Looks like a mixture of Dark Souls and the classic ninja game from circa 2000, Tenchu

Design of the game's setting was based on various elements of 1960s British culture, with Compulsion Games seeking inspiration on dystopian societies from various influences in the media, such as Brazil, Nineteen Eighty-Four, and Brave New World.

it covers various topics in the viewpoint of evolutionary psychology - why female is in fact the stronger sex and why is male the expendable sex, female beauty, the significance of human body symmetry, flirting, love, sex, attachment (childhood -> relationships), male-female brain differences, the role of natality order, jealousy, infidelity, male-female friendship, psychological infertility etc. it's full of citations and dry humor. there are two sequels: "life of the woman" and "decline and fall of the man".
the author is a native fave of mine, he's an iteresting and unique personality. graduated with an msc in computer science, but began to work as a bookbinder and later as a dramaturgist. the he earned a psychology ma degree, and worked for the institute of behavioral sciences of the budapest medical school. he was fired from there because of his first book titled "depression industry". in that book he threw stones at psychiatry for leaving psychotherapies and preferring biological treatments (pills). he accused psychiatry for hiring in as a servant of the pharmaceutical industry, and cited findigs which conclude that antidepressants are symptomatic treatment at best, but mostly inefficient and noxious.
since his firing, he became a freelance author and wrote several books on various psychological topics. his field of interest is velolutional psychology, and became famous / notorious as a hars critic of the shady practices and shenanigans of (medical) science research. he also works as a psychotherapist.

looks amazing! Way better than Doom reboot.
Red Dead looks like it be a very good game.
It does look pretty good. The technical progresses are truly amazing!

Cyberpunk! Looks really good, like being the cyborgs from Ghost in a Shell

Yeah it looks great! It also looks like I'll have to update my rig if I want to play it well.

It's really outstanding!! I like the world-building and the enormous details. The design aspects are 1980s-early 1990s ish. I still remember those cars with wooden interiors, the cigarette lighters and ashtrays.
Other influences: Robocop

Wow, that's really impressive! It looks amazing and it's definitely my type of games. The gameplay looks complex and very wide. The voice guy really sells it well in the video. I'm looking forward to playing this game when it's released (2019 apparently).

I love how it reminds me of robocop/ghost in the shell/blade runner

The theme of "Man's Search for Meaning" is about creating meaning in whatever circumstances you are in. In this case, he focuses on extreme suffering- i the Jews in the death camps and their lives postwar.
i definitely don't agree with Peterson's christian conservative POV. A lifestyle with novelty, close relationships, and a variety "Flow" activities is the key to happiness.

It doesn't seem like there is an english translation. It seems to me that there's no real "master text" on this. Various psychologists, scientists, and dating coaches have material that illuminate elements of gender behavior and it's necessary to screen a lot of material for insights. Another interesting one is "For men only"
Good for you in making an effort to learn this material. I believe that the overwhelming majority of people are too intimidated to confront their inner life and fear hurting themselves- they prefer the fiction of conventional wisdom and the safe feeling of a societal script to follow. However, this is dangerously stupid in 2018.
I believe that if this knowledge was taught in public schools it would fundamentally shift male/female relations, self esteem and lifestyle planning for the better and significantly lower the divorce and personal loss. It would make life decisions and interactions far more honest and healthy. I look at my own family and their happiness is at B and C grade and their relationships definitely did not hit their expectations.

fwiw, he sees himself as a liberal (but in the classical xix. century sense).
i find his idea that all conflicts in societies can be abolished utterly naive and utopistic. (utopies are the way of the left.)

In the USA a classical liberal is a conservative. Peterson reminds me of the Christian self-help.....
With jungian psyc it moved me towards examining "story science" as I do sales and I have been interested in doing creative work involving my interest in WW2 and it helps massively in understanding why movies/tv shows are effective or ineffective in moving people. I read Mcknee's "Story" and listened to the audio for "Wired for Story". It's enlightening and has improved my understanding on what makes people tick with stories. I also have "anatomy of story" (which I recently started and is very good) and "building character arcs" (along with the workbook).
I also have a 12 hour NYU seminar on "story science".

about Frankl's book- an iconic discussion is about the impact flower growing on a barbed-wire fence. (the publisher changed it to a bird). It reminds me of a scene from silence of the lambs: 0:36. I wonder if the screenplay writers/author was familiar with this. When the prospects of survival were low, prisoners that survived the longest sought to make meaning out of their suffering, and to do what they could to survive as long as possible and thus with dignity. Their eventual death was immaterial; they sought a "good death".
The seeking and the granting of the "beautiful death" from the Last Samurai:

I agree, that's the danger of romanticism.... what's worse is to organize one's life around romanticism. We've all done it and suffered the consequences.
about Peterson I wrote this in 6/27/2018 in the Political correctness thread:
QuoteWith the bolded, I thought something similar- the right wing needs more people of that type as he knows how to communicate effectively and in a rational manner.
I've listened to a couple of hours of his "best of" clips on youtube last year. I remember agreeing with about 50% of the things he said. He is strongest when he talks about Jungian psychology and also psychological knowledge that is politically incorrect but true. However, he has a lot of half-baked and wrong opinions (largely formed from his right wing prejudices) once he strays from his expertise, psychology.
Another fatal conceit is that he fashions himself as a self help guru- but his message is very similar to that of the naive and ignorant Christian mold, lifestyle& mentality (such as Dr. Henry Cloud) of individual responsibility and relationships. However, we are in a post-industrial, global economy in the 21st century, not in the dynamics of a pre-industrial religion. He is basically a traditional, Christian conservative that uses science to mask his message with effective rhetoric.
His Anti-SJW stance is largely correct but since he is so anti-establishment that he offers little that is constructive for social problems.
So when he's good he's very good and when he's bad, he's terrible.
I'm definitely not "anti-christian" as like most ideologies there is some truth in their teachings. Anything that lasted this long has it.
