Well, to be frank, who stalks around here? Half of the people here don't edit there about me, e.t.c. So what can they stalk? lol. Your icon.. ?IDK, the only reason I started making myself "private" was because I hated the fact people knew exactly where I was on BZ & that people could see when I was last on.
It's only really, newbies or people who haven't noticed this feature that don't use it. So, if they did I'm sure they'd want to be 'private' too.
The two sentences in bold are in stark conflict with each other.
The "invisible" option decreases transparency on the forum in general and does not serve any productive purpose.
For instance, Danni, the "red light" indicator is useful, because it signals to someone that's not invisible (me) that the other party is still online, so it encourages me to make a swift response. When I'm in conversation for instance- it useful for me to know that the other party is still on the thread (ie. 1 User(s) are reading this topic (0 Guests and 0 Anonymous Users)) rather than a bunch of invisible "anonymous users". The "anonymous users" actually kind of annoy me, because I can't tell if the other party is still there or it's someone else.

My Daddy lynch. My mama crazy. All my little half-brothers and sisters no kin to me. My children not my sister and brother. Pa not pa.
You must be sleep.
Yeah, don't think I didn't notice your literary pretensions in your signature!
In unrelated news, I notice Chanel is modelling the new Joe > Average lingerie collection:

The red light thing doesn't always work, when I see people posting that have viewed my profile, etc. There light has also been off. Yet there still posting. TBH, I don't think this really matters. No one has complained about not seeing who and when people visit them. I don't get the big deal about it.
If people want to show that there online they can, but some would rather view the forum with out people knowing they are on. Or they don't want to seem "nosy" by viewing profiles.

Get rid of the "Private/anonymous/invisible " feature.. or at least make visitors register on the "Last Visitors" box so that everybody (esp. invisible profile viewers) are accountable..
No

You're entitled to your views, Danni, as am I. I find the red light function and bottom of the thread 'sign on sheet' important for BZ browsing.
I for one find the "invisible" function annoying and just an aid for stalker-ish activities. It serves no useful function. I have complained, so here it is. ![]()

What will make BZ better is to ban a member, that is here for about 6 years now, who is spending his time bully the members who dare to say something wrong about the models he loves. I've reported him 3 or 4 times in the last few months and he was reported by many other members but at best his rude ans stupid posts are deleted but most of the times the reports are just ignored. I've learned to ignore him now but some members are not used to be insulted & a thread can easily turn into a 4 pages in a row of how much he is right and how the other ones are uncultivated morons.I don't know why Aranka was banned because I never had problems with her but she must have done many awful things too many members because she was a member since July 2010 and she is already banned. I am just wondering why a member can be banned in less than a year when another one is acting like a total ass since 6 years with impunity?
Warning: Italic paragraph is off-topic.
Really? I've been bullying people for 6 years because you and I had an argument yesterday? Who's the bully in this situation: the person who has been a helpful and contributing member of this forum for almost 6 years or the girl who launches campaigns to get useful members banned--all because they disagreed with her and her snarky attitude?
Anyway, I do actually have a few suggestions, even though they may be asking a bit too much:
1. Separate forums for content and for discussion. I realize that, especially this late in in the forum's life, this would be a monumental undertaking, but it really would be a massive improvement in the forum's function. Discussion is awesome--this is a forum after-all--but anyone who's been to the Bar Refaeli thread--for one--can likely tell you what a benefit a little separation would be. I'm not sure if the forum has this level of function, but even if posters could somehow mark their content posts to allow for filtering, that would be a huge step.
2. An enforcement of citing of sources. This might sound nitpicky at first, but nothing is more frustrating than seeing a new content post without any source information. The most important information tends to be photographer, medium (magazine, etc.), website (when applicable), and scanner (when applicable). Not only does it give credit to the creators of the content, but it allows other members to search for additional content that may have been neglected or overlooked. Again, this would be a huge project, and I realize Mods already have their work cut out for them, but hopefully some encouragement now would lead to better posting habits later.

I am not talking about you! I never knew u before we talked on Candice thread! I am talking about another member. U think i will complain about u because we disagree about Candice? Come one! We are not in the kinder garden!

I am not talking about you! I never knew before we talked on Candice thread! U are not the center of the world!
Edit: Meh, forget it.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
i beleive what you both may be trying to say is:
Kiki: "sorry if you misunderstood and thought i was referring to you"
and
bconk: "sorry that i assumed it was me you were talking about"
let's leave the petty bicvkering to the younger posters

No problem. And once again it's not because we are not agree on something that i think i have a problem with you.

oh you!
u are sounding like a daddy... :brows:
hey, i got plenty of practice as one, lol

instead of warnings 1 - 3 day bans
instead of warnings 1 - 3 day bans
than you would have to increase what is a banned offense i think.

I'm not going to even pretend I read all that, but Aranka's gone, I don't see the point in pissing on her grave. I thought she was annoying, but just a silly, insecure girl. Part of her crime was being a tool that didn't fit in here moreso than just being a tool. I've been able to get through to much worse just by reasoning in pms. The same mercy I used to keep her here as long as she did has kept the warnings of the people in this thread an average of 20% lower as well. As to this other person, I have no idea who that is and never heard of it. I thought Talisa wasn't going to make it at first, but she listened to me though sometimes I wonder if the sensitivity of the people just robbed me of some great material in that case
because she sure was funny
. There's no way we're getting rid of the anonymous function
.
thank god

From what I see, there's no reason to keep it, Joe. In fact, are there any broad reasons at all? Invisibility is usually held by moderators rather than regular posters... if at all. Invisibility's useless, it gets in the way of posting conversations, and it's just a way for posters to read & refresh profile comments & do stalker-ish things without accountability.
The "Last Visitor" box is there for a reason; It regulates behavior.
There's a bunch of weirdos running around the Candice thread that surely have tapped the "invisibility" magic.

As to this other person, I have no idea who that is and never heard of it.
That's the problem. He was reported few days ago and he was reported many times before. I don't want to say his name because it's not a dilation thread or a thread to settle up with members. I have posted here because apparently even with multiple reports no mods seems to think he is a problem? And I am right since u have no clue who he might be?
Anyway, this really caused already a misunderstanding so subject is closed I think?
Till he is searching for a new fight for no reason... or read this thread! ![]()

Hope Siniko will have his pop corn ready!

Is there some kind of issue validating members. I keep seeing members whos profiles are still validating after days of registering?
