Well but O.J. is well, O.J. now I chekced if Mike Tyson was sent to prison for rape and indeed he was. Which other celeb was? I guess none, at least not a white one. I'm afraid this kind of crimes happened more often. I don't know if you've ever came upon the rumour that Natalia Wood was raped, allegedly by Kirk Douglas. From what I remember, her sister confessed that she'll reveal who that was after the abuser dies. Would that change anything now, though? And coming back to that thing with 'what celebs taught me' list, it is sad to note that nothing really changed when it comes to stage parents, because Hollywood legends also had them.

As for the legs, I guess I don't have favourites... I'd have to think about it but I usually 'qualigy' models' legs as good or 'ewww, so crooked and have awful big thigh gap, eww eww'
Off the top of my head, I always thought Gisele, Naomi and many others were pretty strong in the leg department although there's a lot of fashion models with nice legs though so I'd have to think on it.

I missed those. I always thought that Monica looked inhumanly perfect on the runway for some reason. (even better than most other girls) Very tall, very good skin and symmetrical features (until she smiles..) Like an android. But her smile is kind of gap toothed, and understandably she rarely smiles in photos...
Valentina's a bit like that, but less 'android' like and with little emotion or expression as well...And her smile isn't bad at all !
Her Ralph lauren photos are well done (and heavily airbrushed) and she always looks like a mannequin in them.

Yes, she looks younger than she is... but not quite like Barbara Palvin. Barbara's commercial for Intimissimi is played here pretty often and I don't think she was the right choice. She's pretty, but it feels like looking at 16-year-old Facebook girls who take 'sexy pics' of themselves, bending their backs and lollipops in their mouths.
I don't think she does the same face all the time but indeed, I don't think that any of her photoshoots truly stand out. Yet I'm not complaining, I think she's just so breathtakingly beautiful. I could stare at her Chanel make-up video a whole day. I guess the same could be said about Valentina Z but Valya is just

Monika's gap tooth isn't THAT bad, when compared to Lindsey or Lara. I prefer her in photoshoots.
I also don't like what Magda is wearing but I don't like her personal style too much, it seems odd. People commented on that outfit in one of the most popular gossip websites very negatively, and I have to agree. She looks coked out of her mind. The lack of make-up and doing ANYTHING with her hair also doesn't help. Yuck.
Good point about Ms. Turner although ironically she has the dancer type legs I spoke of .

I was also curious what you thought about the Terry Richardson debate. It seems to me the debate is whether he's a pervert or not whereas I'm not even sure what I think of his work just at face value . It seems at least interesting by commercial standards though, but maybe I'm just not a big fan of the template and bright lights I suppose .

As for Terry, obviously he's not the best photographer, but I like his works. Not all of them... those Purple photoshoots, like the one with Magda, Abbey, Eniko and Freja and Tom Ford perfume ads are too much for me. And you know that ongoing joke about his photography, right?
Then again, there are photographers who seem to use similar methods yet their work come out much worse. See Tyler Shields. Or ones whose light settings seem off to make it ~artistic~ I'm happy for Maciek Kobielski but I feel that if I ever get to see one of his photoshoots with fashion models, they are just sitting in a not-so-fancy kitchen with no make-up on. I feel similarly about Juergen Teller works. Yet with weird light settings Richardson uses it doesn't feel so weird. What makes his photos stand out, to me at least, id that I feel people he photographs genuinely enjoy working with him and have a good time while doing so. Then again, you have no-name models, and just a few popular ones (Coco Rocha, Rie Rasmussen) who call him out on his antics. If you look at some of his photoshoots... well, it would be crazy to NOT expect him to be a pervert. What can I say, this business will always protect 'their' people. I like his works for Vogue Paris but he had also done photoshoots I'm disturbed with.
As to the video, I'm likewise not much for explaining jokes but thanks for trying .
LOL @ the Richardson process. That is a good point that some fail with the same template and that some seem to be having a good time with him. Now that I think about it, I would probably prefer him more behind the scenes in some although there are others that I think were enhanced by him being there because he made the scene fun. On the same token Terentino is one of my favorite directors and some of my least favorite scenes from his movies are the ones where he's in it . On the other hand, the much hated (not by me, although I concur with many criticisms) Bay had a funny cameo in one movie, but it was only for a few seconds. When I think about most of my favorite people in fashion that I haven't seen in real life in terms of photographers, designers, makeup artists ect. I probably haven't actually seen most of them . That's probably in part by design as I probably in part eschew learning too much about celebrities that I don't have to know about.

I'm always suspicious of books 'written' by celebrities and politicians. I suspect that they are merely ghostwritten by a hired hand and then edited by the bigwig in question as a form of promotional material or legacy making. I have a few of them but I found their contents to be mere fluff and badly biased. They aren't useless though but one has to comb through them carefully.
I have Alan Greenspan and Robert Rubin's memoirs that cover the Clinton/Bush years. Their triumphant policymaking narrative in both books is now ruined by contemporary events that prove that they were both in way over their head.

I think I might check them out . I think she's becoming a secret celeb crush of mine. At least there's a lot more good looking women than there are funny women and the fact that she is at least decent in looks probably makes her more rare than most celebs .
You find her good-looking? That's strange, in a way that most people find her gross. Some people don't believe she's 38 but I guess partying hard made her look a bit older. Sometimes she looks bad, and when she has heavy eye make-up on she reminds me of Kendra Wilkinson but most of the time I like her looks, that she doesn't have heavy make-up on and I like when her hairstylist styles her hair in braids.
I wouldn't call her particularly good looking in the sense that someone would do a double take. By the standard of female comedians though (Roseanne, Rosie, Whoopy...) she's above average by that standard anyway. Most people would probably consider Kendra much better looking even despite her annoying laugh . I was curious as to your off the cuff feelings about the models with the most views. That is just the first thing that comes to your mind about how you feel and what you think about them in general.

btw Joe, I remember you once mentioned a friend who values blond hair so much she said she'd take a very ugly blonde over a girl with any other hair colour... do you feel like it's the same for guys and their liking for long-haired girls? Some girls have really awful hair-it looks like it needs cutting; if they are wearing a braid you can really see hair gets thinner of 50% or more in the middle... yet it seems to me both girls and boys think damaged long hair>>>healthy looking short(er) hair (can be even just above shoulders, I'm not even talking about pixie-cuts).
LOL @ the Rosie and Karolina thing although I agree . Great assessments on all though although with the acting career, I never expected much in that area. I mean, to my knowledge she just hopped on a train (Transformers) that was already mega successful. Interesting question about the hair, although of course, the friend is a he instead of a she. I could probably say that mid range and long hair are definitively the more favored for women although I'm still not sure whether its comparable to the blonde craze (*instantly substitutes the word 'craze' for 'fetish' out of respect for Layla ). Take this same guy for example, he loves long hair as well, but he wouldn't take even a 7/10 with long hair over a 9/10 with short hair. Beauty, bosom, bottom, brains, abs, legs ect. seem to beat out long hair regularly whereas blondness can never be counted out to beat out all of those with some people. With me, I love long hair, but that's nice long hair. I'd take nice short hair over hippie hair any day .
