just the one name and we're always going to have threads that lie dormant. Plus, if a new topic falls outside the guidelines of a certain section, we can quite easily move it to 'Others of Interest' or something.

I'll tell her the verdict then and like I said, there is already a 'One Name Model ID' thread and I think that is enough.

Has BZ been loading slow the last couple of day for you guys? For me it's taking an extra 10 to 30 seconds to load pages (if that load at all), and at other times throughout the day everyone loads super quickly for a couple mins then goes back to dragging.

MissLimaVlza also said she was having issues and both of are only experiencing the issue on BZ. Every other site is fine.

^It was acting up for me yesterday, but it seems to be back to normal now.

Yes yesterday was having major issues, thought i fixed it but not 100% sure. 

Ill take another look to see what is going on.

It seems to be working again

Still getting periodic slowness, but I am going to upgrade the machine which will hopefully solve the issue. BZ grown too big again i guess

If there are no objections, I am going to dig MissLimaVzla out of the archive and put it back in the Girls of BZ section. She did have a few instances of nudity violation (one of the SI threads last week) but she seems like someone who is generally well-liked and contributes a fair amount

Recently there seems to be a lot of complaints about image hosts with porn ads :notsure: I have suggested to members they should install an ad blocker if they have not already. It is something everyone should have b/c ads are inevitable, especially porn-related ones on free hosting sites I have Adblock Plus for Firefox. It gets rid of most ads including porn
 
I just got a PM from FD and she brings up some good points:

Is there a rule stating you can't link pics to upload sites which have porn displayed? I just clicked on Carlitoways pics and it sent me straight to a pornographic image. It's extremely annoying and to me its just as bad as not providing a nudity warning. Especially if your at work or you have other people around you and then you have that pop up on your screen lol.

 
Just want to know the staff's thoughts, comments or suggestions regarding this (especially MD's)

^ I put a job posting on Elance yesterday, hopefully someone will be up to the challenge and we can have something implemented to autodownload images to BZ in the next few weeks. Ill let you know once I get some responses to the job post.
