^It's an undeniable classic! (Y)best songgggggggggg evers lolllllllllll
^And it looked so promising on paper...Unfortunately falls into the so bad it's gone past good and back to bad again category <_<
^Yeah. But see I loved Planet Terror and Death Proof - there's a giant chasm between those, and other films that have tried to do it. Although there's that inherent ridiculousness to them, you could tell that Rodriguez and Tarantino have a genuine love and reverence, not to mention understanding of the style. When that's not there, it comes off so contrived, and just flat out bad.
And well, I guess when the lead is a porn star, you can only expect the bar to go so high ![]()
Robert Englund was embarrassing in it too.. but I forgive him ![]()

^I loved those films too - but, Tarantino particularly, has this knack to inspire lots of shitty riffs on his films. I suppose 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery' though? But all those low-life "gangster" and narrative-jumping films that followed in Pulp Fiction's wake got rather tiresome...
Btw, did any of you see that The Girlfriend Experience - the Steven Soderbergh film starring Sasha Gray - since we're talking about films starring pornstars? (Well, not those films - they're in loads of them anwyay!) She wasn't bad at all.

How can someone even try to imitate Tarantino? That´s silly. He´s the brand, the genius, the crazy man... I love his movies even when I hate them.

Our birds came back again
. Do you all still have birds or are you part of the south they fly to

No, never saw that.. but I remember being intrigued by it. She was over here promoting it a couple of years back.

Sorry B, I just HAD to post it here ![]()

In truth I have no idea, as central Buenos Aires is the same as any major metropolitan city in that all you see in are palomas/pigeons. I have to say that when I lived in Melbourne it was cool as you saw loads of lovely bright coloured birds flying aorund al the time: galahs, rosellas and lorikeets. Really pretty. (Y) I'm sure out in the pampas there is lots more to see though. They probably leave the north for there if anywhere - it's just cows and grass.

These remind me of all these Chuck Norris 'jokes' ![]()

^Actually I think all's fair in that field - as both sets can butcher each other's accents with equal aplomb! But, yeah, the stiff-upper-lip or down-to-earth Brit-girl stereotypes are achingly hackneyed, Mr. Icon. My concern was more about the actresses themselves though, how they come across in interviews and chat-shows - it seems that Emma Thompson set down this template of being terribly self-deprecating and unfazed by Hollywood "glamour" which all who've followed in her successful wake slavishly follow... I find it a little tiresome and forced.
This pretty much nails it:
Haha, interesting. I really, however, want to see 'A Dangerous Method'. Keira will probably play herself again :-p

^Naturally!Oh, do you like birds, B?
Actually, I just like to see nature doing it's thing. And pretty birds are nice to see - makes a change from the vermin and bugs of the city... I just wish the colour pallet was better in Buenos Aires.
Joe hasn't come back on this yet (after instigating 'bird-talk'). Who does he think he is, Limerlight?! ![]()
Baron!
You should come play Star Wars The Old Republic with me! ![]()
