Yeah, I used it in the country (though I was the only person my age that had it
) and Mexico and it is indeed more common in Colombia. It would definitely be more suspicious if it were in one of the richer countries seeing as how here even McDonalds, libraries and section 8 housing here have more advance connections. Of course, it it is LMS, she isn't the smartest so generally four or so conversations will reveal an inconsistency. Then again FRANCY's stalker taught us that persistence outweighs cleverness when it comes to trolls anyway.

Could not find the answers to these questions from a couple of members:
1) What does "Bellazon" mean?
2) Who named it (the forums) that?
3) Who started Bellazon? When?
If the information is not anywhere in Bellazon, wouldn't it be great to have a little history thread?

^ If my old mind serves me correctly, when the forum was named Limax (aka Adriana Lima ) there was a popular vote and Bellazon won. I think the name was like
Bella = pretty/beautiful
Zon = Zone (dropped the e to sound fancier)
Maybe one of you other old timers remembers the details if I am mistaken. ![]()

^ Thanks maddog! ![]()

This informal warning I issued liika in Clint Mauro's thread was deleted:
Reminder: Bashing of models or celebrities is not allowed. The only reason you are not getting a formal warning is because your offensive comment was generic and not aimed at specific models. The type of model you denigrated, is a vital part of the fashion industry, so posts about them are legitimate and welcomed.
Respecting other members' posts is an essential requirement to being a responsible member of the Bellazon community.
Did any of you delete it? If you did, please let me know, and expIain why. I would have appreciated a discussion about this issue, before an apparently arbitrary decision to remove it.

I didn't delete it. ![]()

^ Wasn't me either ![]()

Not it...

MK sent me this PM. He said it's ok for me to post it here for all of us to discuss ![]()
Hi Pink
I checked with all staff members regarding my deleted post.
The following were nice enough to respond and ALL indicated they did NOT delete my informal warning: maddog107, Joe > Average,
Kevork 89, Michael*, Prettyphile, Sympathy Silhouette and, of course, you.
Since my posted informal warning was within Liika's post, she had access to it and, therefore, I feel that you, or another administrator have enough grounds to confront her about deleting it. Furthermore, as you know, tampering with a staff member's post is a warnable offense.
Deleting it is, in my opinion, an egregious act.
I, therefore, request, the following:
1) that you or another administrator discuss with Liika the deletion of my informal warning to her (in Clint Mauro's thread,)
2) that Liika be issued a reprimand and a formal warning.
3) that banishment of Liika be considered given her other inappropriate behaviors (e.g. showing lack of respect for a staff member - me.).
I feel strongly that Liika should not be allowed to escape from the consequences for her behavior. It will be difficult for me to move forward
if she is permitted to continue on Bellazon without some sort of reprimand.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely
MauiKane
The unofficial warning was edited into Liika's post, right? If so, where is the post? I don't think members could delete posts so idk
Unless you meant she edited her post and deleted your unofficial warning? :notsure: If that is the case I understand your frustration
It has happened to me but at the same time I could understand why some members do it. This is why I send unofficial warnings via PM, or edit the problematic post with a brief reminder to the member and create a separate post reiterating the rules to members ![]()

There is an issue that I didn't share with the staff because I didn't think it was a big deal, but has now become a big deal
. Well, has been made into one anyway. Long story short, Mahi created a thread called 'Catalogue Fashion.' Eventually, people started posting lingerie, underwear ect. from fashion catalogues in there. She asked to have it moved when someone started a thread for that stuff. I then changed the title to put 'non-lingerie' in the title. She then complains that she just wants the old title back. I told her then that I would change the title back but in my honest opinion, lingerie and underwear are clothes and if they are advertising a brand let alone in the same catalogue as the shirts, pants ect. it is catalogue fashion and thus if someone complains that they should be merged, I won't argue with them. Truth be told, that is my stance, but I let it be as long as people are content to post separately on their own. That is if someone wanted to start say a 'best athlete legs' thread as a specialty thread, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Long story short anyway, I was just curious what the consensus was if someone were to complain about the threads being separate.

Re: Pink's post #729 above:
Yes, my unofficial warning was edited into Liika's post. Her post is still there; post #371 in Clint Mauro's thread: "^ yes! i have been wondering too! He is the pure example of real man. "
The original post contained a section that referred to other members' posts of skinny, girly 16 year old boys. After a member complained, I deleted that part and posted the now controversial informal warning.
Someone deleted the unofficial warning that I wrote within Liika's post. You and six other staff members responded to my inquiry by indicating that they had not removed my informal warning. That is why I wrote you the PM that you have posted above.
Your suggestions on how to send a member an unofficial warning are very helpful. Nevertheless, the issue I am raising now is that if Liika deleted my unofficial warning, she should face the consequences I outlined above. My rationale is based on this statement in the pinned thread, "Warnable Offenses", in the Bellazon Forum Rules and Conventions forum that prohibits member tampering of a staff member's post:
5. Ignoring/Disobeying BZ Staff
If a mod or admin requests that you do (or do not do) something, please follow their request. For example, if a mod edits your signature, please do not remove their text and place the same image back in. This goes for general posts as well. Do not replace images after the staff removes them, do not edit out messages and thumbnail something again if we have requested that it be textlinked, etc. Also, a mod may as you to move something you've posted into another forum. Please do so without argument. Advertisements belong in the thread specifically titled advertisements, not editorials or general clothing for example. If you have a question, or do not know what something is, either post it in Miscellaneous, or ask a mod/admin for help before posting.
FYI for any interested staff member: For the original posts that initiated the discussion of this issue, see the Member Management thread HERE.

From Mahi's report
I reported something I wrote and yes you can see that staff has commented, but the only way I could read what had been written is by checking my email and seeing the reply there.
I had a feeling members either couldn't see the comments or they couldn't reply back b/c I don't recall any other them ever commenting back.

I see what you are saying
I have 2 clarifying questions. After she allegedly edited out your unofficial warning, did she repost the problematic comment either in the same post or in another post afterwards? Has she model bashed since the unofficial warning? I feel the rule applies more if she either replaced the comment in the edited post or if she posted it in another post, or if she was bashing again since the unofficial warning.
What do the rest of you think? ![]()

I'm in agreement with Pinky. If she's broken the rules after said infraction(s) then she should get a warning point added and at the very least a PM from the staff about why she's getting the warning.

Not that yall really care but I no longer have a job ![]()
Now I will focus on fixing some stuff around BZ. Anyone remember what the outstanding issues were/are?
The mobile images dont work correctly, what else? Thanks

I'm so sorry to hear about your job hun ![]()
My husband and I recently went through the same thing and had to move cross country as a result, but things are starting to look up for us, and things can only get better for you!

Sorry to hear about the job Maddog!

Thanks everyone, it was more of a contractor gig and I hated it (it paid well is the only reason I put up with it). Ill be fine, I have plenty of other sources of income fortunantly.
But now its time to focus on BZ again ![]()
