Dope ! I thought it was gmail something or other, so I put that in the search and your same post came up . I was thinking the same thing though so the members that have loggin issues can just send to that email rather than create an account just to pm us...

This is not a case of them stealing your photos and claiming them as your own. They are merely wondering who it is in the picture and are hoping that someone can identify them.

I agree with you, nothing wrong in asking for an ID. Its not like they are claiming ownership nor brag about their awesome PS skills or anything.

Even after giving them a few informal warnings, the members were flooding the Bar Refaeli thread with more Bar & Leo drama, so I have now - temporarily - made Leonardo Di Caprio a not-allowed topic of discussion in her thread. I intend to raise the warn level of whomever ignores this new rule and upon a second infraction, I will hand out a one-week suspension. I hope it doesn't come to that but it seems like some members don't want to listen to any friendly nudge and it has been ruining that thread for people who are just interested in Bar Refaeli herself.

I've been putting it off but i'm getting a little tired of a certain poster by the name of Leda. If you check her posts she's constantly bad talking Bar. This is on leo's forum... however it gets tiresome of all the drama she seems to cause. The forum is dedicated to leo but all she wants to do is bad talk Bar

just got a pm from katchitup about 'please ban LEDA'. So other members are getting annoyed as well.

Edit: Just looked into Leda's post history and it seems to have originally started in Bar's thread but then moved to both bar and leo and now just leo exclusively. It seems she talked in Bar's thread only bout leo, which brought some members at the time to ask why she was even there in the first place. Obviously it followed the relationships of Leo.

Looked into Leo's thread as well: Bar and Leo have apparently broken up and there is some basing of Blake Lively going on now and some debate over him taking her to Disneyland, and some tweet about bumping a 7 year old from seat - but of course this is only oe side of the story. There's plenty of reasons it could have happened - aside from being mean. Seems to be jumping on/prolonging the most annoying of news stories. For everytime she's bashed the type of girl he dates, she's said I can't tell him what to do its my opinion ... and then bashes the girl again.

Judging from this and his post history, i wouldn't be surprised if we started to see a post or two in Blake's thread. Hopefully not. Cause's he's had nothing nice to say bout her thus far, and i can only imagine what she'd do there.

I pm'd Katchitup and told her we are looking into it and she should let us know if she (Leda) starts anything else up that we miss.

^ yea just got a PM from fashiondream as well complaining about Leda. Should we warn/ban that user? Did you see any provoking posts? If they only post in bar/leo thread I dont mind banning if necessary. Thanks

I've seen members try to tell her to keep her opinion to herself, but she keeps posting and says she won't stop cause its her opinion. There's also been a call for people to stop responding, but you know how that works. The conversation is usually nice but then gets hung up on the same sour topic. there's lately more posts in response to her criticism than leo news.

i kinda want a second opinion. There def needs to be AT LEAST a warning. And as you said, she only seems to post in regard to the leo topic - so a ban wouldn't be that big a deal. Only 98 posts, and almost none of them have been adding any new info - or even thanking anyone for that matter

Since I don't hang out in the female forums, I do not know Leda. However, based on what has been described above, I cannot believe that she has not had at least one formal warning. So, I think a formal warning is definitely warranted, and possibly, a temporary suspension of posting privileges for 2 weeeks (?).

Then, 3 warnings and you're out ... our customary process.

^ Appears very legit to me, so his request should be, and has been it seems, honored.

Besides, his thread is not very active, and there haven't been any posts for months. Nevertheless, it is unfortunate. He is very cute and definitely has "THE LOOK."

- Many members are saying the report button doesn't work. I rarely see reports now and most send me pms to report. For most who don't know its broken though, the unanswered reports are just interpreted as us simply ignoring them which can only result in less reports and more unchecked offenses.

- There's more members and posts than ever and Maui is the only moderator we have on a regular basis to my knowledge. I think we need some new moderators badly.

- I'd also like to preemptively vote against Matute and Modelknowledge to start off . I like them both a lot and they are great contributors, but both can be mean to other members and giving them power would be disastrous. Members seem to be calling for Sinkio for some reason. He's my boy and all, but I'm not sure whether that's a joke or not though .

- It also seems to me that the prospect of firing is an awkward business, so I wonder if there is any way there could be some sort of trial process in the future? That meaning some kindof spot below moderator whereby you can move threads, edit sigs but maybe not have full moderator power for a trial period. That way, if they prove unfit, relieving them of that office wouldn't be as awkward as firing a mod and demoting a mod to that office would also be less awkward as the last phase before such. On one hand, I think we desperately need more, but on the other hand I don't think we need to just sign a bunch of random people in the spur of the moment and end up in the same situation with just twice as many on staff.

- I also accidentily "reorganized" the musician forum, though I'm not sure what that means . I just wanted to read what that meant and it seems like it just did it instead. I don't see any effects of it though.

- The email notification doesn't work and hasn't for awhile.

- Also, I'm really curious by nature and am curious as to what all that stuff in "Admin CP" does but don't want to destroy the site by accident. Is there a tutorial in there or should I just go by feel ?

Three questions I'd like to add for whomever we nominate as new moderators:

How long have they been here? At least two years

How active have they been during that time? They should sign on nearly every day, or at least for the majority of days each week. Not counting any possible vacation periods of course.

How likely are they to still be here in another year? The answer should be "very likely" or they shouldn't even be considered imho.

Assuming we can nominate members:

I think Berno, donbot and Michael* are decent candidates. As far as I know, none of them have caused much of any trouble, they are on a lot and I know them as being serious enough to handle the responsibility and commit to the task.

Assuming they would want to do it, of course.

- Also, I'm really curious by nature and am curious as to what all that stuff in "Admin CP" does but don't want to destroy the site by accident. Is there a tutorial in there or should I just go by feel ?

No real manual but the menus are pretty intuitive.

I'd say that if you are unsure about something, ask before you proceed?

Yeah, pretty much donbot, Berno, Michael* and CarMelita were the only ones that really came to my mind. Of those, CarMelita is the only one that has expressed interrest to me. The only reservations I have about asking someone is I wonder whether they would feel obligated to say yes and then just leave altogether out of shame if they felt they couldn't do it. In such case losing a good member would be the greater loss. We do need the help though and those are the best candidates I know of .

Hmmm...I don't know . Those are great questions to ask them though. I wonder if there is a subtle way to ask them if they want to. I guess with 'take all the time you want to think about it...if you want to leave the office, feel free' ect. Of those, CarMelita wants it the most, Michael* has the best conduct and visits the widest variety of forums. Of course donbot and Berno are pretty much ideal citizens too.
