Thanks Jennka for writing back in such a reliable manner

always pleasure writing to you!

Did you learn the previous one adequately?

I´ve been learning English for more than 11 years I think - only after getting my first state exam in it I´ve decided that during studying for the second state exam (translating) I´ll take on another language, so I started to learn Spanish. While learning Spanish I´ve realized that there are so many languages I´d love to learn and due to my reduced free time (thanks to many hobbies I try to maintain) I don´t have the 11 years to study the language thoroughly anymore. So I was like, I´ll jump on the train and see how it goes. I chose Russian because of azbuka and also for its relative closeness to Slovak language. (REALLY relative, as I´m learning recently). But I´m already able to write both print and written azbuka and read. My reading is still relatively slow, but I practice a lot and learn new words. My goal is to be able to read Puskin and Gorkij in Russian. For now, I´m staying with skazky - fairytales

All these models, and Lais especially have very fine and elongated bone structure.

You know, with Valentina I feel the opposite.  Due to her twitter account and her blogging of her interests, this makes her seem more like a non-aristocratic person.  I just see her as that 'beautiful Russian woman with the warm smile.'  She's entirely approachable by nearly everybody.  She does however, model luxury a lot but I had seen it to be a little out of place.  Nimue Smit, Arizona Muse, Catherine McNeil, Eniko, Hana, S., etc. look like they are worth a billion dollars.

Oh, Eniko. She´s just another world. Funny about Valentina, how our perceiveing of her differs might be because I don´t check her twitter account. However when you say "aristocratic", her face is what comes to my mind

How do you feel about Edita V.?

Indeed yes, I was talking implicitly about the Caucasian population in the USA- which tends to be northern/western European more so than central or eastern European.  So somebody who looks like you or somebody with the so-called 'Russian cheekbones' is in the minority.  Somebody with cheekbones and a face like Magadelena  Frack. is rare.  Personally, I adore good cheekbones on women and somebody like Monica Jac and Edita has the ideal.

However, in New York/New Jersey state there are a much higher numbers of people with jewish, polish, hungarian, russian, and other eastern european backgrounds than elsewhere in the USA.

Czech and Russian women are often joked at for being 'Mercenary' and of course there are internet dating services where they try to marry an American and get a green card & future citizenship... :brows:

I cannot agree with you more on Edita and Jac. They are ideals - perfection, beauty in its purest sense as I perceive it.

Why is it New York and New Jersey? Is there any apparent (or hidden) historical reason to it?

Oh, wait, Czech women too? I know about Russian women but the Czech is a pretty big surprise for me!

I posted Magdelena's butt (lol), Elsa hosk? in front of the pool, and Cat. M. (black/green bikini).

I always check Marloes, Dioni, and Edita as well.  As for Kristina she is too young looking for me :-p

Anne Christine reminds of Jennifer Connelly. (a beautiful mind, etc.)  I admire her genuine presence and overall good acting skills.  And that thick black hair and green/blue eyed look that Hilary Rhoda also has.  Out of your list, I like Anna Arendshorst.

PS:

I made an unsuccessful thread over the summer.  Only Stormbringer and I managed to post in it.  Would it interest you?  I thought the idea of discussing 'books you haven't read' to be more expansive, interesting, productive, and realistic than making a topic of 'books you've read'...... Currently I am reading 'American Law in the 20th Century (a history of law 1900-2000)' at a snail's pace.

http://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/49067-books-you-havent-read/page-2#entry3283613

Kristina too young looking? Yes, might be - when I think about it now, I can see it

You´ve got a point with Anne Christine I like her expecially becasue she reminds me of Jennifer, which I consider one of the most beautiful actresses ever. She was the only reason I watched the Beautiful Mind movie.

I´ll check the thread, thank you Andy It sounds amazing, I wish I had more time to dedicate to BZ for now I´m happy when I´m able to answer posts in my thread. I´m so lazy recently, might be winter comming in

I forgot about the Silmarillion, of course. LOTR is just more evident because of the fame and the fact it was finished as a whole story. I perceive the whole LOTR world to be his life-work, all the details, all the effort put in it - simply genius.

Yes, I saw the first part and then read all the books and then saw the other parts I loved both movies and books, but of course, books will always be better

What do you like more - the original English books or the translation of the book in your own language?

Ah yes, that whole world, the Legendarium, is definitely the work of his life. It's incredible the level of detail he put into it. And on top of that he created all these languages. An incredible work.

Yes, the books are better always or at least most of the times, and this is not the exception

Good question. I like the original English version because it's how Tolkien originally wrote it. On the other hand, I first read them (and then more than a couple of times again) in Spanish, so I'm used to that version. It's safe to say that I like them both I guess

Oh, the poetry is just a part of it, 90% of the book is written in prose, of course. But the poetry in it is so magical, it complements the book wonderfully. Try to check it out, it´s really worth it!

I can´t imagine there are people who actually don´t value Tolkien´s work!

I'll look for it once I'm in vacations

Hahaha, well, just a thing of taste. I know some people who find it boring. Hard to understand, but well, nothing to do about it

Charlbi Dean Kriek do you like her?

Yes! At least based on a few pictures.

I noticed you're learning or learned Spanish. How it was the process for you? Did you find it easy, difficult?

That is true that there is definitely always hope in the open-mindedness of new generations . This is interesting to hear about FL doing gymnastics especially after having done sambo too. That makes me think of the chorus of this song...

...I like men's gymnastics too. The women have more grace whereas the men have some unique strength routines like the rings and such. I think the 'floor exercise' is what you were describing? That's definitely one where the women have the advantage because they can do it so fast and the hand motions the judges look for are more natural for them. I'm not crazy about the concept of sports being rated by judge's scores though , but I can't necessarily think of any other way to do it.

The languages are what fascinates me most. It takes a serious language genius to invent a whole new language in all the details as he did. Amazing

Jennka,

I recently discovered Ava Smith.  She is gorgeous as both a blonde and a brunette.

What do you think? I thought you'd like her:   Unfortunately BZ's thread is thin on her although she's been active since 2005.

I loved that costume! Both of them really, I too am surprised by their mutual love and strong relationship in water like those.

So, what does your dream house look like?

They are the odd couple out when it comes to most Hollywood married couples lasting. I wish them the best

At this point one we are moved into LOL but on a more serious note I do want some nice hardwood floors for my home. Creates such a warm ambiance and feel for a home rather then the cold feel of carpet or stone. I also want a nice spacious garage since I want to build a future train set in there, one of my hobbies So for now those are 2 requirements for the home more coming soon

Wow, Nov 15th 2013!  I miss you Jennka.

I can see this.  To me, learning a language is a serious undertaking that also requires a thorough study of the nation's or region's culture.  My objective was to be able to operate in that country and be able to use it like a citizen in everyday life.  In my mind it would be the key to living somewhere else someday (maybe for a bit?).  It is such a process to leave one's country and resettle & integrate oneself somewhere else.

I still love Edita although I've done full reviews of her long ago and have since moved on to other models.

Also, a recommendation:  Creativity: The Psychology of Discovery and Invention

I recently read the footnotes of this classic book and was favorably impressed at the breadth of the research study.  I think you'll like it as you like evolutionary psychology and making art.

Yes, I like it. I think it's a very good translation overall. Of course it has some mistakes here and there, but in general I think it's a good translation.

Interesting how much the perception of a book can change because of a bad translation!

LOTR is the only book of which I've read the original English version though. I'd like to read the English versions of A Song of Ice and Fire books too.

How much different is (as a language) Czech to Slovak?

How much different? I guess is as different as Spanish from Portugal, maybe a little less. We understand each other because our cultures are very close and we generally grow up with Czech language as well as with Slovak but for a foreigner it might sound as two totally different languages.

How different are Portugese and Spanish?

Oh, that would be great! Thanks

Lol indeed there's a lot of prejudice around these books. Especially when there's Elves and other mythological beings in them.

Ok, just send me an email on jennka22@gmail.com and I´ll send it to you

Yes, the prejudice is obvious, but also obviously plain and I´m sure it will vanish with future generations I really like the general movement of our social culture towards more fantasy, scifi, science and tolerance for those who are different than the general population.

Algunas veces estoy tan perezosa!

Building trains is your hobby? Didn´t know about that one

hardwood floor is such an amazing thing - although very pricy as well. I also do love carpets because I find them very warm - I´m not a fan of paving or stone inside the house aside from purely decorative or practical aims.
