How come?!? Yeah, I do have it but I haven't watched it a lot lately. When I get to see tv in the evening, they usually play "Fashion Divas" :yuckky: (music videos of the most famous female stars at the moment; I have MTV for that, thanks, plus they chose those videos randomly-I understand putting stylish stars there but are Kelly Clarkson and Ke$ha Divas? Fashion Divas?!?)

At the time it was all very vague, but I heard later that it was something to do with a dispute over subscription revenue. It's still possible to watch it online, but it's not quite the same as having it on the background while you're doing other things. Still, if they're showing a lot of Kelly Clarkson and Kesha, then I feel a bit better about not having it any more.

She is! I heard she is pretty good, winning championships and all, but I would have to google-sadly I haven't heard about her before EURO. From what I remember they've been dating for quite some time, 5 years? There were rumours about them getting married this summer but I don't know if something's planned afterall.

It seems you can see her in action in quite a few different YouTube vids. Quite exciting, even for a pacifist like myself. Robert had better be on his best behaviour...

I watched that video without sound nice, thanks (Y) by the way, I just found out he (Robert) shares Birthday with Usain Bolt. And I also found an old quote from the former coach of our team:

"Franciszek Smuda, the coach of Lech Poznan [not currently of course], made the journey to Gliwice to check out Lewandowski’s skills as a footballer. In 15 minutes Smuda was so unimpressed that he told to the person who scouted him: "You owe me petrol money. If I wanted to see trees I would have gone to the forest instead.

Lmao I don't know when it happened but no wonder Smuda didn't lead us to the quarters of EURO (well, that's not only his fault but shhh) and now he's coaching some 2nd rate German team who wants to fire him already

Really? Wow! I don't know too much about Smuda, but I read last year that he thought Lewandowski was good enough to play for Manchester United. I suppose there are a few players who improve beyond all recognition a little later in life, but still, that's quite the 180 isn't it?

Yeah, information technology and general computer stuff. It's quite a good provider of jobs in this part of the world. Kind of an area of interest for me too, but sadly I'm not really that technically minded.

Whereabouts do you live, Mahi?

Hmm strange. Well, I have to worry you-after posting this, I checked Fashion TV 2 or 3 times and there were no Fashion Divas they're showing 'the best of the best' (or something similarly titled)-meaning the best of fashion shows, mainly (or at least that's what I stumbled across). Yesterday or the day before yesterday there was Elie Saab haute couture fashion show.

And well, for better or worse, Fashion TV never gets rid of 'Midnight Haute'

Well, I found this quote the same day I posted it. I would agree he's like a tree when it comes to acting (Opel commercial proves that, still a funny ad anyway) but Smuda isn't too... I don't know how to say it. I enjoyed it when he was a coach for those few interviews with him I got to see, but in a 'lmao, what a simple man' way rather than thinking he's so profound and what not. You know, shortly after EURO there was a live interview and he mentioned a match with CZECHOSLOVAKIA(!) and didn't even correct himself...

He looks a bit like a hybrid of he who must not be named (initials JB) and that kid from ‘Two and a Half Men’.

Speaking of 'must not be named' and at the expense of exposing my inner nerd, have you by any chance read 'Clash of Kings' or is that just a coincidence ? That description is

quit suitable though .

That Hannibal show looks pretty interesting, excellent cast too. Alas, I don't think it's reached our shores yet, but I'll definitely check it out if and when it does.

Oh yeah, I forgot that the same principle for the BBC shows works in reverse. Speaking of such, is this Defiance show a remake for something or is it new? I actually haven't seen it yet on the other hand. Good point about the Condor. I actually now think the reboot version might be overcompensating slightly whereas the first one just seems to be enjoying himself . Also, what's the story with the black belt woman on the other page and this guy in the suit here? At first I thought it was the Hot Fuzz guy, but then afterwards assumed that it was football related.

Yeah, Augie March were one of the ones I’d heard of. I made a point of tracking down ‘One Crowded Hour’ after it was featured quite prominently in an episode of ‘Doctor Who’ about a year ago. Beyond that, they've never really had much publicity over here, which is a pity because you can't beat that kind of Jeff Buckley-esque emotional rollercoaster sound when it's done well.

That song was pretty massive here at the time - but they haven't had a whole lot of mainstream success before or since, despite having a lot of critical acclaim, as well as notoriety in the indie scene. I don't think he (the lead singer) particularly enjoyed the success either, and even grew to despise performing the song at live shows. It's kind of ironic that the song is about his whole love/hate relationship with music and performing. Tortured genius

You should check out their album "Sunset Studies" if nothing else though, it's a beauty (Y)

Czechoslovakia, wow, where's he been living? That actually reminds me, a genuine line I heard from an older guy in conversation about the Champions League recently – ‘yeah, the West German teams are coming on strong this year’. By ‘this year’ I assume he meant 1990, I was almost tempted to butt in and give him the good news about the Berlin Wall.

Is this the Opel ad? It's really funny - the acting isn’t great, though I think I’ve seen worse from footballers in the past...

Isn't that one of the books that 'Game of Thrones' is based on? I haven't read them (or seen the show, for that matter), but I've heard a lot of good things...

Ah, that one I've heard of, ads for the opening episode are on pretty heavy rotation at the moment. Oddly enough, the first thing I thought of when I saw the title of the show was the video game of the same name, though I’m not sure if it’s a straight remake or an adaptation of anything in particular. I saw a couple of people I recognised from ‘Dexter’ in the trailer, and I think I spotted an actor called Graham Greene in it too. He's in just about everything - whenever someone needs an older Native American guy, he seems to be the one they call. He’s either got a very excellent agent or he’s the only older Native American guy in the acting game, I’m not sure which.

Anyway, I hear the show has been a bit of a smash so far in the States?

I’ll definitely give ‘Hannibal’ a look, even if it’s just to see what Mads Mikkelsen can do in the lead role. The guy’s terrifying as himself, let alone when playing a character like Hannibal Lecter, and he always seems to be on good form.

Yeah, they’re both footballing conversations. The first one Anna Stachurska, a martial artist and future wife of the aforementioned Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski. The guy in the suit is Paolo Di Canio - new coach of Sunderland, the club I support. At the weekend, he gained instant cult hero status by masterminding a win against our local rivals Newcastle, and celebrating each goal in rather exuberant fashion...

I think I'll be giving that a try very shortly. I suppose it can be something of a mixed blessing when a non-mainstream artist writes a 'breakthrough' song. On one hand, it's a path to success and fame and on the other, it's kind of an awkward position to be in because you don't really have the luxury of abandoning it if said success ends up dividing your audience. I've been to gigs where the crowd actually booed until 'the hit' was played, so it's not too much of a stretch to understand why an artist would want to disown one of their own songs.

I've been past such kinds of companies, they're huge, but amazing to look at ,and spend time there too.

I took some classes in IT,they're helpful,I like anything related to computers, but I usually don't have time to learn more, life is sooo busy.

I'm actually taking an evening class in web design at the moment, it's rather fascinating stuff. Still early days of course, but I think I'd quite like to pursue it further in the future. We'll see how it goes.

I always remain silent towards the name of my country,my city, and my original language,I can only say that I live in a city by the Mediterranean Sea,beautiful city, beautiful beaches, good living sources for most people, consist of big families, mostly rich families,so we live good life ,good transport system,we have international airport .just ordinary details that exist in many cities around the world. Many members think I'm Italian or Spanish,I do have lots of Spanish features, but not the nationality. Some members who don't know me send me PMs asking for some Italian sites featuring their beloved celebrities,I remain silent and don't confirm it.Hope I didn't upset you by this answer.

Not at all, if there’s information you prefer not to part with, I completely understand. Sorry if the question made you in any way uncomfortable, it certainly wasn't what I was going for.

But it sounds lovely, wherever it is.

Aw, thanks Jennka! Joe's going to take me for a spin in the DeLorean later, you're welcome to join us.

I think I might buy myself a Grey's Sports Almanac in the future and then place a few bets when I get home. My memory's not what it once was, but I'm fairly certain that it worked out great in the movie.

One thing that indicates that time travels are yet not possible for sure is people losing in bets though the paradoxes of time travel never cease to amaze me

I´m a bit tired after this weekend - fl celebrated his birthday and it was indeed exhausting. I cannot even think straight, so if I write nonsense, please forgive me my head is like a big empty bubble

Not to worry, that’s pretty much how I feel every day.

That kind of thing's always been quite fascinating to me too, I decided recently that time travel into the past probably isn't possible, because I'd imagine someone would have already come back if it were. But according to Stephen Hawking, it could be possible to travel into the future if you could build up enough speed. I’m kind of skeptical, but I'm not about to start an argument with The Hawk.

I was just watching this recently, thought you might appreciate it... no smegging flapjacks!

The concept gave me a brief 'The Mighty Boosh' flashback too...

Have you by any chance had the misfortune of seeing the current trend of perverting Indie music ? Well, for a better example anyway, there's a disturbing trend going on over here right now whereby if a slim teenage girl either whispers with a guitar or badly mimics a singer from another country that most people over here don't know, she gets praised as being 'so original' or 'so unique.' Its becoming somewhat painful to look at. Of course, having endurd the death of R&B already, I'm sure I can endure seeing as how Indie music itself is still alive despite this inconvenience at least .
