^ Yes but members ends up copy and pasting the links onto their browsers not knowing they are porn and for-profit links, which defeats the purpose of having the sites blacklisted in the first place b/c both are against board rules. Also, most of the images are purposefully reposted for the sole purpose of promoting the hosts. Furthermore, they are not "exclusive" images---all the images are easily accessible and replaced (Y)

I went through gary[whatever his name is]'s posts and deleted the empty/deadlink posts. I also banned him for posting porn, promoting personal sites, and using a for-profit host after being given unofficial warnings about all this.

 But! I saw that there was a member Bertrand57 here who took the photos of other members, as Marlen (in Sophia Loren) to put on Vintage Erotica Forum. With the same name!
 (I even think he has another nickname in the other site, and plays both roles)
 Also, I do not want to give you my pictures if they should be on Vintage Erotica Forum!
 Can you tell me that you will do something to stop it and that I can post my photos?
 (Of course, it is possible that others take. But here it is direct from Bertrand57, and he did not even ashamed He mocks you and members who trust and display their collections.

Perhaps, you can write to him just a message to " encouraged that people credit their sources ", as you say ? Like that, he can see that you know what he do for Vintage erotica Forum, perhaps he can understand he does a wrong thing to do that ?

I figured I'd share with the group to make sure there's nothing lost in translation to me here or if there's anything anyone else would like to tell them. Though not looking to mediate a feud from another site, I told said person that its encouraged to give as much information as you can for pics ('Cut Back on Reposts' Announcement) although to my knowledge there isn't a sourcing rule set in stone the way tfs has.

Is ImageSly a host we like, or not? I've noticed a small cluster of recent posts making use of it, by members with suspiciously minimalistic profiles.

^ No. If you look at the host it is obvious it is affiliated with Imagesion. I blacklisted the host and banned the member since he had a previous official warning.

I've had a couple of people ask me if there is any way to ignore certain members posts?

Cult Icon has requested that we clean up the Bellazon peeps pics thread a bit.

I don't necessarily disagree with him that there has been a lot of unnecessary chatter going on in there (though I am a bit guilty of it too... ).

Do we go in and delete some posts or leave it as is?

I am thinking about disabling images (and maybe even videos) in quotes like we did on the "old" board to prevent the instances of images being quoted multiple times Some members find it annoying that they have to scroll through quoted content they have already seen just view new content. It is extra annoying for those viewing the board on smaller mobile devices. It is something they enforce in many other boards. We could make it a rule not to quote images and videos but I think that would make things more complicated and more work for us in the long run. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

^ I understand their concern and annoyance, so I don't have a problem with disabling.  Frequent, attentive visitors to a thread know what posts have been made, so they will not find it difficult to make sense of the quote. Also.... If one wants to refer to  the original quote or video, it takes only a few seconds to scroll up (or view previous pages) for it if necessary.

^It only really bothers me when people quote posts that include multiple slow-loading gifs, but I'll back the majority viewpoint.

Sorry been MIA, my current job is up pretty soon so been going around like crazy trying to find a new gig

Anyways so the image downloader thing, we did hire someone and its been like 2 months and $4k later and not much to show for it, they downloaded 1million images (of like 6 million), so I will import those in the next few weeks and then I will just have to do the rest myself I hate dealing with these guys, faster just to do it myself

Anyways thanks for keeping everything running smoothly, I shall do the whole quote no showing of pictures thing when I get some time, I promise.

Question: I could have sworn I made a post in Johanna Lundback's thread yesterday, but the post seems to be missing.

Was it deleted for some reason?

I know we had this discussion before but should we not consider abolishing some of the model subforums?

Those things date back all the way to when this forum was founded and the structure of the forum it was meant to replace (ChilaX) was recreated.

It made sense back when those girls still generated a huge chunk of our traffic. But today that is certainly no longer the case.

Apart from Adri and (to a lesser extent) Gisele's subforums, the others certainly no longer generate the traffic to warrant their own subforum.

e.g. all of Petra's subforum had a grand total of 15 posts in the past 30 days.

It might cause some friction and resistance, but abolishing them (or even just the ones that barely attract attention or create activity) would be a more fair reflection of our members' current interests.

Thoughts?

Speaking of, is there an easy way to do both a page-view and post-log on those subforums in the admin CP?
