So, I see the Eagles are already doing well - in the "first big final" of the season. Don't get to see the NAB cup here at all but, as I recall, it's not that much of an indicator for the league itself is it?

^Yeah, not really. I actually haven't been following it, since it's not being shown on free-to-air tv this year. Although the final is being broadcast on the weekend, so that'll be good.

You're right though, it's never really a true indication of the season to come.. some clubs just kinda phone it in, and/or protect their top-tier players from injury. I've watched it in past years though.. the most interesting thing about it is when they trial new rules. I think the 'supergoals' are quite exciting (9 point goals when kicked from outside 50m)

It's encouraging to see my Eagles doing well so far regardless. Can't wait for the real season to start though!

It's just the pre-season though.. I think the interest in it has been waning in it anyway. Maybe it's Channel 7 who didn't want to pay for the rights

I skimmed through the final 'Hellboy' book (newly released, Called Storm and the Fury). Mike Mignola finished this vague, incredibly unpredictable and splendidly imaginative story. I hope that he, with his great knowledge of folklore and epic myth, creates something else great real soon.
