I figured she was a tennis player based on the 167 tennis balls, but I don't keep up with the sport. Although I do keep up with many sorts, its one of those sports like golf, bowling, pool, synchronized swimming ect. that is part of my cutoff. Of course, my dislike for many tennis fans probably doesn't help much
. Seeing as how I do love to play, I should maybe keep up a little, but alas basketball, American football, X games, mountain climbing, gymnastics, track, field, regular swimming, paintball, rugby, MMA, table tennis, cheese rolling, tug of war, sack racing ect. will more than suffice
.

Michael, I was just wondering... have you ever been to any big music festivals outside the UK? Because I take it as a given you've been to Glastonbury a few times
so I was wondering if you've been to eg. Roskilde.

Out of curiosity, what models/actresses do you like?
I've never actually seen you post about models or post in a models thread..! You seem to be always elsewhere.
Did you see man of steel?

Have you by any chance ever seen this show called MI-5? A friend and I just saw a few episodes from the early seasons awhile ago and I was pretty hooked
. It seems that it went on for more than ten seasons too.
I didn't think I had at first, but recognised it with the help of Google. I always knew the show as ‘Spooks’, it seems they've re-named it for the US audience. It was pretty big back in the day, and ended up having about a ten-year run on British telly. Picture a BBC equivalent of ‘24’ - equally pacy and hard hitting (poor Lisa Faulkner
), but of course, much much cheaper. ![]()
It’s well worth a watch though, particularly the early seasons. ![]()

Sounds like the perfect idea! Maybe you can have the siggy slide upwards like those advert boards at a football arena surrounding the fields
Ah yes the weather, I've been hearing from others in the UK here on BZ about the surprisingly warm weather you are having at the moment. Soak it up while you can because, well, it's England
And good luck with the cycling sir that is one strenuous work out on the legs
License to print money. ![]()
Yes indeed! I've rarely had as good an excuse as this for time spent at the beach, even though I'm only about a five minute walk from the coast. Legend has it that if it rains today (St. Swithun's Day) then it'll rain for the following 40 days, so needless to say, my fingers are crossed for yet more sunshine. ![]()
It certainly is, it's only now I've gone back to it that I've realised how dreadfully out of practice I am.
I've been following the same route each time, but the difficult bits never seem to be the same twice. What's your sport of choice then, Dave? ![]()

There's a reason why I didn't post that song
it was all 'dancing shoes dancing shoes, dancing shoes oh ohhh dancing shoes dancing shoes dancing shoes oh' and I think that's pretty much it
hmm I think she may be recording right now? Anyway, she's not promoting anything new but I know she had concerts this past spring.
The first verse of 'Dancing Shoes' was quite enjoyable, then the chorus kicked in and I was like 'ah, now I get it'. ![]()
This was the one that really caught my ears back then. Can't imagine it being everyone's cup of tea, but I was really intrigued. I could easily picture a song like that fitting perfectly onto an album by someone like Grimes. ![]()

And I know this image has been out for some time now but it makes me laugh everytime I see it
![]()
Apparently, she's already getting some flack for it, but apart from the two tennis balls she's holding (which is, of course, very subtle
) I think the pictures are relatively tame. I wouldn't really have picked Agnieszka as the type to do a shoot like this, though, so it did come as a bit of a surprise. ![]()

I never actually made it to Glastonbury which I guess is the ultimate, but I've been to a couple of the other major fests, most recently Leeds back in 2009 (which quite honestly, put me off going to many more). Always thought it would be great to go to Roskilde or Benicassim, though. How about you? Do you guys have any major festivals in Poland? ![]()

Tricky one! I think I'd probably count Karlie, Marloes, Edita, Eniko, Tiiu, Bregje, Daria, Sui He and Catherine McNeil and Michelle Ouellette as my current top models. Others kind of come and go for me (sometimes I lose interest in a bit, some grow on me over time) but those ten always seem to remain as core favourites. For actresses, I really like Audrey Tautou, Noomi Rapace, Eva Green, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Milla Jovovich and Zooey Deschanel, amongst others. I still visit the models and actresses sections quite a bit, but mainly just to post thankyous. I rarely post pictures there these days as everyone else is usually much too fast for me. ![]()
Unfortunately not, at least not yet. There were supposed to be a bunch of us going but trying to get everyone together at the same time is proving to be a little more challenging than I thought. Much longer and I’ll probably just sneakily go and see it by myself. ![]()

Also... boy? Girl?
I've got a feeling it's NOT a boy (I hope!) and I like the name Alexandra for a girl. Maybe I'm biased because that's one of my best friends' name
but Alexandra Windsor, that sounds good. Then again, in that weekly magazine I read about how there are at least 3 or 5 different options for the royal baby's last name
so maybe it won't be Miss Windsor afterall.
Maybe I'd bet money on that
but last year before EURO started I had a feeling Russia's gonna be in the finale, maybe even win and look how it ended ![]()

I meant to say MI-5/Spooks since that's what I usually hear it referred to as although when I saw it as just Spooks, I thought it was a show about ghosts until I saw it and realized that it was the same thing
. That's definitely true about the much cheaper too
. On one hand, I don't yet like any of the men as much as Bauer but on the other hand, I prefer
Spook's female characters.
As to Cult's question, I always figured you liked actresses and singers more. I tend to have more of a soft spot for women on shows I like and female artists I like. As a matter of fact, there are some models I'm not that crazy about that I probably would like if they were either on a show I like or had music I like. I must clarify that on the other hand, actresses/models and singers/models who I find attractive but who's work I don't like, I don't give them extra points for being actresses or singers, but think of them moreso as models instead
.
Speaking of actresses, I was wondering what you thought of the Jennifer Laurence craze. I never had a problem with her in anything I saw her in, but must admit that I was really surprised at the Oscar win
. Don't get me wrong, I actually really liked the movie and the performances, but I didn't get the idea at the time that I was looking at an academy award winning performance by any means. As a matter of fact, I didn't see Bradley's performance as being any less than hers. Of course the male category is more competitive though since older and uglier men are generally allowed more good roles than uglier and older women generally are. Still a shame that Julianne Moore, Cicely Tyson and so many other amazing female actresses don't have Oscars looking at some of the women that now do though. Having said that, talent wise she's still an upgrade from some of the young it girls we've had in recent years though and not less confident in tight dresses besides.

Good samaritan?

I like the bolded...
I have a lot of galleries uploaded that feature three of the underlined models. I'm not into the whole hollywood scene as of late so I don't have any actresses that I like enough to follow.
Milla was a supermodel, and hit a high note as Leelou (spelling?) in 'The Fifth Element'.
Eva Green always has a very sexy presence, and was gorgeous in 'Kingdom of Heaven' and 'Casino Royale'.
I remember Noomi from Prometheus but I've never seen Mary W. or Zooey D. in anything. I don't know anything about them except their faces... ![]()

 Can't believe it! I thought you and Glastonbury is a givenYou might have heard about Heineken Open'er Festival, non? That's definitely the biggest one here. Of course I've never been to it
but I know people who go there every year for at least 5 years now. It's also relatively cheap, I mean, there are 4 Polish festivals on the list of 10 which are the most beneficial (that is, the ratio of the artists compared to the price for tickets is the best) I'll look for this list now. This year Rihanna was a 'bonus'-if you bought tickets for each day of the festival, you could see Rihanna 'for free'
which, based on the comments was a bad show and a waste of money for people who bought tickets for RiRi's concert alone.
I'm trying to find the list now, with no result
recently I read in a magazine that apart from Open'er, there were also 3 other festivals on that list. I guess that could be Coke Live, Off Festival, Orange and Audioriver? Although I'm not sure. Lol, you can see I'm not a concert-goer
Maybe one day!
Oddly enough, I was just reading an article about the Heineken Open'er in Gdynia, sounded like fun. ![]()
My sister actually saw Rihanna last month, she said it was a good show but ruined slightly by the number of people getting sunburnt, drunk and aggressive down the front. I went to see Kings of Leon at the same venue a couple of years ago, and unfortunately, it was much the same kind of atmosphere. An older guy in front fell down drunk, knocked a young girl over and then raised his fist towards her when she said something to him. At the time I thought 'never again', and that pretty much still stands, even if they find a way to bring Kurt Cobain back. ![]()

Ah btw remember when you wrote how your media keep asking what is there in Poland that our players were so successful this year? In one of the weekly magazines there was an article on that (and how we really don't have a system) and it was mentioned that up until a few years ago, one of the richest men from Poland was the main sponsor, as his daughter took liking in tennis. But then she just wasn't that successful and he stopped financing it and that's pretty much itI feel bad, because when that millionaire (billionaire?) name was mentioned I was like: wait, didn't he die 2 years ago? Turns out I confused him with another one
anyway, of course Jerzy and his parents selling shops were mentioned, but supposedly he got 0,5 mln from the association. True or not he couldn't go to Australia not a long time ago as he didn't have enough money
and played at lame tournaments to slowly gain points. Fortunately Paris happened last year and he's #17 now.
As for the photo. I CANNOT BELIEVE it made such fuss! There are right-wing publicists talking about it (one of them said 'wife's intimacy is for her husband'
), right-wing female politician (she said: "If I was in Agnieszka's position I wouldn't bare it all" and everyone is commenting: Good, because no one wanted to see you naked anyway
) and celebrities. Aga was now excluded from "I'm not afraid of Jesus" campaign for 'unmoral behaviour'
fun fact, Lewnadowski and Błaszczykowski were also a part of this campaign.
The strange thing is, I thought it was said she was going to pose for "FHM" or other magazine of this sort, so I really don't know why everyone is making such a thing off of it. Those are pretty innocent photos. Yet the fact that her father is known from pretty radical political opinions (on Smolensk) which he supposedly passes on Aga and Urszula makes it a bit more understandable (the whole fuss, that is)
I'm not sure if it's the same guy, but I was reading that the best ever male Polish player (pre-Janowicz) was also from one of the richest families in the country, who are apparently the owners of one of the most extensive collections of art in Europe. I can't remember his name now, pretty sure he played in either the 80s or 90s though. ![]()
The Radwanska photo even sparked a debate this week on a well-known daytime TV show over here, about whether sports stars should be considered role models or not, and the pros and cons of doing these kinds of photoshoots. It's all getting a bit odd. ![]()

I actually thought it would turn out to be a girl too, though I'm only really taking a major interest if they present it to the public like Simba in 'The Lion King'. ![]()
Here's how I imagine the baby was conceived though... ![]()

Yeah, same here, when actresses and musicians are involved in something good it always helps, and pretty much all the actresses I like are from movies I like. I could never really get with the notion of just looking at a photo of someone and going 'she's my new favourite' - I always have to know more about them, hear them speak, that sort of thing.
I suppose it's a little bit different with models though, since photoshoots are more a part of their bread and butter.
I went to see ‘Winter's Bone’ at the cinema on a whim a couple of years ago, and I liked it so much that I reserved my spot on the Jennifer bandwagon shortly afterwards. My interest in her has waned a bit as of late though, not really sure why. Maybe it’s because she’s always so mean to squirrels in her movies.
She wouldn't have been my automatic pick for an Oscar beforehand, but I didn't begrudge her the win. She always brings it and was a likeable and engaging presence in what I found to be an otherwise rather silly film ('Silver Linings Playbook').

Good samaritan?
I can't believe that after all that, she just chucked her drink out. Ungrateful or what? ![]()
