Received a query via PM today about Taylor Momsen and Miley Cyrus perhaps being moved from 'actresses' to 'singers'. Do we have any preferences as to where they should end up?

I'm moving on Sunday and will have a 3 day drive ahead of me So I may be away for a week.

Where are you/did you move to?

... In the part where it lists the staff members or somewhere on the site, I was thinking about a 'previously served' list for staff members. I didn't know most of them the way you all did, so I don't know the circumstances of each case of course but think it would be nice to have that little acknowledgement or tribute for them .

Sure, why not (Y)

Lads and lasses, just a heads up that I've deleted a topic belonging to the model Lizz Mohin. I received a message from her via the BZ Facebook page asking for it to be removed, and decided to comply. Shouldn't be much of a loss though, the thread hasn't been posted in for nigh-on six years and as far as I can tell, the pictures are all deadlinks.

Thank you (Y)

Whichever is fine with me. It is your call   Maybe even the Other Females of Interest section b/c it includes models/celebs who belong to multiple sections.

Quite honestly, I'm pretty neutral on the subject, but I'd be happy to try and canvass opinion amongst those who post in said threads. With permission, of course.

I'm on board. He always strikes me as a level-headed fellow, and he's a good conversationalist.

Coincidentally, I just received a shout for Nightlife to be given his own topic.

Thought I might as well stick with tzdon's original request, so I moved them to 'musicians'.

Quick question for all you tech-savvy staff members. How common are dial-up connections nowadays?

I can't speak for the US, but over here, not common at all.

Most ISPs even discontinued their dial in services ages ago. There might be one or two left who still offer it, but I personally know of no one who still connects to the Internet that way.

Very rare in the UK now too. Certain remote areas of the country are still on dial-up because broadband isn't yet on offer, but the number of people using it probably totals no more than a couple of hundred thousand.

Pinky, I found an article from 2012 (so the data might be, erm, dated) where the numbers for Belgium are 1700 dial-in users on a total of 3.5 million internet users.

So that is less than 0,05%. It's probably even less than that nowadays.

In a poor country like Colombia it would not be strange to have a dial up connection. In first world countries then yes it would be extremely rare.
