Erm. This is embarassing

But I really hope I´m back this time we still have a work to do, but it have quietted down a little (but I´m still recovering from the month - long crazyness and trying to catch up with everything I missed during that time, hello fl and life) so that is one reason why I spend very little time on BZ.

I´m really working on it I miss you all.

Hey Dave

I totally love that set! Nina is stunning. Things are settling down bit by bit in work, we also had holidays so I was mostly working or relaxing at the cottage, we also had a trip to Morava and Kalinka, pictures in waiting

Ahoj!

Jennka I miss you.

Missed you too my sweet Kiki. I hope to spend more time on BZ now. But I thought about you for the whole two months because we hosted a Nissan Brand Event which was organized by a French company, so lots of French guys around (mostly from Paris).

I tell you, never met anyone such strict in details, lol, everything had to be p-e-r-f-e-c-t. But some of them were lovable and pleasure to work with

how are you hun? Any news in BZ or real world?

Holly shit. That was splendid! I think I´ve heard of them before - they might have won this Slovakia Has Talent show. There is also a commercial for Orange running with them in it.

Ok, though I doubt I'll do it this Thursday

I think I'll go to a park feed squirrels, the weather is too lovely not to do that

I did, yeah had to. Fortunately the rain and storm stopped by the time I had to go outside

And that's exactly what I meant, Jennka

I know I´m late in replying, damn. Hope you´re doing well, Lay. We´re having a nice autumn here, how about you?

Thank you Andy once again I like the insight, the pluses and minuses, well summed-up. I expect reviews like these from you in the future as well!

Also, and talk about coincidences: This was an interview Kendra Spears did recently. In fact, the timing of the interview coincides with my announcements. Is she reading your thread? Hey Kendra? Kendra! Post here...(lets hope for serendipity..):

Model Spotlight: Kendra Spears

Tell us the last book you read?

I am currently reading Thinking Fast and Slow, a book about how the mind works.

Kendra is on spot!

I´m currently (finally!!!) reading Darwin´s On the Origin of Species. Great book, although a bit exhausting to read.

Exactly. For a while sarees have been seen by younger Indian women as a little old fashioned but in the past few years a number of Indian designers have started to create more contemporary sarees and there's a, kind of, saree revival going on. This revival has also been helped by the fact that any female non-Indian celebrity visiting India seems to feel obliged to be seen in a saree at some point during their visit and now ordinary female tourists to India do too.

Glad to hear this. It would be a shame to have such beautiful clothes forgotten. It´s almost kind of magical, isn´t it?

Actually no. Of course young girls do see their mothers, grandmothers and older sisters putting on sarees so they get the hang of it from them. Sarees are, however, more or less, a standard size and can only really be draped on an adult body, So girls can only start actually wearing sarees in their late teens. It's regarded as a, kind of, coming of age thing.

Interesting, thank you for the info I thought sares come in all seizes, but this adds to the whole magical feeling a little bit more

I'm great, thanks. The house hasn't changed much but, I don't know if I've mentioned this before, we've now hired a gardener to come in every two weeks (apart from a couple of months during the Winter) to tidy up the garden. He's doing a great job although it is looking a little bare now. Over the next few months we'll try to fill in some of the gaps with some new plants. As for work, we've now moved into our new area. Still settling in, ironing out the bugs but things are going okay. Working in central London rather than west London is a little different. Not better or worse just different. We're in an area that's traditionally where the fashion business in London is based. So lots of model agencies, photographers and fashion mags based here. The cafes around here are great places for people watching.

Have you even met some models there?

Reading things in other languages is great fun too. I haven't read much of the English Harry though so you're doubly ahead of me there . I also found that the English version of Pan's Labyrinth lost some things in translation . One thing about language is that some things just don't make sense translated. For example, what sense does a reference to a local proverb or slang make in another language? I guess it depends on how you break it down.

I personally don't much see the point of scientific names actually . Every one of them has a shorter, common equivalent. As to my memory, I literally have a room with several televisions like a super villain to take in as much information as possible to test my limits . I can remember page numbers of large books I've read years ago, people's phone numbers and birthdays from elementary school, but not some of their names . As a side note, Omega-3 (particularly the DHA) fatty acids have been shown to remarkably increase the memory function of rats in every lab study . Good luck with the language venture, its definitely worth it .

It´s always up to a translator how he deals with it, however, some things are just untranslatable. Like this one in Expendables 2 when Sly says: "Rest in pieces." Impossible to translate it into Slovak with the same irony. We say "Odpočívaj v pokoji" (pokoj - peace) but Rest in pieces would be "Odpočívaj po kúskoch" which is totally different from the original one and loses it´s sense of a word-game.

I loved Pan´s Labyrinth, saw it in Slovak and Spanish, but I´m not that good with speaking Spanish to enjoy it like I do in English. I think I need to watch much more Spanish movies. Any recommendations??

I´m starting my Russian classes on 10th pretty nervous, I tell you.

great memory there, Joe!
