I think Ezra's got a bit of an American Psycho vibe. The others are more Wes Anderson

Still disappointed to miss out on seeing them in Feb. Guess I'll just have to get the album and stick with that. Got any more gigs lined up?

Check your PM

I've only got Sydney Festival and Mayer Hawthorne lined up. Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grizzly Bear, The Decemberists, The Cribs, White Rabbits and Passion Pit are playing soon or have already played. Lack of money means I won't be going to see any of them <_<

Guarda, I've been meaning to ask you - do you follow the AFL?

Good evening Limey. What are you up to?

Not really... I watch it every now and then but that's about it. I go to some games once in a blue moon. Why do you ask?

^Because I still do! I was (very) briefly married to an Aussie and lived in Melbourne. I became an ardent fan of the mighty "Old Dark Blues" (Carlton) and went to a lot of games. I still try to watch them on TV whenever I can, and subscribe to their e-mail posts. I just loved the game - so free-flowing and tough. Only stops when there's blood! (Take that football prima-donnas - yeah, I'm looking at you Drogba - although I'd let you off wanting to leave the Africa Cup Of Nations... )

Oh really? That's cool! Carlton won last season or something right? How do you watch them on TV - they actually broadcast the AFL outside of Australia? HAHA it's a good game and I watch it because it actually takes skill and it's free-flowing as you said (kinda like football ), unlike Union and League

Togo That's crazy stuff! Apparently they sat through 20 mins of gunfire or something. I can't believe they are still playing too! Are there any details about why they were shot at?

^Carlton did win a pre-season knock-out cup, but the Premiership has been elusive for a while! They did, however, finally finish in the top-half of the table last season for the first time in about 5 years... It's tricky to catch the game in Argentina, certainly - but you can find it sometimes on the Trans-World Sport show which is on at about 5am at the weekends on one of the cable stations <_< . I can view stuff online though. I know it's more of a Victoria "thing" but I wondered if you had any sort of affiliation?

As for that terrible Togo story: This rebel group Front for the Liberation of Enclave of Cabinda has claimed responsibility for the attack. Apparently the coach was driving through the terrorist's stronghold, and these separatist gunmen shot at them...

Well you can see how much I follow it You poor thing, having to wake up so early/stay up so late to catch a game. If you look hard enough the games might be available for download or something? You're right, it's much more of a Victoria thing but there are plans to start a club in Western Sydney. I go to some Swannies matches sometimes though, and they would be the club I support if I had to choose just because I live in the area. I also take time to visit the vicinity which the Swannies HQ is located (I don't think you'd understand that joke actually but whatever...)

It's tragic and apparently Togo have pulled out of the tournament with a view to returning. There were murmurs that some of the terrorists were out to kill some players e.g. Drogba. If he goes down this time, he might actually be shot by a sniper :| No source to verify though... just what I hear

Onto a bit of better news, we sold Voronin!!!

...FOR MONEY :hell yea!:  :Dinah:

Your life sounds as exciting as mine!

What happened to your head? last I heard it was your knee that had a problem.

I was going to post another lolfox pic but I couldn't be bothered uploading another picture and I didn't want to incur the wrath of the mods

That's bad luck, you seem to always get injuries that require long lay-offs were you wearing a helmet?

you say I'm lazy, I say you're over-en...

Of course i wear a helmet, it's just the force of the hits sometimes, and they way they hit you doesn't matter how much padding you got on.

You say i'm what now?

Got tickets for Grizzly Bear in March but apart from that my calendar is empty. Do check out Yeah Yeah Yeahs if you get a chance though, they're one of the best live bands I've seen

I'm still jealous that you've seen Metric :persuazn:

Grizzly Bear (Y) Do tell us how they sound live. I knew someone that bought tickets to both shows while they were down here :avada:

I heard YYY's were really good live from someone that went, but I didn't end up going Just finished watching Girl Talk tonight , but nothing on the radar besides Massive Attack in March. On top of that I'm missing Florence + The Machine and The xx next week <_<

Don't be jealous. Metric were great but the atmosphere really spoiled it when I saw them; It was outdoors and rainy with an unresponsive crowd. Emily deserves love too!!! Will they be travelling your way anytime soon?
