Jennka how much I like your set, particularly the avatar I was looking through Daria's thread yesterday and saved some Daria runway pictures from around 2005.
Same with chocolate. btw I'm eating chocolate with 'krówka' filling now. Ate 2/5 of in 10 minutes, gotta hide it, otherwise I'm gonna eat all of it...

Ha, that's a cute thought :=)

Where do you hide it? Is that effective?

I've been interested in nutrition and counting calories since I was 12 or so. I've pretty much realized that there's no hope in maintaining one's eating habits without blatant discipline. As in: I have not stocked my refrigerator with food other than : wheat mini-bagels (@ 110 kcal, 5 gram protein each), fruit, and chopped roasted chicken ( partitioned by yours truly and separated & stored into containers) in over 4 years. It is all store-bought.

this way, I never have to cook for myself and I never have to eat instant noodles (hate it!).

And I never buy pre-packaged food unless I'm outside and I crave a single-serving. Outdoors, I eat what I want for the most part. If people are coming over I stop by a supermarket first.

I just replaced chocolate with kiwi no but really, ate 1/5 of that chocolate in the evening so

I never count callories, I never really had to, to be honest... if I don't prepare food, I buy pork chops or pierogi or croquettes in delicatessen (? that's how some online dictionary translated the kind of shop I meant, don't know if it's correct.... I always thought delicatessen is more like a shop when you buy more expensive food, things not available in every shop etc.)

Yeah thats how you spell it. Its a term meaning "fine foods" - (Its a shop totally separate from the supermarket and like you said you find foods there that don't normally find in the supermarket). However if you really want to impress the Brits or any other nation for that matter you should refere to it as the "Deli" which is a nickname us Brits give it

That would knock us off our feet

Or do you just mean the section where you buy your meat and fish produce?

Haha no, I ended up with no apples actually I prepared baked bananas and drinks with bananas

Can anyone go wrong with pizza though? I mean, you have thin-crust, deep-dish, so many options... it seems impossible to find somebody who wouldn't like any kind of pizza, you know? Same with chocolate. btw I'm eating chocolate with 'krówka' filling now. Ate 2/5 of in 10 minutes, gotta hide it, otherwise I'm gonna eat all of it...

Yes, it's usually my mum... although during the week when we don't have that much time for preparing food we usually buy half-products or ready-made things no fast food though!

Do you like banana drinks with milk? My fl absolutely loves them I don´t, though... but baked bananas? That sounds nice. How is it made??

Lol, krowka, I have two in my table desk at work and some at home but I´m able to eat only one per month... it´s so sweet!!

I know many people who live like this too - don´t have time for cook do you have siblings?

Jennka how much I like your set, particularly the avatar I was looking through Daria's thread yesterday and saved some Daria runway pictures from around 2005.

It is precious, isn´t it? when I saw that picture I downloaded it right ahead and now I keep staring at my set with this "aww" expression on my face I seriously adore Daria. She is the adventurous soul, the muse, the artist.

Oh you meet soooooo many other travelers, its ridiculous! I mean i was traveling on my own but i was never alone if that makes sense. - Think the longest i was on my own in the 7 months was about two days. Trying to remember names is impossible A spent a few times with the locals of though. Which was always treat as you get to really experience their lifestyle

Of course if you wanted to have time to yourself you can

Were they all travelling in the style you did? Like for seven months or even more??

Any but frozen Whenever I cook a frozen pizza, I feel like I'm closing the oven door on my hopes and dreams.

lol, I can manage the frozen pizza easily It´s the worst option of course... but better than nothing

That's the first time you called me by my real name...

Was this texan a medical technician of some sort?

Their politics, culture, tax, legal, and regulatory infrastructure are polar opposites.

See, and I even wasn´t talking about you

no, he was more of a military man. a little bit radical maybe, dunno.

Seven months is considered a fairly lengthy time. Which made loads of people jealous Generally people traveled for 2-5 months on average i reckon. Saying that two of the girls that i went up the Volcano with have been traveling for 18 months now Although they spent like 5 months working on this island off Oz and 2 months in another place. But crazy eh?! They started off in Oz, then went to Asia and now are in Africa. Was so gutted i didn't go with them now - They are coming back in a month and can't wait to see them

And this other girl, who personally is my hero Been traveling for 10 months....went to Iran, Jordan, India, Sri Lanka, Asia and then flew to Oz with $400 in her back pocket and planed on living there for a while. She had nowhere to stay and no work. and within 3 weeks she had a apartment and a Job at the Hard Rock Cafe. How she did it is beyoned me but like that girl is wicked and i still keep in contact with her. So if i ever get to Oz, totally gonna look her up

Any but frozen Whenever I cook a frozen pizza, I feel like I'm closing the oven door on my hopes and dreams.

S'pose

Oh, very simply-you just cut bananas for smaller pieces, dip them in egg, then in flour, then in egg and flour again, and put on a frying pan or you mix an egg and flour together and just dip these banana pieces in and put them on a frying pan. Simple! So yeah, they are not baked as in the oven, but still

Yeah, almost as sweet as kajmak/kaymak!

It's like I have a flashback... I think we already discussed some of these food items in Limer's thread?

I don't

It so is! I read about her jail time in Africa

Sorry

Btw girls, just curious. How different is the languages Polish & Slovak. If you both speak to each other in your native language could you understand each other? Or is it totally different.

You can understand some words, but other words are totally different in meaning. For example, 'cerstvy chleb' (or chleba? Jennka, correct me if I'm wrong) in Slovak means 'fresh bread', while 'czerstwy chleb' (very similar spelling) in Polish means 'stale bread'.... for Polish people, Czech and Slovak language sound very funny, like diminutive words, but I am pretty sure that Jennka finds my language funny, although I don't know if it's for the same reason

His name was 'Andrew'?

I was wondering, because only 9% of so of the United States Armed forces are combat personnel. The rest are a huge variety of support staffs.

True military men have a very different perspective on the value and goals of life than civilians, or more appropriately, consumers :-D.

cuteness overload

..in Time Layla  I'm pretty sure that Anja Rubik counts calories. Even on her 'starve day' :-)!!

Delicatessen:

I never count callories too I´m not even interested in learning to do so - for me it seems a little bit crazy. Rather prefer modesty in eating and cooking

If I didn't count calories, I would be 30 pounds heavier than I am today. I don't really 'count them', though. I guessestimate. After a while, you can pretty much guess how many calories are in this or that. For instance, if I eat a plain bagel or a donut, I know that's around 300 calories. If I eat a banana, that's 100. If I eat a slice of cheesecake, that's 800 + 8oz. steak- 400+ Bag of chips- 200+

So over time, you kind of have an idea of what your daily needs are, and whether or not you should choose to exceed them. So my weight has barely fluctuated in years.

Calorie counting is pretty essential if you're concerned about athletic performance or body-building/body-shaping.
