Has anyone you know tried eating them ? I only ask that when a non poisonous something is overpopulating of course. I don't know what that thing is, I just thought it was funny . As to the vinegar thing, I just like drinking it . I take it you don't ?

I'm glad you like Nut Lover though . Here are some babies as well that I'll pm you some time. There's this show called "Too Cute!" on the Discovery Channel, Nat Geo or Animal Planetthat you might want to check out or tape some time if you haven't seen it. They focus on a different type of animal every tiem I think.

It really IS too cute lovely babies and be sure to pm me more pics, or post here, I´d love to see more and more

Yeah, my friends made a soup od them - and gone crazy their meat is not very delicious, rather hard to chew, but eatable and (they say) healthy but they do not belong in a normal menu

Do you really drink vinegar - just like that? I love it into soups... but never achieved drinking it alone!

^I think it's an ABOMINATION!!! villagers.gif

Ja - no, really, everything has it's place it's just not really 'wine' to me. I mean the process is the same I suppose, but, well... 1062-wine.gif

Actually, when I went to that wedding in France last year it was in Calvados and we drank a lot of cidre and apple brandy. msn-12.gif Yeah, I can't think of a specific word for homebrew - except "homebrew"! Although that tends to be used more for homemade beers. When I was in Sweden akvavit, and 'snaps', were very common. They tended to be grain alcohols flavoured with dill or caraway - but always around 40/50%... Funnily enough 'slivovitz' was a drink I had a fair bit of in the US. It was on this "Wheel of Fortune" at my local bar - $1 a shot, but you took your chances. That was one of the better ones!

Oh, and I saw this shot of Daria by Cass Bird - you've probably seen it before, but I thought it was nice and you might appreciate it:

post-11221-1333648740_thumb.jpg

Love that Daria shot thank you B

Oh, such a bad luck - I did not know you hate the cherry wine so much it is rather very tasty, especially the home made one... and very light, and that comes from me - who doesn´t like wines but one of my friends who loves wines also appreciated its taste, so I guess it´s not that bad afterall.

I think "snaps" is common in Germany too. Slivovitz, lol - that might be it it´s a very specific taste, and rather strong alcohol. You should try "marhulovica" - especially the one my friend has this year, it smells of apricot marmelade and tastes so softly - really one of the best ones I have ever tasted.

As for Cara Delevingne the little princess, her background is rather interesting. Her last name was notable in fashion since the early 1900s. She has a pretty face, and distinctive at that. Her only problem is physical stature and form- she seems to be at a petite 5' 7'' or so.

Her sister, Poppy, is another member of the idle rich. She's famous for attending lots and lots of parties and doing the odd photoshoot. She reminds me of Sienna Miller.

Did I mention the fact that she's an aspiring actress?

siennamiller.jpg

She's taller and much more mature looking than her sister. In fact, I'd rightly say that she looks a lot older than her 22 years. She looks older than me, LOL.

I think Cara is prettier than Emma Watson.

BTW, I saw one video of Cara and you're right: She has charisma and presents herself well! Her voice is regal and, judging from pictures alone, completely unexpected !:-D

She seems 'street smart' and rather comfortable. I surmise that Cara understands the situation. She's been positioning herself between Arizona and Karlie recently. Getting photographed with them and so forth. That's how I noticed her. Smart move on her part. ;-D

I love all the pics you posted of Cara Poppy leaves me rather uninterested but Cara is endearing, it´s impossible not to love her lol. She´s funny and smart, and has these wonderful face features with strong eyes and jawline, really wonderful. I wish to see more of her

I hope that her height won´t be any problem.

The last few books I read were three about investor-centric forensic accounting, a book on failed mergers & acquisitions and two books on organizational structure. The forensic accounting books were pretty exhausting to read but the rest were fun. And I finally started 'thinking fast and slow'.

I really, really recommend this must-read. Do you remember?:

thinkingfastandsloww.jpg

It's valuable and lucidly written. He extracts all the important neuroscience conclusions- his life's work- about fast thinking (intuition) and slow thinking (logic and analysis) and adapted it into a very presentable format. Kahneman and his staff did a great job here. Kahneman's academic papers were always a 'must-read' for decision makers and this just makes gasping his work and thus, behavioral economics, so much easier.

I think you may get more out of this than even Freud, Jennka!

BTW, when do you find time to study, Jennka?

This one sounds great - I´m writing it in my "want-to-read" books list! Thank you for recommendation Andy

When I find time to study? I wish I had more of it Spanish takes a lot of time from me which I would love to dedicate to reading I usually read before going to sleep... and study Spanish while FL studies German. I also use every hour when I´m not cooking or tidying up... but then again I also need to rest a little bit and I try to dedicate at least an hour to fl every day, if it´s "only" resting next to him or watching TV, or making fun with him... I think it´s important to do such things, to concentrate on the one you love - every day at least a little bit to enjoy his company. I find it also very refreshing - because learning Spanish or reading Freud or the Black Holes from John Taylor I´m currently reading is really exhausting for me - psychically.

When do you find time to study?

I don't fully agree with Malick and his themes. But I am aware of the fact that I know little about nature, Jennka. I never learned how to appreciate and value nature. I have spent very little of my life in it. But I am open about it, because it is area that I am ignorant about. There is this line from the film:

Captain: Have you had anybody die in your arms sir? Have you?

Lt. Colonel: ...<>...This has nothing to do with cowardice or inefficiency. ...Look at this Jungle. Look at this jungle. Look at those vines, the way they twine around, swallowing everything. Nature's cruel, Staros.

I agree completely. If you asked me this question when I was an 8 year old boy I would have said the same thing. 'Nature's Cruel'. Even as a little boy I could see selfish nature of others. Some more selfish than me. Some less so. Some had native aptitude. Others had smaller amounts. Some were temperamental, petty, and pathetic. Others were less so. Some were even noble. Then of course, there's that complex, interconnected environment that shapes and molds us independent of our own decisions.

'Nature' more often than not, robs humans of light, knowledge, and life. I believe this.

And I don't see wars as an act of self-destruction or a failure to communicate, Jennka. I see some as high risk social responsibility and an integral component of the painful evolutionary process of humanity. What is the goal of human evolution? I believe that it is self-actualization, self improvement, and productive achievement. It would be ideal for the leading nations- with the most powerful weapons and organizations...to 'manage' humanity and intelligent life towards a better direction. Just a principal, rather than a reality, that I believe in.

So I don't blame people for 'trying' or 'dying' for it.

As for nature, I have little positive impressions of it. I don't think that..outside of its capacity to serve man...that it's worth a single penny. Neither nature nor animal or plant life.

What should be preserved and fostered are human lives worth living and that alone. And most important than 'life'- the lives left standing must be worth living. You know, when you talk about how happy you feel in the wilderness- ...I must say that I feel the same way. But I have felt this only when I am surrounded by skyscrapers blotting out the sky...

Here you can see how different we are. I´m exactly the opposite - I rather despise human kind and respect nature. I see nothing "good" in war save for few things - reduction of humans and inventions. On the other hand, I adore science as much as I hate it, I adore biology and genetics as much as I hate it. It seems I love the facts and love the knowledge - but I hate when people use it it´s like there are two persons in me - one is an animal, and the other one is human, and they´ve been fighting all the time since I was a child.

You believe in people Andy and I adore your optimism - but I think that you are going to be very, very dissapointed one day.

Nature is cruel - in it´s purest sense. Only the strongest, the bravest, the best survive. Nature takes you everything - to give you everything. People can fight it, but they will never win - when they kill nature, they kill themselves, and once the Earth shakes, we are just as capable of doing nothing like ants. In this whole, wide and great universe, we are just a dust.

I still smirk when I see people who think themselves to be something special. I read about black holes, about their sheer power, about cruel and powerful space around us, and I laugh when I realize how small, how incompetent, how insignificant we are.

Look at how fragile we got - without electricity most people would die. Most people can´t imagine life without all the modern gadgets eventhough it was NOT long ago we lived without all of them. There are still many people who manage to live without it. I think that our own intelligence and our own inventions will doom us one day.

On the other hand, I feel that people are somehow responsible for the nature around them, for the animals, for the trees. We live on this earth, we should value it, respect it - especially because we don´t live here alone and the Earth does not belong to us.

I respect your opinion eventhough I highly disagree with it but people are different, enjoy different things, have different values and live different lives. It´s ok.

It seems I love the facts and love the knowledge - but I hate when people use it it´s like there are two persons in me - one is an animal, and the other one is human, and they´ve been fighting all the time since I was a child.

I am 'indifferent' about humankind. I don't love or hate it and, more or less, not even individual people at that. It is what it is, and it's more productive to me that I observe and study it. And ask 'why'. I don't demand moral 'perfection' because morality doesn't exist, anyway. It's a fluid man-made institution. War is just a peripheral activity, an extension of political life.

You believe in people Andy and I adore your optimism - but I think that you are going to be very, very dissapointed one day.

At the heart of it, I believe in 'economics' and a principled liberal society- the rich, cultured person is less likely to commit 'total' crimes like mass murder to get what they want. A rich, cultured person makes more intelligent decisions and is not a slave to his or her whims. Crime has a strong positive correlation with poverty. So once wealth and culture are obtained, the ugliness is marginalized. I believe in well-functioning institutions and the countervailing forces that compose a respectable parliamentary democracy. And I believe that people can be a part of this.

In the main, it has a pretty good track record. So 'wealth creation' features strongly in my views and is the essential necessity of progress. That is why I find 'nature' to only be a feeding ground for it.

Not necessarily the best. As in the marketplace, circumstances do matter, lol.

I still smirk when I see people who think themselves to be something special. I read about black holes, about their sheer power, about cruel and powerful space around us, and I laugh when I realize how small, how incompetent, how insignificant we are.

That's true, but I see that the stars are irrelevant to my lifetime.

Look at how fragile we got - without electricity most people would die. Most people can´t imagine life without all the modern gadgets eventhough it was NOT long ago we lived without all of them. There are still many people who manage to live without it. I think that our own intelligence and our own inventions will doom us one day.

I think that was the view of the 1960s counterculture in the US- that 'nuclear war' would go off, and why not just 'live' today?

On the other hand, I feel that people are somehow responsible for the nature around them, for the animals, for the trees. We live on this earth, we should value it, respect it - especially because we don´t live here alone and the Earth does not belong to us.

I respect your opinion eventhough I highly disagree with it but people are different, enjoy different things, have different values and live different lives. It´s ok.

Enjoyments and sentiments are endlessly malleable.

I don't believe that human beings have any responsibility to the native environment beyond what effects health of people. Indeed, this divergence between our views are probably due to the fact that you get a lot of enjoyment out of nature and I get barely any. I probably would feel differently if I had more free time to enjoy nature. That's probably the case.

And no, don't get me wrong, I don't hate cherry wine - I just don't think of it as 'wine' per se. I've had home-made pea wine, and parsnip wine too - they're interesting, I'll say that! But they're no substitute. 1062-wine.gif

Also, like most "kids", I used to drink those fortified wines like Thunderbird! :yuckky: And I don't know what I'd class them as, other than 'gut-rot'...

Yeah, you told me why you wanted to move to London, and I´m so so happy that it worked and you got the job! and they even will wait for you until you find your place - now I call this perfection what are you looking for - specifically? What is a *"flatshare"?

Oh, I have been busy as hell, lots of stress, fl is still unemployed and I´m trying to minimize our costs... fortunately my salary for these last two months have been very good so I still manage to cover all of our costs and needs, and we were even able to go on this years´ Easter vander fl is also helping me, but sometimes I just feel like I´m alone - because I have always had serious problem to rely on anybody else than me so I stressed out and broke two weeks ago, it was not nice but we talked it out and I´m recently (still) learning to realize we´re two, and I´m not alone.

So it´s rather crazy. But good news - only three more months and my car will be paid up and I can concentrate on moving on to buy a new place to live - or to actually buy the one we are currently living in. Also, my parents are divorcing - which is not good nor bad, so I´m just curious how everything will be later on.

You see. crazy things happening all the time and life spinning, just like you
