- Since most of the famous blondes (much like everyday life in some places) aren't real blondes, the 'dumb blonde' stereotype is largely perpetuated by women who aren't even blonde.

I have a serious suspicion that when someone is dumb, that someone feels this real need to die his/her head blond. Why? Because "everyone says it´s sexy. And Marylin was blond. And she was sexy, right?" Also, mostly all the playmates are blond, and when that someone fails in acting... well, at least she can be a "model".

- R&B is dead for the most part, so do away with the category on major award shows. It probably won't happen since it would be misconscrued as racist somehow, but should be done. I don't even say that because of the fact that its been replaced by rap or that most of those labeled such today couldn't have sung backup in the 40-70s, but based on the definition of the genre itself (rythym and blues). R&B and pop are styles, not colors. Most 'R&B singers' at the moment are actually pop singers, but are only called R&B singers because they're black.

I always find this extremely ridiculous. R&B? Like, where???

- Technology has actaully made cop shows less realistic instead of more realistic. Due to the fact that most of the characters have to be under a certain age now and the reliance on the 'computer guy', sexuality and autopsies they increasingly skimp on everything else as a result.

They tend to be SO alike that´s it´s almost boring.

- Though more trendy than ever, having a bunch of tatoos isn't that cool anymore. The reason is, because its so trendy there are a bunch of lame people that have them now whereas it used to be what tough, cool or edgy people did.

- BBC original versions are way better than the American versions. Replacing all the characters with better looking people doesn't make it better than the original.

It isn´t! :persuazn: or maybe it is, but not for very long... the memories and likeness for such women vanishes very soon... and leaves nothing at all. However, I think I´ve become somewhat resistant to these "actresses" and "musicians"... I just got bored by the whole business. It´s all the same, all the time.

Funny, because it's kind of the opposite for me.. more so with musicians than actresses I guess. Physical attraction is cultivated/enhanced from their performances and talent, rather than the other way around

I know, Danni. But these are the rules, no nipples, no private parts, no see-through stuff. It's because our advertising partners want it, and since no one want BZ to become a paid forum, we can only try to act within these rules. It's double-annoying for me for not only do I have to check on everytrhing I want to post as a member but as a mod too to get rid of all those nude pictures. I'm still trying to save the nudes, re-upload them with another image-host and text-link them in their original post, but I know there will come the time I just don't want to download the next nipplegate to my computer and re-upload it and will just delete the pic and get on with it. People know about the nudity rule, why is it they don't apply? Am I responsible for keeping those pics in the threads even if I don't like the model/actress/whatever? I don't mind a little nudity from time to time, there are really beautiful high fashion or art photography editorial images that I'm fond of, but all those tacky or even pornish nude stuff? I really don't like to have that on my computer ... :sigh:

But of course being as I am I will continue to download and re-upload and PM people about the nudity issue, because I love this forum and want the threads to have the most accurate content about the model's work. I want to challenge every other source on the planet

there is someone really strange who follow my stuff and i would like to know who is he (even if i'm pretty sure to know who this sh*thead is... and could be able to check some threads as guest member...). since few months (july i think) i thought there was something strange in the view of pictures i uploaded and my thread about diane arbus had proved i was right. i uploaded many photographies from my computer and later i realized they all wore messy names and then it was impossible to make the difference between the ones i had alreay uploaded and the ones i never posted, so i decided to rename all the pictures and reuploaded them with the right name to always exactly know where the list is stopped.

so few days later i reuploaded the 3 first series and because i was lazy, i stopped there and the uploader always classify pictures in a messy order. strangely the next day, someone had checked the 4 next series. not all the pictures but not far, in the kind of "big brother is watching you and he saw you have reorganized your stuff". and then, day by day, he has watched the one he didn't watched from the 4 series until he saw everything. usually normal people just pick u^one time the stuff they like and nothing else, and this is because of this kind of behavior i noticed him. then something like 2 weeks later i reuploaded the 2 next series and i was "ok, if a shithead is spying me, something strange will happen" and few hours later, the guy had checked all the pictures (included ones he had already saw) but not the 2 series i reuploaded. in a thread without new reply since 10 days!!! shitapoopoo!!! means, "big brother is still watching you". fucking stalker!!! notice few hours later in a thread without new answer since 14 days that i changed the way i classified 20 pictures on something like 200 pictures that's really creepy!

The contents of the complaint you just replied to sounded pretty 'stalkerish'- both the complainer & her apparent picture viewer(s). I've stated this earlier on this thread: Eliminate the 'anonymous' function. I believe that anonymous posters (including you and the above) are using this method to monitor profiles without being detected. I don't call posters who do this 'stalkers' though- since that's a loaded term with a wide realm of connotations. They are more like interested 'monitors'.

Without taking sides I'm a bit irritated about this issue. So there seems to be someone continuously looking at Baby's posts, but well, what's the problem about it? I can only talk from my experience, but I too use the "Find member's topic/post"-function. For example if I want to check if another member posted something interesting that I might have not noticed yet or to find that Diane Arbus thread you were talking about, Baby (by the way please mind the nudity rule ). Is it really something to get upset about? Does it mean I'm a stalker too? I don't know! I call it keeping track of things ... one could say, "Look, there's this damn Carmelita again looking at my profile, probably checking on whatever I did and secretely spying on me".

I got that there is a longer story behind it, isn't there, with what you said about "blocking" and stuff, so I can only hope we can solve it out, guys. This forum shouldn't be about stalking or accusing or defending or taking sides. I mean, it's just a place to hang out, right? Everyone should enjoy being here.

And speaking now as the forum member not as the mod: what is that stupid thing about "rating"/"downrating" each other's profile? Are people really noticing how many stars one got? A young, dark brown actress is an endangered species for the most part whereas there were several in the 90s and 80s, possibly even the 70s when there was far less overall diversity than today. Light brown to vanilla shade is a more strict requirement for black actresses than any time in the last twenty five years. Of course, dark is relative in that Kerry Washington is dark compared to Amy Adams even though she is actually light brown on the scale of brown (that's not to say she's what they call 'light skinned' which is more yellow to vanilla shade). Someone like Usher (former R&B singer, now pop singer) is probably regular brown and actresses even his color have declined. That Precious girl might be more unique for her age group for being dark even than for being big . For a young dark woman, its actually much easier to become a fashion model than an actress, which is ironic because fashion has more stringent standards of looks (height, weight ect.).

There's probably four that qualify as R&B that are generally nominated (Alecia Keys, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, John Legend) so there's no sence in having a category for four people when they're popular enough to be nominated for pop if they have an album out .

Yeah, she's not a good singer (mostly off key, though has improved somewhat live as you said). I must admit, she has some guilty pleasure tunes for me too and I love hearing her talk and think she's super cute. Its probably more inevitable with actresses though since there's so many. I like some actresses that I actually thought were commercial models because I'd never actually seen in anything . As much as their music grates on me, I actually respect the bad musicians more because they're music is still appealing to people whereas actresses are sometimes forced on people and we can't really tell their tangible impact compared to record and ticket sales. We see shows with hot girls cancelled in three episodes all the time and then they slap one into something that would have succeeded anyway and claim she was necessary . There's always been actresses there for looks only too, but it just seems both the minimum standard of looks is raised and they get more starring roles and are more like A list household names I guess.

With the musicians, its a funny thing because its women and gay men who are buying most of their albums . They've definitely always been around, but were moreso one hit wonders rather than icons. The thing with record company and looks with women in music though is that every cosmetics commercial, editorial, poster, Maxim appearance, magazine cover in the check out isle, web site, youtube page, facebook page, twitter page ect. is advertisement for whatever music they have out. Its interresting in a way. Some record companies promote an artist thinking of the potential of all of this and sometimes their success is a direct result of how much they promoted them rather than their actual looks . With models interrestingly enough, its considered by many to be all about looks when (aside from the art of posing as we've discussed) some of the girls maintain or maintained good grades while working such a demanding job traveling the world. That to me is a very underrated quality.

Yeah, that's the same for me in any case . With some I may need more intangibles than others but usually great talent + just a little bit to work with in looks goes a long way with me . That's not to say there aren't some who are attractive in a more 'obvious' way and talented I just don't like because they just don't do it for me of course. With a female athlete who's actually good, just having a decent attitude and being feminine alone can often be enough . I definitely have a weakness for singers and in the case of Kimbra for example, her talent enhances what she has in looks.

'Baby' is also on my ignore list and has been there for a very long time, so I never respond to anything she directs towards me. I find some of her posts, including the above, highly eccentric and logically erratic, so I avoid them. <- This is not an insult. It is my frank view.

What I am implying is that this seems to be another one of 'Baby's manufactured dramas- looking for boogeymen where there aren't any- This is why I found the Lu's apparently off-the cuff supportive statement unsound. As you say, her complaint seems to be that somebody (or people) is/are viewing the picture hosting site that she uses to upload paintings in the arts and literature thread. So these people (I am not one of them) are interested in her painting hoster. I don't think that's something worth complaining about or part of the jurisdiction of BZ.

As for the profile 'stalking' thing.

When I get bored and have nothing to post, I go around and look at peoples profiles. Generally to see if they've updated their 'About Me' pages or whatever. There are some really awesome graphics that people make there. Is this stalking?

And for the anonymous users, I always thought it was like being invisible on aim or yahoo. 'I'm here but don't bug me' Some people tend to attack(force attention) on others when they are online. I understand why people hide.

i have had issues in the past on other sites with serious stalkers and even ehre on bz with the "i am gonna mark down your stars cuse you upset me" bit, among other things, but i have resigned myself to that jsut people being internet cowards and not being able to say something "face to face".

The meaning of the word 'stalking' seems to be stretched to the hilt. I've had this conversation about transparency vs. non transparency before. It seems that final preferences are unlikely to be one of scientific analysis but rather one that lies within the realm of the subjective.

Without taking sides I'm a bit irritated about this issue. So there seems to be someone continuously looking at Baby's posts, but well, what's the problem about it? I can only talk from my experience, but I too use the "Find member's topic/post"-function. For example if I want to check if another member posted something interesting that I might have not noticed yet or to find that Diane Arbus thread you were talking about, Baby (by the way please mind the nudity rule ). Is it really something to get upset about? Does it mean I'm a stalker too? I don't know! I call it keeping track of things ... one could say, "Look, there's this damn Carmelita again looking at my profile, probably checking on whatever I did and secretely spying on me".

I got that there is a longer story behind it, isn't there, with what you said about "blocking" and stuff, so I can only hope we can solve it out, guys. This forum shouldn't be about stalking or accusing or defending or taking sides. I mean, it's just a place to hang out, right? Everyone should enjoy being here.

And speaking now as the forum member not as the mod: what is that stupid thing about "rating"/"downrating" each other's profile? Are people really noticing how many stars one got? And if there's only one, would it stop you from getting in contact with the person? Does it say anything about the member's posts or personality? I think not, it's just a gimmick, therefore I don't get the fuzz. If people feel the need to act so childish and abuse this function to get a high out of it when downrating another, well, that's just pathetic and I can only feel sorry for them for they don't seem to have much joy in life.

well, carmelita, i replied to you in the diane arbus thread about nudity. by the way, if i looked for a thread about stalking it's because of my current problem on bellazon, and thenn i talked about the photographer who's absolutely not a stalker but was exactely the kind of guy/behavior describ in the first post. that's why i feel free to talk about it.

no, i have absolutely no problem with sweet lu. yes i have problem with cult icon, since a while. i think i clearly explained my problem i don't need to do it a second time. yes someone watch my stuff, which at the begging is not a problem at all, but this is the way where this thing are make who's distrub me. i'm the kind of person who easily notice details that usually people notice. and do you think this kind of act is "normal" ? no! why he make it, i don't know. there is not logic into this act. i'm perfectly aware of it and sorry but this is not my fault is this person don't act normally! trust me i also hesite before exposing this trouble because i think that's so weird. but in same time should i say, when you make this kind of stuff, you're rarely fine in your head, so logic...

yes, they don't attact me but don't you think this is not unconfortable and disturbing to know that's someone psy you like it. at the point to notice when you had edited a message written there are 14 days ago ? people who don't insult you should be allow to spend hours to spy by your home's windows even if they are in the street ?

by the way Cult Icon pretend be block me (which is a liar) because he spent his time to piss me of with stupid stuff, i asked him many and many time to let me alone hich is refused to do, i told him if i was interested by him i should make the base, means the email he sent me whih i never do, he say i was a liar, when i asked him to leave me alone it mean i absolutely wanted him with me and see him stay with me so i've been obligated to make a screencap of my mailbox to prouve him i never read the email he sent me. so he said that i was crazy (of course, only crazy people can't be interesting buy a such incredible guy) and then decided to block me. funny when A we know in all my message i asked him to leave me alone and B you must go on someone profil to block him if this person had never sent you an email (which i never make with him) and my last visitor was pennydreaddful 3 days before. but cult icon is cult icon and had certainly a magic button than nobody else know... he reject him, but mister is so proud, so superficial than he tries to convince other people and himself that no, if we talk together this is not because i don't want, but because this is mister's decission! he's completely ridiculous!!!

then 3 months later, he saw me wrote i said i hate Ridley Scott's movies and as you can imagine, all the forum members spend their time to do it. and that's why few hours later he had created a thread where he asked why buff movies hated ridley scott movies. he forgotten that he pretended blocked me (yeah dude, you failed!) and certainly expected i would post on this thread and then talk with him, and show me how amazing he is and blablabla. sorry but no way for me!

so now he play the "i quote the person who quote her to reply to her post to avoid to be more ridiculous that i already am. and i still try to inverse our role". maybe i'm wrong but i think he's this person who watch my picture and that's why i've been so violent toward him. his behavior is creepy.

ophelia, yes, you can check people profil, everyone is free to do what he wants. i on't make this kind of stuff but i have nothing against it. which is disturb me is see someone who had notice i change the sens/order of the stuff i posted there are 2 weeks ago. so remember how i posted it, so it means A this person had already saw my stuff, and B perfectly remember how i posted it. this is noty "i check one time someone stuff because i have nothing more interesting to do" but i "i checks someone stuff all the time and notice every little thing who change" and this is extrelmy creepy!

yes carmelia, this is the "Manage your attachments" where i saw it. i often use it to A quickly remove many pictures in same time and B see which artists interest people.

by the way, i think there is something better to read threads without be view. it's called "log out"

"R&B" is a totally nebulous term nowadays. Really - what qualifies? Seems rather bizarre now that the so-called 'British Invasion' of the 1960's was predicated on groups playing such music...

Maybe because they covered some R&B songs in their early days, but I think I've seen an article like that for Elvis too if I'm not mistaken. Both have more soul than Trey Songz though . What's funny to me too is that a lot of artists from even way before the invasion that people today refer to as soul were actually called rock n' roll artists in their own time. The Rock n' Roll party radio show intially had mostly of what we now call R&B initially I think. Another question about today though is whether singing (not singing singing, but moreso melodic talking) over rap beats R&B or hip hop. Maybe it depends on if they sing with R&B styled inflections or not, I guess.

I have been stalked especially from people you never hear from but you see them looking at your profile is creepy and scary this is the reason why I don't visit this website often because I am trying to prevent stalker. by the way how can you make yourself invisible?

1. been able to change your username as much as you want

2. preventing stalker.

3. changing the logo picture
