So now Michael, and I know you care for football, what do you feel after Beckham's declaration of retiring,is it the right time or a bit late?
I've always followed him and liked his free kicks,he was king of these kinds of kicks infact, but I lost part of interest in him from some time ago, especially since his movement to play in USA,don't know why but he stopped to fascinate me as player, but not as handsome man tbh.![]()

When I was at school, all we got was a bloke wearing checky trousers and a backwards baseball cap telling us not to take drugs. I suppose he must have done something right because I never did, but still, I'd have much preferred a dog in a trenchcoat playing the piano. ![]()

As for the time travel - have you seen the MIB 3? It was quite nice, I enjoyed the movie immensely, but they really had some issues with the time travel that could not logically "click" into each other. One has to be veery cautious when it goes to time travel - there are way too many paradoxes not to be overseen.
Oh, and no one is to start an argument with such a brilliant mind!
I´ve read a book, it was called Black Hole, from John Taylor I think, and aside from the very informative content about black holes and universe generally (fascinating stuff) he was also hypothetically speaking about time travel via black holes and alternatively entering the parallel universes via black holes. Oh, and there is also another book - from Mr.Smolin, called The Life of Cosmos where he speaks about his multiverse theory which I NEED to have
it generally says that our universe, just like the whole life around us, is undergoing the same evolutionary path as every living organism. Fascinating, isn´t it? Mr. Dawkins is quite fond of this theory (although many scientists despise it, but I think that´s just the natural way every theory goes through) and I too really like the idea of it.
I was so disappointed by the second Men In Black movie that I avoided seeing the third one on the big screen, but I watched it on TV recently and quite enjoyed it. There was a little too much Will and not enough Tommy, but in general I was pleasantly surprised. ![]()
It really is fascinating stuff, if a little bewildering at times for the beginner (i.e. me
). I'm reading a book at the moment called 'Why Does E=MC2 (And Why Should We Care?)' by professors Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw. I was doing fine for about the first 150 pages, but the second half of the book has such a heavy emphasis on technical diagrams and equations, with some pretty intense demands on the reader's memory and mathematics. Thus, quite a lot of it is starting to fly over my head. So of course I'm very intrigued but at the same time, the most amateur of amateurs in terms of actual knowledge on the subject. ![]()

I’m a bit surprised he didn’t choose to play longer, really. In these times of finely-tuned athletes, nutrition experts and fitness coaching, more and more players are playing well into their late 30s, and from what I understand he had an offer of another year with PSG on the table. In general, I’ve a lot of time for David Beckham; though he was never blessed with the extravagant technique of a Messi or the speed and raw athleticism of a Ronaldo, his success on the pitch was a great advert for spirit, dedication and hard work over natural gifts. Will I remember him as one of the true all-time greats? Probably not. As one of the best of his generation? Without a doubt. The sheer volume of goals and general chaos his crossing provided from that right wing was absolutely incredible. ![]()
I actually have an autograph of his from (showing my age here I know) a game I went to as a kid in the 90s, when he was starting out at Man United. I distinctly remember him being the only member of their squad to sign any autographs at all that day, and even though he's since become one of those much-maligned and inescapable celebrity figures, I really don't get the impression that he's been overly affected by it.

Well, in case you didn't have Smokey the Bear, hopefully that bloke taught you to prevent forest fires as well
.

^^ So he fascinates you too as player,I used to watch nearly all his matches,he has a great way of kicking and delivering the ball to other players or to the goal itself. He could make a free kick seems as a penalty,And yes,his position on the pitch wasn't that of Ronaldo or Messi, but he was king of the pitch centre area. I never saw him as so full of himself man,but new to know that he's humble. That's why he kept his public image clean and pure, sometimes I look at him and see him as big cute kid. You're right in the advantages that players get these days, but it's always great to stop in the right time,he may have more to give, but finds it is right now to stop when he's so fit and good instead of waiting. He's not that old [38],but for a football player, maybe a bit old.Anyway, does he plan for continuing work in football field,or he would keep only fashion work on,who knows? ANd hey you, you're not old-late 20s-early 30s,you're a young man, guy.

I always liked Smokey the Bear, he struck me as being pretty fashion conscious with his jeans and gold belt buckle. ![]()
In terms of his purpose though, I find the best way to prevent forest fires is just not going in forests. ![]()

Thanks for calling me young, Mahi, you're too kind!

I could imagine Beckham doing a spot of coaching here and there, and probably combining it with his interests in the fashion business and ambassadorial duties for the English FA. The less he plays football, the more we'll probably be seeing of him.
Not sure about management though, he doesn't really strike me as being quite assertive or ruthless enough for that game. Did you know David's son Brooklyn currently has aspirations of following in his dad's footsteps? He joined the Queens Park Rangers youth academy just last week. ![]()

That's true, but I just can't help it
. Are you by any chance a Fringe fan? I never really watched it in order and haven't seen past S3, but I've always loved it.

^^You're welcome,Michael.
Mmmm, you're feeling old?. Mum always tells me that she never felt her age as she always feels young inside,no matter what age she reached, she never felt it,I also can get her feelings when looking at her,she never ages and she acts and live as if she's still in her 20s,wise woman yes. but has the spirit of a young girl.
Yeah,I heard about Brooklyn,it was all over the news the past days, this young boy has always spent times with his dad on the green pitch, right? he would definiltely find it easy to go along this road, besides talent that any player needs,he would have access to many things and would have his father experience to go ahead and deal with fame and lights, many famous guys in sports and similar fields fail to continue and fail to keep their image clean because of the lack of experience.
Here are sweet moments of the Beckhams from David's final match with Sain Germain in France,,take a look at Harper, she's looks interested in the game in one of the pics.

And pics of David on that remarkable day
Also as we expected before,he's indulging himself now in fashion business,
Life after football... David Beckham gets back to his day job as he signs H&M pants in Paris
He stunned fans earlier this month when he announced his retirement from professional football.
But now that David Beckham no longer has any sporting commitments, he can at least use his time fulfilling his other roles.
The 38-year-old sportsman got back to his day job in Paris, France, on Friday [May24,2013], signing items from his Bodywear collection at the H&M store in the capital

Always loved Fringe. You'd probably be better off watching any subsequent episodes in order if at all possible though; if memory serves me, Season 3 was right around about the time it started to move into 'heaven for the die hard but impenetrable for the casual viewer' territory. But generally speaking, I'll remember it fondly. It was always gripping and wildly creative, and had a proper conclusion with pretty much every loose end tied up, which is becoming a bit of a rare thing these days. ![]()

I don't really feel it either, at least not often. I think it's possible for people to stay younger for longer these days, if that makes any sense whatsoever. In my experience, the average 30 year old is just as daft as the average 20 year old anyway. ![]()

That reminds me, did you see the recent YouTube vid of the boys joining in with a PSG training session? Imagine if you were a kid and your Dad said "Hey, fancy a kickabout with Zlatan and Silva?" ![]()

Great topic. ![]()
I'd like to nominate Barry Kripke from 'The Big Bang Theory' and Ashley from 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'. She was never that funny and always struggled to carry a storyline on her own. I suspect a lot of people would probably vote for Lisa Simpson too, but I think somewhere along the line, the writers started to use her determination to have her beliefs noticed as a joke, which in turn made the character rather a lot funnier.

I'm not that familiar with BBT although Ashley was definitely quite unfunny
. Great point about Lisa too. It seems like that angle did make her funny in a strange way, not to mention her singing voice
. I would probably throw in the son from Family Guy even though I'm not sure if Family guy is the same caliber of the other shows mentioned
.

Family Guy's a bit of an odd one for me. I had about a six month period of thinking it was the business, but after that I kind of lost interest, stopped watching and never went back. Not altogether sure why.
I tend to agree on Chris being one of the least funny characters in it though. Meg is probably the least popular, but I suppose that's more by design. She only really exists so the others have someone to make fun of.

^^^^What a dreamy session it would be. You know that I play football a lot, especially these days[i'm on a little work break],I play it daily, not professionaly but as so beloved hobby[lots of sweat and running are perfect for my body]. I can dream now of having Silva playing with me,I'd like to have Ronaldo and Messy too[too imaginative, right?].Did you read that Beckham said before that his sons can get everything they want without doing anything, but they love to work hard and don't like to depend or rely on him only.
How does this list stand up today? <_<
It's too hard for me to put them in order but this is my ten
