^So redxv is still a member? So if energizer also him, so wouldn't both be banned?

I'm giving Dannicullen an official warning and placing her on temp mod watch.

I've been sent a least 9 different double threads she's made which is not only ridiculous, it's LAZY. Doesn't take more then 3 seconds to do a search to see if the model already has a thread. DC has repetdablity in the past tried to have us delete original threads just so she can make a new thread and take credit for the find. and I've had enough.

The potato is strong in DC.

I remember once when she tryed to have Luma Grothes original thread deleted, and copied and pasted mine and everyone elses posts into a new thread under her name and posts

I banned energizer, but we still need an IP ban.

^Oh okay, thanks for the info! I thought that since energizer got banned that automatically meant redvx would too/is going to because its the same person?

Also adding I also do think something is definetly up with Baggot and Texas!

- I will take a look at BAGGOT again when I get home and we will go from there.
- redxv was banned on Sunday---that's why he created another account on a new proxy. He is so full of it b/c he was sent a message on why he was banned. "That name stopped working on bellazon.com for some reason." <---

- IP banned energizer

Get REKT son

Baggot, Red just look at the flowers...

I can spot patterns in people a mile away, and without ever needing to speak to them. Sadly I find ppl to be very predicable in how they will respond to any given stimuli, please take no offense...

There's a reason I'd be a great serial profiler.

^ You study criminology right?

I hear you about intuition and I understand Just to cover our asses I prefer to find some sorta solid evidence. At least that way we have something to back it up

I am!

I've always found that going with your gut will never steer you in the wrong direction, and once you have that feeling it's only a matter of time before the evidence begins to mount.

Question - do we ever administer punishments less than IP banning? Warnings are all well and good along the way, but I feel like there should be some sort of middle ground between that permabanning.

eg.

Strike 1 = week ban

Strike 2 = month ban

Strike 3 = permaban

I don't know - maybe that's not the best solution but I think members should be given more of a chance, with permabanning as a last resort. I feel like this forum has been slowly dying over the past few years, with seemingly fewer regular (active) members and a dwindling sense of community. Do any of you guys feel that too? I've seen many members over the journey fall to the ban hammer, and I've rarely been privvy to the circumstances surrounding them. I'm sure they were all perfectly justified, but could any of these members have been 'saved' by using less harsh but still tangible consequences? I see it as a real shame when this happens to long-standing members, and even more so if they were prolific posters making valuable contributions to the forum.

^ Banning is usually the last resort. We usually don't ban someone unless they are a spammer, we have good enough evidence they are trolling and/or have multiple accounts, or they have been given numerous chances that there's no other option. Even if they do have more than account we don't ban right away. We send them message asking them for an explanation. If they have a logical explanation (rarely do they) or if they admit to the infraction & apologizes then we will let them off with the most severe punishment being an official warning.

With most infractions it goes like this:

1. An unofficial warning (reminder) via PM

2. An official warning

3. If the repeated infraction or have had multiple infractions: either put member on Mod Watch, or Suspension (temporary ban), or a combo of both.

Sometimes there might be a language barrier when it comes to understanding the rules. In that case we try to get another member who speaks the same language to explain the rules. We also try to take it easy on them.

Basically use your logical and common sense to gauge the situation and see what would work best.

Pretty much what Pinky said. I bow to those with superior knowledge on IP issues and whatnot, but for anything else, it usually goes – friendly warning, less-than-friendly warning, temporary suspension(s), permanent ban. With the notable exception of the obvious and unwelcome spambots, everyone gets the right to reply.

I think your overall point is a very valid one though, Don. The daily number of posts here always seems to remain consistent, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen new members assume the 'social mantle' of the forum, as it were. Thus, the effect of losing active users is keenly felt and more noticeable now than it might have been in years gone by.

I'm very much in favor of that system because regardless of intentions or intuition, we will never fairly judge all members equally. There are members with 2-3 warnings whose conduct could have easily been interpreted as equal to some with 0 but we're not Robocop and subjectivity factors in. With that system however, we have the closest to a fool proof chance to be as fair and accurate as we can . Most reasonable members can generally be disuaded with an unofficial warning. I've found that (based on the Actress forum) many didn't even know what hotlinking was but after an unofficial warning never did it again. Spammers, trolls, hardcore a#$holes, bigots ect. on the other hand are obviously the least likely to be rehabilitated so to speak. Though they must be dealt, I wish them the best still.

Thanks for the warning (And no im not being sarcastic ) I usually do model search by typing there name + bellazon into google but im guessing that is not the right way/not always efficient. Thanks for the slap in the face (virtually speaking) helped me wake up a bit, if you understand?

Just had a quiet word with the user SuicideBrunette about soliciting for a TFS membership in GenTalk. Hopefully, she takes heed.
