3. I want to get rid of the search suggestions. I thought it was awesome at first, but even though I type fast, I'd like to go back to being able to typ jelly bean without seeing or thinking about Justin Beiber .
^I hate "search suggestions" - I'm using an older version of Google as there's no way to get rid of it on the local Argentina or UK ones... Given that I switch between two languages every day when I search, the suggestions are oftentimes idiotic! 17433.gif

I remember reading about that Tim Minchin/Jonathan Ross thing when I got here just before Christmas too. Minchin was in the trail for the show right up until the day before - sitting alongside Tom Cruise no less - and then come the broadcast they'd edited his whole existence out completely...

Ross is still paying for his antics with Russell Brand from 3 years ago. As ever, the foaming-mouthed Daily Mail reading "moral majority" have gotten there way to continue to punish him - and stymie his more outre comedy tastes. I dare say Minchin would have be able to perform that song on a similarly scheduled show.

Probably my favorite 2012 SI photo, and partially because it has the least photoshop

^Agreed, that's one of the better ones.

It was just so utterly devoid of inspiration this year, like they were just phoning it in. The waste of all that potential is maddening, and well.. the less said about the Photoshopping the better

Looking over the scans though, the ones that made the mag were much better than the web shots on the whole. These were the stand-outs for me:

si1202.jpg

Then these were my picks of the web shots:

si1206.jpg

I thought Nina made a pretty spectacular debut too. She's a perfect fresh face for the mag, and I really hope she makes recurring appearances.

Julie: I knew her face was familiar.

Izabel: I'm not a big fan of hers, but that shot you just posted is pretty great.

Some simple things I want out of my internet experience.

...

I've seen a few of those reverse image searches before, but I've never had need for one. What sort of situation do you use it in? <_<

Its all about identifying models and or women for me . I don't recall ever finding one with it of course, but it has taken me to random "guy's sites" where they also don't know them as well as people's avatars I think .

I know, it really sucks arse in more languages than one . They supposedly let you turn it off if but then I find its just an excuse to get you to sign up and I don't care that much I must admit .

Donbot, I only liked 1 picture this year, LOL. With the pre 2010 issues, it was a completely different story- at least 50% of the shots held my attention. Anne was at her prime back then. There was Bar, Hilary, Brookyln, and the other better SI girls..

Also, Julie H. was good in her first year, I'd recommend her old shots over this year's. And yes, she has a magnificent body! Sexy and athletic!

Does anybody like Tori Praver? I've just realized that some of her early work is killer!

Did you ever read those 'Tomorrow' books? Just saw that the film of the first one (Tomorrow, When The War Began) was on television here, and I remembered they were a big deal in Australia. More with girls though, I suppose...

^Yeah it was good, although I really hate the DLC model that developers/publishers have latched onto in the past few years. I suppose there's no going back now though

Lucky we got Minerva's Den on PC at all too, since it was cancelled at one stage

No, I didn't.. but then I'm not really a big reader <_<

Was the film any good? I remember seeing the trailer when it came out, but I never got around to it.

^It was OK, I fully admit I only bothered because Phoebe Tonkin was in it...

I thought the books were more to do with Australia's constant concern about the "Asian Invasion" - but that side of it wasn't really delved into?
