^Then come back, mi pelirrojita - I'm sure Tumblr has many charms, but don't be consumed by it's seductive allure. Your absence instigated my 'break' too...Baron, it's awful!Tumblr has taken over my life
I miss you so much

+ Oh look: 200 pages!
Take that blurdk and Safin83!!!
I shall endeavor to stay here, for your sake, love. ![]()

^I was having a good time still, never fear! Mainly on a musical theatre binge with a that-way-inclined lady. I've decided that it's not really for me - although I like the old MGM musicals...And thank you for your attempt! I have to say I agree with you, Ms. Lindvall had a lissom coquettishness in her younger days that has been replaced by looking slightly drawn.
Just saw a brand new editorial with the lovely Anouck Lepere though - and she shows no sign of diminishing powers, so all is not lost!

Wow, I like her
hey, nice to hear that you had a good time. Do you get musical theater and musical theater people, Baron? I knew several, and it being not my area of focus.. I couldn't completely fit in and I didn't really understand their language. But I really appreciated seeing their talents in action and their special abilities. They get a special joy out of life.

This has ruined Ginta to me (as of the moment..):

^ why? I'm pretty sure that boy is Ginta's brother....

Yes ![]()
I think Ginta's very pretty...
But they look way too much alike ![]()

^ After all, they ARE siblings ![]()

They look like twins...
Sometimes I wonder what my sister would look like (If I had one), LOL ![]()

You'll be happy to note Dr. Zoidberg is back ![]()

hey Baron, out of curiosity, have you read H. L. Mencken?

^Anouck Lepere is of a similar vintage to Ms. Lindvall, which is why I mentioned her. Years previous to my joining BZ she was very much my model muse! A proto-Behati if you will! Her interviews are always incredibly endearing...Wow, I like her![]()

Yeah, Musical theatre 'types'. They do have an irresistible joie de vivre, true. And no sense of embarrassment it would seem. There was always very much the air of 'let's-do-the-show-right-here' being around them, and lots of spontaneous singing and dancing in public spaces. I'm a little more reserved than that, but it was exciting. However, on the flip-side, they are capricious and self-centred - and (which I guess comes with the job) intensely committed for a brief period of time, i.e in their line of sight(!), but able to move on at the drop of a hat. <_<

^Actually I was thinking he was a dead-ringer for this lesbian pub landlord back home! No joke. But anyone with their arm around Ginta is guaranteed to get my heckles up regardless!!!^ After all, they ARE siblings![]()

^Indeed I am - either the good doctor or Alina in your sets are indicative of you. I shan't accept anything else! You'll be happy to note Dr. Zoidberg is back![]()
^Yes, but only as part of my studies - had to read Treatise On The Gods, plus various extracts of other works and essays. Interesting views that I've noticed, as time passes and the older I become, I agree with more and more!hey Baron, out of curiosity, have you read H. L. Mencken?

Haha, exactly. They look too much a like, tis' a bit disturbing..
HL reminds me of Christopher Hitchens. I had a chance to flip through a collection of HL's "Prejudices" volumes and I found it very interesting. He's incredibly brutal and piercing, and his use of the english language is quite something else.
He's kind of like a model for the archetypal NYC/Chicago elitist "liberal" that the more aggressive right wingers hate.

She reminds me of Mimi Aden:

Haha, that brings back a lot of memories... One of my best friends has a slew of connections with them, and apparently they're the same in Argentina as they are in New York.
I hanged out and partied with "the crew" periodically. I dated one for a while, and when I was with her friends I was usually totally out of my depth and confused...
My brain just doesn't function like someone with a strong case of attention deficit disorder and ferociousness up & down emotions..
It seems to me that Drama schools and local theaters collect an army of these people and put em' together. :-) I am envious, at times, of people who can have bouts of euphoria with a snap of a finger..

^Murakami's work is pretty surreal, which appeals greatly to me. I love the way he weaves these quirky elements into stories that focus primarily on the humdrum - with protagonists feeling tangential to society, and often pining for lost loves...In a way he's like a literary equivalent of David Lynch or the Cohen brothers, in that you feel the story is going one way, simple, and then bam - WTF?!!
As for Cider With Rosie, well, Laurie Lee is this brilliant (in my opinion anyway!) British poet - but he wrote these memoirs of his childhood in rural England, then how he went travelling around Spain as a young man, and then got caught up in the Spanish Civil War. The books conjure up these evocative images of two countries I know very well, but between the two World Wars. I don't know, often the subject matter is heavy - but it captures the carefree attitude you have about such things in youth.
Both things sound really beautiful and interesting
are these the kind of books you love the most?
happy monday B (if a monday can ever be happy)

^It will, perhaps, not surprise you that Mini Anden was another favourite of mine at that period (early 2000's)!She reminds me of Mimi Aden:It seems to me that Drama schools and local theaters collect an army of these people and put em' together. :-) I am envious, at times, of people who can have bouts of euphoria with a snap of a finger..
As for the drama schools - I think those sort of people all drift that way. It's like catnip to them... It's nice that they have such places to congregate!
