Aw, sorry about confusing your friend for a girl but for some reason I thought it was a girl, as talking about what features she finds attractive/would like to have.

Aw, thanks Joe I forgot to reply to your post right after I read it... and it was soon after I read an article about fetishes dear God, some of the things I read there... for example, a guy who had a fetish for mutilated women and he was looking for them in amputation wards in hospitals I mean... I knew about feet fetishers and their preferences for feet but that was nothing compared to examples given in that magazine. Ewww ew eww.

Yes I also don't get obsession with extensions, because most of them look really fake and ratty. Maybe some girls are opposed to cutting hair because they feel they would lose all the attractiveness? Notice that not every woman can rock short hair. It's like the ultimate test if a face is attractive or not mine is average I guess, or maybe I just prefer when I have at least shoulder-length hair. My ultimate goal is to have the same length of hair as Brooke Shields did in "Blue Lagoon" but I don't know if it's ever going to happen the longest I've had were reaching my underarms (sounds strange as I type it but I have no idea how else to describe it) but then they were getting split ends obviously and had to have them cut a bit. I also noticed I can't have all my hair the same length; it looks much better when the ones closer to my face are shorter-not bangs, but cut at the middle of my neck (again sounds strange but I guess you know what I mean).

Haha see, I can write more than 2 lines about such banal things as hair.

Anyway, sorry for neglecting this thread but I guess that again, I have this 'no need to visit BZ' mood my interest in what brought me to this forum (modelling) is declining with each month and some of my favourite members don't post here too often as well.

No need to apologize to me for either. For the member and fashion thing, my interest in fashion is the same although there are currently less members than ever that I relate to in any capacity and I rarely even see conversations that I even feel tempted to jump into, so I'm here mainly for my job now . I get automatic emails for reports and such, check around for questionable activity ect. and if anything else happens good and if not, that's fine too. Due to my studies in criminal psychology among other things, unfortunately I can't say that I share your shock about the fetishes. Hopefully desensitization doesn't make me crazy too . As to the gender, I just said 'a friend' originally so no problem . With the long hippie hair, I meant long, dry, dirty hair rather than extensions though. To the armpits is interesting phrasing indeed especially since women don't generally mention their armpits . I think most call it 'midrange' length? Same idea anyway. Short hair is definitely a test and being bald or really closely cut is the ultimate test. There are some women I actually prefer with short hair although I'm not sure whether its a familiarity thing or not.

Layla, hair is definitely not a banal thing to talk about!!!. I have thick, straight-wavy black hair that gets very voluminous and heavy in humidity and the summer. It's actually rather annoying as the top of my hairstyle actually tends to get too 'flat', and while my sides get too thick/straight. It's a bit of dilemma, as product like moose gives the top good sheen but weighs it down within an hour. But if I don't use product, my hair has a dry and limp appearance.

In the dry winter, I don't face these problems.

----------------------

I can see the point of using extensions in modeling jobs but not something for the day to day.

-------------------------

That's too bad, Joe and Layla. I feel the same way sometimes, actually.

As far as BZ interactivity goes, there's not enough forum manners, posting quality, and friendliness in some areas. Too many posters seem to be using the forum as a place to rant or kill time meaninglessly rather than share and exchange.

I have the exact same style!

Just by making it a bit shorter around your face it's like your hair has lots of volume

Yes! Some girls can work 'every hair same length' look but it mostly works for girls with straight bobs, I think. Or when there are Versace shows from a few years ago, like f/w 2006 season... obviously the models had extensions and models are well, models but I liked that hairstyle on them.

Criminal psychology? Didn't know, that's very interesting (Y)

Ugh again, I read 'long nipple hair', this is another time when I misread a word for 'nipple(s)' (see Michael's thread) ah what is wrong with me?!?!

I have a friend who looks much better with short hair. She never had long hair to begin with, not even reaching her arms but with short haircuts... she's just so good and her smile is gorgeous so she looks great.

I guess it may be about hair' conditions. Some people think long hair makes them look younger which is not always true. Same with dying hair lighter shades.

Wow I had no idea you have black hair?!? I thought it's dark ashy blond or something similar. I don't like how the top of my hairstyle gets too flat after 2 days but the rest of hair looks ok. So I have to wash it every 2 days instead of 3 (unless I'm just too lazy or know I have nothing important to do on the third day so I stuck myself with greasy-ish hair eww haha)

Yes, extensions are good to use once in a blue moon I guess but for everyday... what's the point? It damages your natural hair as well.

So you're not energized by Fashion week? I certainly am; so much awesomeness in the new shows and my interest has certainly lifted.

Why did you think that I was a blonde? My hair is straight with a touch of wavyness and is extra thick like Hilary Rhoda's. Our texture is similar. My stylist remarks that cutting my hair with scissors is like 'cutting iron', LOL. (Unfortunately, I can't think of a black-haired male celebrity at the moment that shares the same texture) I have a lot of natural volume but the volume converts into heavyness after a certain length. So I know it's time to meet my stylist once the top of head starts to flatten and my forehead starts to get smaller due to a growing 'bang'. My hair is styled like a generic male model- short sides 1 1/2, and short-medium length top with a natural frontal bang. Then I comb my hair backwords and towards the right and secure it with moose & hairspray when I need to. When I don't need to influence people, I don't even bother with product.

Due to the thickness of my hair, it tends to get ichy, get greasy, make 'hair' smell, or create dandruff very quickly so I need to wash it everyday. I could never wait 3 days to wash my hair; in fact 2 days is something I never do...! If I was a woman, I would certainly need to wash it everyday.

So your blonde hair should be rather fine and thin, right? Pillowy texture? I love blonde hair

This conversation about hair reminds me that I wanted to make a thread about models w/bangs vs. the same models w/o. Why do you think that models get bangs and which do you prefer? They seem to start out without bangs and then 'graduate' towards them.

For instance,I like Julia stegner, Karlie, and Freja a lot more without bangs but they choose to adopt this for most of their shoots now.

---------

Also, a question: What product do you use for your hair and how do you think that it damages/changes it?

I think that hairspray and moose tends to decrease some of my hair's natural volume in a noticeable but not significant way. Still, I have more volume than most brunettes and blondes.

Okay so I made it!!!!

Yes, definitely nothing wrong with the subject of hair ! Great points about extensions guys. They definitely take their toll. Interresting about the plight of the flat top as well.

I was surprised about the dark hair thing too. I thought of him as having dark brown hair with a little moose.

I did notice that you keep putting the word nipple where it isn't. Maybe that's why your father thinks you like Iga W. ? A lot of women do seem to think both long and blonde hair makes them look younger. I don't know if you have them over there or not, but on weight loss commercials, the majority of the women go blond for their 'after' pictures .

It's not that exactly... it's just not the way it used to be. Around 5 years ago I would come back home as fast as I can and watch the slideshows from a few fashion shows and see which models walked the runway and save my favourite photos. Now I can wait a few days, don't feel such excitement to be up-to-date with fashion.

Wow, that is probebly the longest I've read any man describe his own hair btw, are you pale?

Haha, you and your blonde hair love my hair gets wavy. Sometimes it's quite smooth but volumed? Don't know how to describe it. Other times it's like the endings are waved like zigzags, haha.

As for models and bangs-it really depends. I liked when Martha Streck had red hair with bangs. Now she's not really... striking. Freja looked good in bangs. So did Julia. Anne V needs to cover this big forehead so bangs suit her. I feel like quite a few models start out with bangs but as they get popular they stop having them and don't come back for having them. The ones who 'never' had bangs and then get them, it's usually for just a couple of months.

I only use shampoo and argan oil/some spray after washing my hair because it tends to tangle so it's difficult to brush them without the help of something extra. And a mask or leave-in conditioner once a week. Does it help? Yes, but I think diet is more important.

It was only two times! And whaaat? I don't think my dad knows who Iga W. is?!?

Yes, people do tend to think blonde makes them look younger... which obviously is not true in so many cases.

Hmm, didn't notice the hair things about 'after' pics but what is annoying about commercials for such products and before/after pics is that obviously in before pics they are crouching, don't smile, get their hair as flat as possible and in after they are always smiling, stand straight and have more volume in their hair.

I could have sworn you said, 'he thinks I actually like her  ' after you said she was on DWTS. Aside from general good memory, I also remember that because she's one of only two people you told me were on Poland's DWTS. When you told me Pudgidnodski was on there I thought my sides were going to explode though . Great point about the posture, smiling and hair volume too . Those acne commercials are really notorious for that since they not only look angry or like they just woke up in the first pic but also have makeup in the second pic .

You know, that's very cute thing to imagine.  To be so passionate as to feel the need to rush home.  Do you still save photos?  Any favorite models?

Nope, I'm not pale.  I am fair at the dead of winter, but never to the point that I can be called pale- thank goodness.  I tan just fine.

Your hair must be beautiful <3  One of the advantages of having real black hair is the fact that you can identify the fakes immediately.  It must be the same with you and blonde hair, right?

I like Martha Streck without red hair and I like Anne's forehead (somewhat).  Anne does look better her hair combed to the side rather than straight back, though.  And her hair is always so flat and styled without much volume.

I wish that Martha was more in demand, too..

Hair is just dead matter, how would diet help?  I personally don't think it does.

Not following anyone in particular lately... Anna J got engaged to fitness clubs owner millionaire so I guess she doesn't need to work too often now lately I just saved some photos from Haute Couture shows.

As for my hair colour, it gets lighter in summer but the right words to describe it is 'ashy blonde', I guess. http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/color/chart.html by these I'd say it's closest to medium ash blonde.

There are many factors concerned, yes. Everyone looks bad after not sleeping well there are some people who claim they don't use lots of hair products and have gorgeous hair and then there are other who use many products and yet their hair doesn't looks good.

What do you think of this polish model?  Do you happen to look a little like her?

You have very beautiful hair, Layla.

Overall, Edita's my #1 model ever.

This is my top models of all time:  It's funny, but I've caught myself muttering (inside my head) 'marriage material' for the first three and 'most beautiful woman in the world' while browsing.  Do you do that with any male celebrities or whatever?

1. Edita Vilkeviciute
Nimue Smit
Freja Beha Erichsen
Julia Stegner
Anne Vyalitsyna
Hilary Rhoda
Kendra Spears
Karlie Kloss
Flavia de Oliveira
Maryna Linchuk
AnaBeatriz Barros
Frida Gustavsson
Marloes Horst
Ginta Lapina
Valerie van der graff
Dionni Tabbers
17. Monika Jagaciak

One of the models I like a lot better with blonde hair is Kasia.  But she turned brunette and stayed that way...

Karlie was blonde for a moment in 2010.  Looks bad!

^ I'm not familiar with this model and no, I don't look like her

lmao @Karlie but then again, I don't know what Karlie should do with herself to make me find her pretty. I just... don't. There's something really annoying about her, I get the same feeling when I'm looking at Taylor Swift.

I like Kasia more as a brunette.

I don't do that thing with male celebrities... I feel like lately I do that with men on the streets ok, not really. But my types either changed or there are more handsome guys out there lately or rather, maybe I used to not look at guys in a way like "I'd go out with him if he asked me" and now I do. I don't know.

Who are your favorite male celebrities and what is 'handsome' to you?

Why don't you ask them?  Your hit ratio will be high, that's for certain...

Here are 3 things I've fallen for as of late..

I <3333  D& G 2012!!

I've been recollecting the Nimue Smit photos that I lost with my HD crash:

Chloe 2009/2010 was .....triumphant.  Very Marlene Dietrich, and it was very inspiring to see women dress like that.  I fell in love it on first sight:  I'll collect the runway galleries later...

Hey Layla, I thought you might be interested in this rather curious video I stumbled across. Basically, it's a random dude dressed in full Borussia Dortmund kit pretending to be Robert Lewandowski, in order to try and chat up girls. Despite his terrible accent and the ridiculous notion of wandering the streets in a shirt with 'Lewandowski' on the back, it kind of seems to work for him.

Page of 13
