Okay, Layla I'll try to watch Episode 2 when I get home tonight .

And yeah, something about that third pic .

Great vids Limer . I'm starting to understand more and more why you don't like Crosby .

Hey, donbot I notice you seem to be really technologically inclined, how is it you don't make gifs ? I only thought of that because a machine gun kitty gif is right up my alley :morning: .

I don't know why, Joe, but, you struck me as someone who would appreciate this. It's an entire comedic musical based on Harry Potter written and performed by some college kids somewhere in Michigan, I wanna say. Even if it's not for you, there's gotta be someone on here who likes it.

Joe - this is my lovesong to Ariesdior! She's always such fun, and I miss her not being around so much... I'd forgotten how fond I was of her charm and tact until I saw her again today on Rosie's thread. Awww - hearts

I'm dusting of my velvet jacket and sparking up a cigarette right now.

I think the sound really sells that clip though

I'm not really a fan of animated GIFs in general.. although I've seen some cool ones around here. I prefer the beauty of still images

Thank you

No reply, huh? Ok, I think I'll adapt the same procedure as most of the members here. "Thanks" posts, here we come. My total posts as of now is 923, let's see what it is tomorrow.

Certainly wouldn't be opposed to seeing a thanks button here but I'm not sure what you feel you're missing out on by not having thousands of posts to your name. Members don't enjoy any kind of superiority by virtue of having higher post counts. The ratings and stars are for show, we're all equals here.

Great post .

I feel like I'm on the Blizzard forums, waiting forever for the Blues to post...

Come on...at least tell us if you've read the thread!

Sorry guys, when I saw this thread I was so busy thinking about how to fix my epic failure of the last one I shyed away from clicking on . But I can say that Maddog is going to switch the IP or something and make general updates . I'm honestly at a loss in technical oriented things . Aside from Word and Excel .

A thanks system would be a big help to this forum. Members are now rated on the number of posts they make, which means that we've got a lot of members who will make 12 posts to post 24 pictures, or members that just lurk around saying "thanks", or "fantastic", or such as that. I mean, we've got members with tens of thousands of posts who just say "beautiful", or "I don't like her hair color", or such. Then there's members that post thousands of hard-found pictures. That's not fair. I could double my status here just by saying "thanks" all night. That doesn't make me a valuable member. This really needs to be addressed. We should be rated as a valuable contributor to the forum, not as to how many "thanks, fantastic" or individual (at one time) picture posts we make. Very, very unfair.

This, of course, could be solved by a thanks button. Fellow members would thank a valuable post, and add to the member's reputation. "Thanks" posts would be forbidden, you wouldn't get the credit for that...the poster of the pictures would get the credit, as it should be. That's only fair. Leave it up to the fellow members to decide what was a valuable contribution, or not. Members shouldn't be given seniority just for saying "thanks", without being productive members themselves.

Post counts don't mean much on here, in fact, no one thinks because you post more you're most important, because most people on BZ couldn't care about post counts on a serious level.

The thing about it is that most people on here don't really care about being rated on any level. I contribute once in a while, but I'm friendlier and much more communicative than some people who come on here post pics and leave. This forum is more about comradery and sharing, than it is about who does more or who posted more. Also the term "valuable member" is pretty subjective. I think LimerLight is an extremely valuable and all we do is make innuendos towards each other, Nothingless posts her amazing scans, Joe is a valuable member because he keeps the site in the best shape he can along with the other mods, and Pretty is a valuable member because she simply kicks-ass and speaks her mind as does Baron, and LMS for her gifs, etc. Whose to say who is 'ranked higher'?

A thanks system would be nice because contributors like to be appreciated but it isn't such a big deal to most of us because those who post pics get our thanks, and those who simply come on to converse are just as appreciated for their company.

Wow, nice one . And I wouldn't mind having the jacket myself .

Ok, point well taken. I guess I'm just a more competitive type of person, not that I think of this as a competition. I just feel that if there is any ranking system at all, (like there is, with the whore and fanatic, etc. type rankings), it should be done fairly. Of course, I don't think I'm any better than any one of the other members, being more competitive or social doesn't make you a better person. It's really just a question of productivity to me. Who is more of an asset to the site...those who say "thanks" a thousand times, or those who make 50 good picture posts?

There's actually a lot of work that goes into making a good post, and I just feel that a person should be given some recognition for their work rather than someone who just says "thanks". After all, this forum wouldn't exist without the picture posts. That's what makes this forum...the contributor's pictures. People don't come here to see the "thanks, she's beautiful" posts. They come here to see the pictures. Isn't that right? So who's more valuable to the forum, the picture posters, or the "thanks, amazing" posters? I would think it would be the picture posters. Doesn't that make sense?

So here's the down low. Personally, I'm not running for office, or anything, I understand none of this is a big deal. I just think that posters should get some sort of appreciation for their work, and having a thanks button is the most democratic way to do that. People who spend hours a day finding and posting photos for others to enjoy should get some recognition. If a soldier comes home from Iraq, who deserves the thanks..him, or the people that tell him "thanks"? No, the credit goes to the one that did the work.

I believe Joe brought this up already, but making two separate sections for the "Babe Polls" and the "Babe Competitions" would probably make things a lot easier.

and locking the old ones.

We don't need every poll brought up at once, just 'cause someone got really, really. really, really bored :voodoo:

I don't know what locking is, but if it means to close from voting and comenting, I'm definitely against that since to me the best part of a poll is having as many votes as possible and admittedly if I see an old one of mine where the score has taken an interresting turn I usually want to comment . But I think if they were separated (maybe one or the other in a separate portion in the overall subforum the way "People of Bellazon" is separate from General Discussion) then one wouldn't interfere with the other. The pollsters could pip or bump all they want and the competition voters could have all the competitions all on the same page at the top of their side without being bothered by the poll bumping.
