Seven months is considered a fairly lengthy time. Which made loads of people jealous Generally people traveled for 2-5 months on average i reckon. Saying that two of the girls that i went up the Volcano with have been traveling for 18 months now Although they spent like 5 months working on this island off Oz and 2 months in another place. But crazy eh?! They started off in Oz, then went to Asia and now are in Africa. Was so gutted i didn't go with them now - They are coming back in a month and can't wait to see them

And this other girl, who personally is my hero Been traveling for 10 months....went to Iran, Jordan, India, Sri Lanka, Asia and then flew to Oz with $400 in her back pocket and planed on living there for a while. She had nowhere to stay and no work. and within 3 weeks she had a apartment and a Job at the Hard Rock Cafe. How she did it is beyoned me but like that girl is wicked and i still keep in contact with her. So if i ever get to Oz, totally gonna look her up

So many interesting people there - I simply adore these adventurous souls the more I do so as I am very home-connected - like, I love to travel and explore new things, but I sooo look forward to come back home. I so love my country home, lol it´s soo beautiful to leave it for too long

Oh, very simply-you just cut bananas for smaller pieces, dip them in egg, then in flour, then in egg and flour again, and put on a frying pan or you mix an egg and flour together and just dip these banana pieces in and put them on a frying pan. Simple! So yeah, they are not baked as in the oven, but still

Yeah, almost as sweet as kajmak/kaymak!

It's like I have a flashback... I think we already discussed some of these food items in Limer's thread?

I don't

It so is! I read about her jail time in Africa

Oh, it sounds great! Do they still taste sweet??

Yeah we did, I remember that krowka discussion we had

Wasn´t it funny at one side? she is such a strong personality woman, lol. I would love to spend some time with her in jail

Sorry

Btw girls, just curious. How different is the languages Polish & Slovak. If you both speak to each other in your native language could you understand each other? Or is it totally different.

You can understand some words, but other words are totally different in meaning. For example, 'cerstvy chleb' (or chleba? Jennka, correct me if I'm wrong) in Slovak means 'fresh bread', while 'czerstwy chleb' (very similar spelling) in Polish means 'stale bread'.... for Polish people, Czech and Slovak language sound very funny, like diminutive words, but I am pretty sure that Jennka finds my language funny, although I don't know if it's for the same reason

Loool yeah it´s the same but I think we mostly understand each other in our native languages. At least when I was speaking to Polish people, we could understand each other quite well, eventhough, as Layla said, some words have a really different meaning!

and it´s cerstvy chlieb or rather čerstvy chlieb, but people call it chleba or chleb (in Czech language it´s chléb)

His name was 'Andrew'?

I was wondering, because only 9% of so of the United States Armed forces are combat personnel. The rest are a huge variety of support staffs.

True military men have a very different perspective on the value and goals of life than civilians, or more appropriately, consumers :-D.

Yeah, Andrew just like you

what are support staffs?

Explain more!!

Yeah, traveling most certainly gives you a better appreciation of where you live for sure I also think we really shouldn't complain as much...its ridiculous I mean even though the third world countries have far less then us they are so much happier then us....and in some respects they are far more advanced then us

There is so much bullshit in the world. Just wish we would all be a little more upfront and honest with each other instead of hiding scared of what the consequences are <_< I find it very frustrating now.

Sorry

I know what you´re talking about. I´ve heard much about these things and read as well... I´ve traveled a little, mostly to the countries near my own, but I´ve seen poor people that gave us shelter (I mean, we are mostly looking like partisans when on vander, and we don´t smell like flowers after 3 days of vandering, and still!!) and fed us in their own houses... and everytime we needed something they would help us. On Myjava, where we have this cottage we´re reconstructing, we have neighbours who are not very wealthy, but they will always help, always bring us something from their garden, and everytime we come to them they actually made you have dinner with them even if you don´t want to they are so sincere and so kind, I like them really much. Their boys are a little bit different from regular boys I meet, I mean, they value things, have a heart at the right place and even going on vander with us recently They know hard work as well... not many young people know that now.

People get so upset even when having lots of money... mostly they just don´t know what they need, and money can´t buy you everything. And, ironically, those things people need are mostly for free... they just don´t realize it.

Yeah i thought as much, I just didn't want come across as ignorant

There´s no way you could come across as ignorant

Yes! Though the original version of this recipe, I think the bananas were supposed to be flaming-that is, pour vodka through them and put fire on, and then they'd supposedly be flaming? I don't remember. The effect didn't last long anyway

I don't know, I wouldn't like to spend time in jail, especially in a foreign country but I get what you mean. Then again, I was thinking a little bit about how these top models talk about their holidays, and it seems that quite a few of them like these non-luxuries travels. Ania Jagodzinska's (now ex) boyfriend said she's the most adventorous and enthusiastic person he's ever known, and that they went to safari for 2 weeks? Soemthing like that, but they definitely didn't stay in a 5 stars hotel I also remember reading a few years ago about Doutzen's backpack journey to Thailand.

Employees who support line personnel (the combat soldiers). It works the same way in a privately owned company- you have general managers, salespeople, or other personnel with profit & loss responsibility (line/operating) while you have analysts, R&D, secretaries, paper-pushers, janitors, etc...

In war, the operating results are enemies neutralized, strategic & political objectives obtained rather than profits, market share, cash flow, net asset value, shareholder value, etc. in business.

Explain about what aspect? :-) I mean, I can talk a lot about this, but I don't know where you'd want me to start..:

flaming bananas... I think I remember reading about such recipe, lol.

Didn´t know about Doutzen and Jac... I love such adventurous souls and Daria, can you imagine her ocean trip? I´m not much into ocean trips, rather stay on the ground and explore woods, but still, it must have been amazing.

You´re a big fan of Jac, aren´t you?
