! I feel so sorry for goalies sometimes 
. I guess because it seems if a regular player blows a defensive play he can score and all is forgotten but the goalie has to walk the walk of shame . Its even worse at least technically that what we in basketball call 'posterization' because as embarassing as it is, its only 2 points in an 80-100+ point game.
Still embarassing though .

I was always more of an Alex Ovechin person(I'm sure Limey is the only one who knows what I'm talking about right now). I've seen him at the all-star games and, not only is he a good player, but he seems to have a pretty beast personality. 
He's just too ugly.

Tim thomas has a style much like Hasek did, but Thomas is a lot more.. aggressive, as hasek was more spontaneous, well not even, hasek never really ran out to attack someone 
And Thomas did win a Vezina two years ago (he was dam good) But thanks again Toronto, you dumbasses trading Tukka Rask and now look, quality young goalie in Rask for years now. But nice on you for meeting him Nessy! I always wanted to talk to him about his style and what really inspired it and how he practices/ it came to be. I feel it would be an interesting discussion to say the least. Funny too, Toronto gave them Rask and now essentially gave them Tyler Seguin thanks to that stupid trade for Kessel with TWO first rounders 
@ Joe, i do know what you mean, playing hockey myself i have occasionally 
let my goalie down (or throw a player into him.. 
) And it is helpless. And in a game like hockey one goal can really change the game, not just on the scoreboard but in the crowd with momentum and etc..
@ Jude, way to start me on a hockey rant/ blab again He is a good OFFENSIVE player. His defense aside from his major hits is rather lack luster, same with cindy crosby. That said, i feel at times Ovi tries to do too much and runs his team the way he wants it too, which isn't right he has amazing talent around him. But his offensive skills are amazing, his shot is :shock: And who cares if he's ugly Hockey is not a beauty contest, if it was, how would good old Bobby Clarke be judged?
Well, it's obvious that he is not a very good defensive player beside getting into fights all the time and slamming people here and there, but so are most players who are flat out amazing at being offensive. It balances everything out. And it's fun to watch them just slam each other into walls. 
Oh, and, I'm pretty sure Bobby Clarke wins.

ha. he's alright. ive only ever met one goodlooking hockey player and he sucked at it and was only 18 and the back-up defence.
There was one other, but he got a hockey puck hit into his mouth and he lost the four front teeth 
so yeh...
its a dangerous sport. it's like boxing, there is only like one or 2 actual goodlooking boxers without beat-up faces.
Back-up defense nessy? That's the funniest hockey related thing i've heard in days (Okay not really, the Kovalchuck deal getting rejected was actually )
There is no "backup" unless a player is on the roster and not physically playing, then ya okay he's backup other then that it's 1st 2nd or 3rd line defense. And no nessy, Jude was referring to Ovechkin as ugly Not Tim Thomas.
Hockey can be dangerous but, it's hella worth it

anyways...i love hockey too. i got it from my dad, he worships the New Jersey Devils. and ive inherited some of his old shirts. i love the Almighty Ducks, they have the best logo.

The "Almighty Ducks" are no longer a team. There name was shortened to just the "Anaheim Ducks" quite some time ago. Also, I believe Tim Thomas was a actually a very good goalie. If I remember correctly, I think he was one of the players to represent the Boston Bruins in the all-star a couple of years ago. As fot his year, I am not sure, I wasn't able to watch it, but I wish I was. <_<
