. I don't see why they just don't show general games and just have the Spanish commentary overdub. One of my favorites so far though was Toluca vs. San Luis. I think they'd even show a Spanish game from 1-3 years ago over a current game from Europe/rest of the world :| .
Are you sure you're not watching the ESPN Deportes Classic Matches channel? It's weird that they wouldn't have any recent matches

The chance to see Laura Marling escaped me last month, but I'm breaking my barren spell and seeing Dinosaur Jr next week. Hoping to try and catch Regina Spektor in the summer too. Any others for you?

I didn't get Splendour tix, which was disappointing because I found a few people that wanted to go hours after the tickets sold out <_<
How were Dinosaur Jr.? I hear about them a bit, but haven't heard any of there stuff.
I went to see Emily Haines sing songs from Fantasies, backed by a string quartet which was nice. Short (only last about 40 mins), but nice.

3 days into the tourney and I can't say its the best advertisement for football, but there have been some interesting games each day so I can't complain. The ball sucks though but Messi seems to have no problem with it. It's great to have Messi playing 'cause a World Cup without Ronaldo (the real one), Dinho and Zizou just seems like it's missing something.
