I like the bolded...

I have a lot of galleries uploaded that feature three of the underlined models.  I'm not into the whole hollywood scene as of late so I don't have any actresses that I like enough to follow.

Milla was a supermodel, and hit a high note as Leelou (spelling?) in 'The Fifth Element'.

Eva Green always has a very sexy presence, and was gorgeous in 'Kingdom of Heaven' and 'Casino Royale'.

I remember Noomi from Prometheus but I've never seen Mary W. or Zooey D. in anything.  I don't know anything about them except their faces...

I first saw Noomi in the Swedish version of ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, and after that I was a fan for life. I hear there’s another ‘Prometheus’ movie currently in the works, which I’ll be most interested to check out when the time comes. The next year or so should be pretty good for Eva fans too, she’s expected to appear in the sequels to ‘300’ and ‘Sin City’.

For Mary Elizabeth, I’d highly recommend ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs The World’ if you haven’t already seen it, it was probably as perfect a representation of a comic book as I’ve ever seen.

Any other movies on your 'to-do' list at the moment?

Do you have books you haven't read?

It’s funny, I often find myself going through phases of reading constantly and then hardly at all, and alas, I’m out of the habit currently. I actually went on a bit of a kick last year though and read almost all the books on my to-do list (Murakami, Hemingway, Fitzgerald and Herman Hesse). Thus, I don’t really have very many must-reads in mind at the moment. Always on the look-out for recommendations though!

By the way Andy, since I know you're something of a Batman fan, I was wondering if you're at all interested in the forthcoming 'Arkham: Origins' video game?

Good samaritan?

I can't believe that after all that, she just chucked her drink out. Ungrateful or what?

I was reading a few of the YouTube comments and sure enough a lot of people mentioned the same thing But then again, who likes a cup of cold coffee? :yuckky:

So how have things been going on your side of the pond sir?

Also... boy? Girl?

I've got a feeling it's NOT a boy (I hope!) and I like the name Alexandra for a girl. Maybe I'm biased because that's one of my best friends' name but Alexandra Windsor, that sounds good. Then again, in that weekly magazine I read about how there are at least 3 or 5 different options for the royal baby's last name so maybe it won't be Miss Windsor afterall.

Maybe I'd bet money on that but last year before EURO started I had a feeling Russia's gonna be in the finale, maybe even win and look how it ended

I actually thought it would turn out to be a girl too, though I'm only really taking a major interest if they present it to the public like Simba in 'The Lion King'.

Here's how I imagine the baby was conceived though...

I'M SO TERRIBLE AT BETTING

Haha, but as the baby is Cancer maybe it's better that it's a boy. Then again, remember our 'discussion' from some weeks ago that I noticed many top models, mainly the ones from Brazil, are Zodiac Cancer?

And lol@the reference of this gif

Good point, though I think I would have at least had a sip out of it just to be polite.

Can’t complain, the weather’s still pleasant (if not quite as good as last week) and I’m pressing on a bit more with the cycling. I've discovered a killer hill nearby and given myself a week to ride up it without having to get off and push. Hard yards!

That’s interesting actually - from occasionally helping maintain our A-Z directory, I notice that the most common name for female models (at least, the ones we have threads for at BZ) seems to be Anna, so I guess if a baby girl was born in Brazil between June 22-July 22 and named Anna, there could be a good chance she’d grow up to become a top model. Perhaps there's some kind of formula?

The movie was pretty silly although I feel as though I know all of the characters . Well, I know I do. I wonder if some is lost in translation to those outside of the NFL fan group although still silly nonetheless. It is interesting how the female category seems pretty wide open from year to year whereas there are some great male talents who will probably never win unless its lifetime achievement. I'm not sure whether Gary Oldman's ever been nominated whereas Reese Whitherspoon and Sandra Bulluck have won . That's not to say men are more talented or that there's less female talent available by any means with women outnumbering men and being as talented as a unit. Now that its pretty much said and done, what do you think Beckham's legacy on the field will be or is? That is where he ranks (if football fans quantify such a thing) I say on the field because he has a separate legacy as a power couple and model of course.

Just one sip for proper etiquette indeed

Ah wonderful I heard how warm it's been in the U.K. recently, almost makes one dreaded the coming winter don't it? Well take advantage of the vitamin D while it lasts. Still on the biking I see, keep me updated on when you trek Mount Everest sir

As for me nothing to out of the ordinary here, work from the office and at home this past week. Possible excursion this coming weekend but I doubt that will come into fruition. So time in the pool and maybe a short local hike might come into play at the most.

An English dialect translation needed . The ones I know are Americanized but it could be that it just didn't sound right when I said it. Anyway, I was watching a BBC show and the guy said, "I feel just so much joy, I'm just so choft(?) or chafed or possibly chift? I rewound it several times and then put it in a search engine and still got nothing .

Cheft - 'do you mean chef?'
Choft - Chaft Yoma Maher
Chaft - 'do you mean chap?'

Through all of the science fiction books taking place in the Middle Ages I've read and all of the BBC shows I've seen, I don't recall such a word in that context.

I suppose you do get some years where the field is really strong, and others where it’s pretty open, but this past year was a mixture of predictable and curious. I actually think ‘Argo’, although it was a good movie, will go down as one of the most forgettable best picture winners of all time. In 10 years, people will probably think back and go ‘what was that one about again?’. And oddly, Ben Affleck was overlooked for a director’s nomination, as if to say - ‘it was a great movie, apart from the guy in charge’.

In general, I’ve got a lot of time for Beckham. He was never blessed with the most extravagant technique, great speed or raw athleticism, but his success on the pitch was a great advert for spirit, dedication and hard work, which I’d take from any pro sportsperson. Will I remember him as one of the true all-time greats? Probably not. As one of the best of his generation? Without a doubt. The sheer volume of goals and general chaos his passing provided was quite incredible. It's a bit of a shame really (though of course, it's ensured that he'll never be short of a quid or two) that his lifestyle became so prominent, as I think his achievements on the pitch are quite often pushed to the background by his celebrity status.

Everything I know about the NFL was gleaned from playing the old John Madden video games on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis console. I also watched the Superbowl for the first time just last year, but I have to say, I still don't fully understand the rules. Funnily enough, news just came through today that there's a possibility of London receiving an NFL franchise in the not too distant future. I don't really know how such a thing would go down in the States, but I'd be most interested to see it.

I'm certainly enjoying it while it lasts, it's the great British summer so it's probably safe to assume we'll be getting some weather at some point.

Sounds pretty good to me. Whereabouts was the excursion going to be?

Oh, like ‘chuffed’ as in ‘I was really chuffed about that’? Yeah, it’s basically just a synonym of delighted, joyful, thrilled etc. It probably only originated in about the 1950s, I doubt you'd often hear anyone say it outside of the British Isles.

Is that summer weather still strolling along? Funny enough we are having abnormally low temps for this time of the year. Into week 2 of fall like weather and no end in sight I dearly hope it's stays this way all thru August as it’s usually one piss poor hot month

Ah, the small hike was at a place called Wildwood Regional Park, more just a walk around then anything else but nice to get the body moving and blood flowing and a bit of much needed exercise.

I like the sound of that, you guys sure do have some picturesque places in California.

I must have jinxed it about the weather, the rain has decided to tip itself all over us today. Presumably, all those silly wallies complaining about it being too hot here have now moved on to complaining about it being too wet.

As to the best director and best picture thing, this is the same organization that thinks Clint Eastwood is a better director than Martin Scorsese, who what can I say 1062-wine.gif ?! They are quite a political group. I don't keep up with best picture as much (although I'll remember nominations and winners I happen to see of course) as the acting categories because I see myself as having more insight into acting and writing versus such a broad scope as 'best picture.' That along with the fact that I thought adding an extra five nominees along with a best animated picture was a huge mistake. Although, when I have seen the movies, I can pretty much predict with at least 99% accuracy what they'll do in any category.

LOL, 'chuffed' is definitely what he said . I had to rewind that so many times and nothing I thought came up in a search obviously even while seeing that the context was that he was happy about something. I wish I had known that was one of the last episodes before I got involved though. It ended on a cliff hanger and then starts back at the beginning which was almost 20 years ago . Speaking of words though, isn't it interresting that bands of the past twenty years or so have to sometimes work harder to come up with names ? It seems like if you were there first or earlier, you had dibs on names such as 'The Beatles', 'Cream', 'Black Sabbath' or 'The Monkeys.' Then on the other hand, 'The Black Crows', 'The Yeah, Yeah Yeahs' and 'Living Colour' seem to have been sitting around for quite awhile. Then again, 'Europe' was too . Obviously no one else would have thought of 'Iron Butterfly' 'Parliament Funkadelic' or 'Led Zepplin' the so and so band, the so and so group or anything specific to your own experiences though.

There most certainly is no pleasing some people. Even if we're lucky in England (and especially here, in one of the northernmost parts of the country) we only get about two months' worth of decent weather anyway. Give it another couple, it'll probably be threatening to snow.

Yeah, that's true, I think there's a lot that are actually written and produced with the specific aim of impressing the academy.

It does seem like artists have to work a little harder to give their bands unique names these days, and even more so to come up with a name that’s easy to find with online search engines. A few years ago, a great many fell into that trap of naming themselves vague things like Girls, Happy Birthday, Tennis and Teeth, all of which are virtually unGoogleable. I guess that’s probably part of the reason why we’ve seen monikers like A$AP Rocky, Chvrches and Charli XCX spring up in the last year or two. I’ve noticed there are quite a few ‘Something & The Somethings’ type names cropping up as of late too, which as an added bonus, usually look great on t-shirts or (in some cases, I'm sure) tattooed on foreheads.
