^ Those Gisele pics!!

She´s EPIC Damn she really knows her moves and angles. I love her for that - it makes her a great model that she is.

Yes, she's epic indeed! Such a great body, and she definitely knows how to work with it.

LOTR was (in my opinion) the best work Tolkien has ever written - it was his lifetime work. All the languages, all the geography, the story - he was a genius that put everything in these three books. He invented his own world and made it perfect. When I saw the movies, I thought - whow, nothing can get better than this - but then I read the books and I was smitten - the movies, eventhough being perfect themselves, could not compare. Those were books written by a genius. Master pieces.

I definitely agree! Those books are a true masterpiece. But his real lifetime work was actually The Silmarillion, which he started around 1917, but never managed to complete. That book was actually compiled and published by his son after he died. All of the events in LOTR have their most remote origins in The Silmarillion.

LOTR though is a perfect work in every sense!

So you saw the movies first?

I read the books just a little before the movies came out (a couple of weeks before actually), I was 12 years old by that time, and I was incredibly amazed by those books. Every now and then I read them again. Actually I'm doing it now, this time in english

My all-time favourite book is The Last Unicorn from Peter S. Beagle - a book I am able to fanatically fight for because I damn love every single word in it. For me, it´s a literature jewel, a poetic orgasm, lol. Beagle wrote the book when being fresh out of university, full of all the legendary literature works and authors and his own ideas. There´s so much in the book I cannot even describe - I could wrote a whole essay on it there are his own poems, references to many iconic works, hidden metaphors on every single page, and an epic end with no classic happyend, but still a positive one.

It´s one of the basic fantasy literature works. Pure melody. This is just an example:

“I am no king, and I am no lord,

And I am no soldier at-arms," said he.

"I'm none but a harper, and a very poor harper,

That am come hither to wed with ye."

"If you were a lord, you should be my lord,

And the same if you were a thief," said she.

"And if you are a harper, you shall be my harper,

For it makes no matter to me, to me,

For it makes no matter to me."

"But what if it prove that I am no harper?

That I lied for your love most monstrously?"

"Why, then I'll teach you to play and sing,

For I dearly love a good harp," said she.”

Peter S. Beagle, The Last Unicorn

Other than this one, I have way too many favourite books! All of Terry Practhet´s portfolio, Chris Moore´s books (especially Evangelium according to Biff, Jesus´s best friend - LAMB), Beagle´s Rhinoceros Who Quoted Nietsche, and maaany others, maybe later they will come up to mind

I haven't heard about that book or it's author. I'll definitely check for it. It looks interesting, though I've never been that much into poetry for some reason.

Lol I have that same will to fanatically fight for a book with LOTR and Tolkien's work

We have somewhat similar phrase in Slovak that can be translated like "gay in hiding" I don´t think someone is gay just because he loves ballet - or Madonna there are more things to being gay of course.

When speaking about gays, one thing I really love about USA is their open and modern attitude towards them (generally and oficially) - considering the approval of gay marriages and general understanding of the whole issue.

How is it in real-life everyday Joe ( ) perceiving gay issues in USA today?

Hi Jennka, I'm back. A belated happy birthday to you. Sorry I missed that.

Working in central London rather than west London is a little different. Not better or worse just different. We're in an area that's traditionally where the fashion business in London is based. So lots of model agencies, photographers and fashion mags based here. The cafes around here are great places for people watching.

Have you even met some models there?

Thanks Jennka for writing back in such a reliable manner

I don´t  have time for that. I´ve decided to invest in every new language 4 years of more or less intense learning, and then bang to a new language. I want to learn as many I can lol. I know that with kids one day, the free time would be even harder to find

Well we could of moved into a few single family homes by now but we are being extremely picky with what is out there since we are lucky enough to have great in-laws that are willing to house us still

LOL mhmm same here South Central LA baby! Booty shoots eh...we talking shoes still? And as for Gisele goes that women still has it going on indeed!

And you just got to love her his Halloween costume down below just in case you haven't seen it before It's so heart warming to see those two still very much in love with each other after all these years considering their high profile status and wealth.

u857.jpg

I loved that costume! Both of them really, I too am surprised by their mutual love and strong relationship in water like those.

So, what does your dream house look like?

I forgot about the Silmarillion, of course. LOTR is just more evident because of the fame and the fact it was finished as a whole story. I perceive the whole LOTR world to be his life-work, all the details, all the effort put in it - simply genius.

Yes, I saw the first part and then read all the books and then saw the other parts I loved both movies and books, but of course, books will always be better

What do you like more - the original English books or the translation of the book in your own language?

I haven't heard about that book or it's author. I'll definitely check for it. It looks interesting, though I've never been that much into poetry for some reason.

Oh, the poetry is just a part of it, 90% of the book is written in prose, of course. But the poetry in it is so magical, it complements the book wonderfully. Try to check it out, it´s really worth it!

I can´t imagine there are people who actually don´t value Tolkien´s work!

Actually, I think the term might descend from the phrase 'skeletons in the closet' so I think of 'coming out of the closet' as just confessing anything. Its funny when you put it like that because I just realized that I'm not even sure why I'm 'in the closet' about the degree of my ballet fandom. I have no concern for anyone thinking I'm gay or not and I also don't associate men's liking for ballet or Madonna with sexuality. Well, that is I wouldn't care about being thought to be gay unless my eating out with my gay friend was what stood in the way of Shanina Shaik coming a knockin' . Its probably more so being made fun of for being a dude liking it, but then (having moved on from the 2nd grade) I don't really care about being made fun of either. As a matter of fact, I just laugh along most of the time. That settles it. I'm telling everyone I love ballet, even though they didn't ask . Actually, now that I think about it, the reason is probably moreso the fear that people wouldn't actually believe that my interest went beyond looking at pretty, flexible women. That's not so say that I don't like pretty, flexible girls, but I don't have to sit and watch a long, elaborate stage production if that's all I wanted. Its the same with rhythmic gymnastics. I don't tell anyone I like it because I don't want them to think I just like it for drooling at the girls when in their case, I'm not even attracted to them. At least most of them look too young and girly to me, but their talent is underrated and astonishing. We are ever evolving when it comes to the gay issue. As to how far we've come, lets just say, if you're looking for a way to get fired in America, say something bad about gay people in public . Its definitely a career ender for celebrities here at the moment.

It´s a very reasonable attitude you have with the ballet thing And I totally agree about gymnastics - their talent is breathtaking. FL used to do gymnastics when he was young, and still has a thing for it, so whenever it is possible he watches it and I do too - and am fascinated by it. I especially do love women gymnastics and the compilation they do on ground (no idea how it is called) - it´s so artistic and so beautiful.

Gay issues here are still perceived as a no-no thing (specially by older people) but I have faith in young, educated and thinking people in the future. Generally, I feel the public opinion is moving towards being more tolerant and that´s a great thing. I´m sure people will eventually learn that we´re all the same and what should matter is not your sexual orientation but rather your character.

Hi Jennka, I'm back. A belated happy birthday to you. Sorry I missed that.

Thank you

I've certainly seen a lot of women who could be models around here. A couple of weeks ago I did pass someone who had a striking resemblance to Cara Delevingne. As soon as I could I checked her Twitter feed to see if it gave any indication that she was in London... it didn't. So while I'm not sure about Cara, I am fairly certain I did see another well known model a few years ago.

I often travel around London by the Underground or Tube. I was on a train one Sunday afternoon. I had to change to a different line at Notting Hill Gate. As I got off the train, I noticed a woman getting off about a carriage length ahead of me. I noticed her for a number of reasons. First, she seemed to be much taller than everyone else on the platform and, perhaps because she was so tall, she seemed to be walking more slowly than everyone else even though she was moving along the platform at the same speed as everyone else. I also noticed that, even in the dimly lit station, her shoulder length dark brown hair shone like she'd just stepped out of a shampoo commercial and I could see, even from behind, that the dark blue coat she was wearing was tailored better than anything you would find in a high street store.

As I turned off the platform down the passage to the escalator, I began to wish that I could see her face, hoping that she looked as beautiful from the front as she did from the back. At that moment, for some inexplicable reason, she looked around. I recognised her face instantly, I'd seen it in dozens of magazine ads and TV commercials. Now you might imagine that seeing her in a dingy underground station would be a bit of a disappointment after seeing her in carefully crafted ads and commercials but that certainly wasn't the case. Perhaps because I was seeing her in real life and not in a photo, she looked far more beautiful than I'd ever seen her look, before or since.

At the top of the escalator, I lost track of her. Thanks to Bellazon, I now know that that woman was Saffron Aldridge. If this incident had happened anywhere else I could easily have convinced myself that I'd just seen someone who looked vaguely like her but Notting Hill Gate is one of London's media 'ghetto's', just the sort of place that a successful model would live. Also, I now know that Saffron does, in fact, live in London. So I am now fairly confident that it was her.

This is exactly the kind of story I´ve always expected when meeting a model in real life. I remember Baron once told me very similar story, with different model of course, and it was equally model-esque. I just can´t really imagine how they must be in real life - even more beautiful. It only takes me to see their personal pictures to realize that it must be a real heart-breaker moment to actually meet them. Just imagine Gisele - everyone that ever met her was saying the same - that she is totally enchanting and even more beautiful and radiant than in any of her pictures.
